The okra is finally getting ready! 

Hello Bud, not sure I told you that there was a snake on my front porch last week. Stretched across the railing just waiting to scare the pee out of me. lol. That same day Emily had a huge rattlesnake in the hwy in front of her house. Some young men stopped and killed him. He was 4 feet long or so but as big around as a person's forearm.   We're getting
the outer bands of TS Bertha but just light rain so far and we can actually use more rain.

For those interested, here’s a quick update...

Pompon is suffering from severe hepatitis;

his pancreas has tripled in size and is full of biliary sludge.

Everything is inflamed...

and today, he has a large abscess on his head.

In addition to all the other medications in his IV drips, he is being given an antibiotic and a painkiller.

However, he has started eating a little again when I offer him his food bowl, and he responds when I speak to him...

Unfortunately, I can't be at the vet clinic all the time—there are visiting hours...

There is only a very slight improvement... but it’s significant...

It gives me hope...

I am very grateful to those who are praying for us...
