And then comes gratitude. For the life that is. For what came true and for what didn't. For loved ones, for friends, for opportunities. And for impossibilities too. For those who have gone and for those who have been found. For the city where I am at home, and for all the cities where it is so cozy to be a guest. For the things that have been done and for what is yet to come. For new beginnings. For the landscapes outside the train windows. For fellow travelers. And for myself. That I don't give up. That I notice.
“Life is like eating a watermelon. You know you’re going to get some seeds, just spit them out and take another bite.” – Jeff Steinmann ~ I only eat seeded watermelon, enjoyed one that was juicy and sweet. Checking in allergies trying get me down... thankful for antihistamines and golden milk Have a great evening friend
“If you focus on only the seeds in a watermelon, you missed the sweetness of the meat.” – Wally Amos
