The First day of Spring in my back yard. These are some of the Turkeys who came to visit. I watched them come up from the drop in back from the Valley below. My neighbor two doors down who moved here from Chicago feeds them corn.

With a Sad heart, We have Unfortunate News today!
MeMe8841 Passed away Today, December 26th, in her sleep. She went peacefully with her two daughters by her side at the time of her Passing. Meme was a very special lady, active at Boomers, and a friend to all. She will be Greatly Missed.
Please Keep MeMe, her two daughters, and her family in your prayers.
I miss You my Friend.

When I lived up north I enjoyed lots of Wild Deer , Pheasants . Crains and weasels and more. I had two Goats who were French Alpine Breed. and a pair of geese, when I would walk the dogs down the rd the geese would follow. I think back and enjoyed the time with them.

The Dog House you see was brand new Build by a Nephew. and as you can see the Goats enjoyed it and it got a beating, with them jumping up on it. When it was in better shape I would sit on it with them and they would buck me off with their heads.They were so much fun.

This is the first Time Bentley Had to wear his USA coat when he went out. It's to cold For the little 6 pounder fur baby to stand outside and get a picture of him. So we took a Picture of him by our Small Christmas tree. He growled and mumbled as I asked him to stay close to the tree to get this picture . This was the best We could Do...

As most of you know at one time I ran a Small Dog Rescue. Someone once said to me you Need to share some stories. There were Many Dog's That had stories to share. One Night I got a call from a Dog breeder who had a small 2 1/2 pound pomeranian that had health issues. She never gave a detail on the issues just mentioned legs.I said sure we will take her in and give her medical help.
I met with them when I saw what her issue were it broke my heart, she could not stand on her two back legs. I was sure this breeder was about to put her to sleep if I had not taken her. The Condition she had was called Luxating pattela and it is a painful. The next Day I talked to the vet and we made arrangements to have both back knees operated on,
The surgery went well and we Named her "Pomette".. she had casts put on and while in the cast she was so happy she would run and play, It would make us laugh . For the first time Pomette was able to run and be a normal puppy. Then the day came the Cast Came off and Pomette was placed in her new forever home. She then had a chance to have a Normal life.It was sad yet a Happy time when she left.

I've been out working in the yard, putting Down dirt then seeding and straw , Also planting my garden Just Peppers this year already have one pepper getting close to size to pick.
As Most of you know about the black bear who made a visit one day, and I always have the birds. squirrels and sometimes Turkeys out back behind the fence,
Yesterday I had One deer who came to visit. I happen to go inside and took the pictures through the window,I waited untill he left to go back out.
This is what it looks like behind fence and aprox 20 ft or more it drops into the Valley below. I love the Nature all Around.

Today I was out back watering and as I was putting my hose away there in the grass siting was what I thought was a Geico, Yet it was aprox 7 inches long, I had to go and check out and seen it was what they call a Skink. I Love being around nature and experiancing new Critters. Below is the picture of my helper.

It's Spring time. The Flowers are blooming . Even my day lillies have the flowers showing and about to open. rose bushes have new leaves.

Today I worked on my Garden area. weeding it I need to put down a few bags of dirt for vegtables.and I'm ready to plant. Can't wait till I'm picking veggies out of my garden.

I was about to walk out of Kitchen into the screened Patio and looked out there was a hawk sitting on the vinyl fence.
I didn't dare open the door for it to fly off so I went and grabbed my camera and got some pictures. He was not small. and this was as good as I could get without opening the door.
Then I decided to open the door and take a chance of getting a better Picture before he flew away.
