I've seen the golden mornings and I've felt the cold steel rain.
I remember all the joy And I remember all the pain.
I've heard the precious laughter of a child at play.
I've seen the twinkling stars at night and lazy summer days.
I've loved and lost and loved again just to make things right.
I've felt the sting of loneliness and I've felt the warmth at night.
I've known the days of happiness and I've known the days of crying.
But today I choose to thank the lord and live my life by smiling.

Colors woven in his life A tapestry serene.
There was wonder in his eyes childlike you could say.

I thought it was a happy tear And I thougt I saw you smile.
But it seems the darkest time is right before the trial.
Now I stand with my faith to help me through the rain.
Make me understand dear Lord Why must we suffer all this pain?

She became my dream come true by showing me her love.
More beautiful than diamonds... as precious as a child.

In their hearts I see the truth
that comes from deep within
The hidden secrets in their lives
of unrepented sin.
In their eyes I see the pain
that comes from years of sorrow
Not knowing what the day will bring
or if they'll see tomorrow.
And in their words I hear the lies
that even they believe
I bow my head and softly pray
as my spirit grieves.
I pray one day that they will find
the peace that I've been given
For God will surely bless them all

There's something I hold deep inside
it's foolish anger and selfish pride.
It's the Word of God that moves my soul
