Happy 4th of July,

my dear friend! 

I hope you're enjoying this special day

with lots of sunshine, laughter,

a good old-fashioned barbecue.

Even though I’m here in Germany,

I want you to know that

I’m thinking of you 

and I’m also surrounded by

many American friends and

acquaintances who are proudly celebrating

It’s always nice to see how people

come together on this day,

waving flags, sharing stories,

and enjoying
