Senior Living looking
Posted On 05/03/2013 03:29:50

Back home from a 4 day whirlwind trip to my youngest daughters family in Frisco, Texas (Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday) where we looked into senior living facilities to get Dianna and I closer to our kids In the Dallas / Fort Worth metro plex area and to take care of us as we get older without throwing us on the kindness of our kids. We looked at 7 locations (2) in Frisco, (3) in Plano, (1) McKinny and (1) in Allen, Texas. So far this was a fact finding trip with no decisions expected in the near future but a year from now who knows?

SIGH!!

Brubeck More Memories
Posted On 12/08/2012 08:31:22

Hay kiddo! The fab 50's - 60's! Yep, I listened to Brubeck when I was in High School 1959-61 and at college 1961-63. I went into the Marines in late 1963 then the Viet Nam War in 1965-66. I got married lived in California in Santa Ann 1966 till I left the Marines in December of that year. While in California the Beach boys got hot and I changed direction with my music. My wife and I were beach bunnies when we lived in California. Went back to Brubeck after the kids left home. But, I always loved his music as it took me back to my younger years in my 20's.

Dave Brubeck Jazz
Posted On 12/07/2012 06:18:02

December 5th, Dave Brubeck passed away at 92 years old. Who is he? In the late 1950's and 1960's Thank of hippies, the college social elete, poetry bars, beat niks, and the surfer movies. His band was a jazz combo that rocked the scene with their ususual beat music that would sweep the country. His records passed the million mark many times. His most famous tune was TAKE FIVE. He was QUITE a guy and I for one loved his music. He is for me going to be missed.
