I looked in

through the window

and searched

for things I knew

I saw a list

marked "friends"...

and on this list

were few.

The pages were

somewhat tattered

and the ink

a faded grey...

and there you were 

all along

loved

in every way.

The ink may fade

as years go by

but my love

will never end

and on this list

I hope you'll stay...

and always

be my friend.

I wished upon a twinkling star

and to God I sent this letter...

Lord I ask you one more time

please listen to this prayer.

For all the children in this world

who suffer needlessly..

please dry their eyes, and stop their cries

and help them grow up free.

For all the homeless in this world

who have no family...

please help them live, to them please give

peace and harmony.

For all the aged and the ill

who have no hope at all...

I ask you Lord to strengthen them

and hear them when they call.

For all the moms in this world

who's job just never ends...

please give them kind and loving words

for broken hearts they mend.

For all the others in this world

who struggle day by day...

please give them hearts that understand

you'll love them come what may.

Thank you Lord for this I know

you always hear me call...

This prayer is for those I love

I love them one and all.

when God made your heart

it was loving and true.

Beautiful as the morning

breathtaking as dew...

it's the Spirit of Love

I see living in you.

More precious than diamonds

the love that you send...

Heaven needed another angel...

but I know that's just not true.

You were taken far to young

your life was hardly thru.

I just don't understand Dear Lord

Why the children die...

It stops me cold, and breaks my heart

as saddened tears I cry.

He was just a little boy

a happy little soul...

taken from the world he knew

never to grow old.

I'll keep him in my heart

and remember him with joy...

and Lord I'll ask for just one favor...

Please take care

of that sweet, sweet boy.

I watched

the day unfold

as the wind

blew thru the tree's

The wonder

of God's beauty

took me

to my knees.

The sky was painted

like a dream

A brilliant

baby blue...

and all the beauty

reminded me

She reminded me

of lush green meadows

and flowers

in the sun.

A golden child

of goodness

Her life

had just begun.

When she laughed

the world laughed too

and everything

seemed right.

She came into the world

each morning

and filled my heart

with light.

And each time

when the day was done

She'd leave me

with a smile.
