Posted On 02/22/2010 01:58:13

Great idea. Thank you oh' maker of Boomer.  My trouble is..I have so many things wrong with me, it is hard to realize Great Expectations.  so.. mine just end up being silly.  Silly's good right?  I thought and thought and thought.  Now my head hurts...I have the picture in my mind of my mothers sauerkraut and pork rib casserole.  I am hopeless..just rubbish when I try to wax serious..

OH YEAH! when I am online I log into flashchat.  It just sits there while I mess about..I chatted with oneoldbiker tonight.  So if you see me online,  join in and razz me..

TODAYS HOROSCOPE
Posted On 02/09/2010 08:12:37

Your Birthday Today:

Don't fret if you don't blow out all the candles on your first try. No cake? Maybe it's fretting time. Much like last year, you won't reach any of the goals you set this year but look for a new bakery to open in your neighborhood that's bound to make you forget goals altogether. Focus on variety this year, give the Chocolate Lobster Tail a try. Accept love and sugar graciously.

Aries:

Consume Chinese food then follow what your fortune cookie says...in bed.

Taurus:

Seize the day but totally waste the night away.

Gemini:

A lover will stick by your side provided you buy some duct tape

Cancer:

Don't go fishing. Save time and go to the market instead. You stink when you go fishing.

Leo:

Make sure your morning breathe doesn't make it to the afternoon

Virgo:

Compiling a list of people you hate will prove beneficial

Libra:

Weight becomes a non issue when you meet a guy/girl who likes 'em big boned

Scorpio:

The world is your oyster. Too bad you're allergic to shell fish.

Sagittarius:

Work will be demanding. Remember to pass on any blame and take credit for any success

Capricorn:

Kick start a new career and getting out of bed is not a career.

Aquarius:

Let bygones be bygones. Use your time to forge new grudges.

Pieces:

A so called friend may make public your closet love of country music.

If  you see me on line..give me a shout!

A small tourist hotel was all abuzz about an afternoon wedding where the groom was 95 and the bride was 23. The groom looked pretty feeble and the feeling was that the wedding night might kill him, because his bride was a healthy, vivacious young woman.
But lo and behold, the next morning, the bride came down the main staircase slowly, step by step, hanging onto the banister for dear life. She finally managed to get to the counter of the little shop in the hotel.
The clerk looked really concerned, "Whatever happened to you, honey? You look like you've been wrestling an alligator!
The bride groaned, hung on to the counter and managed to speak,"Ohhh my God! He told me he'd been saving up for 75 years and I thought he meant his money!!"

NEWS ON THE HOMEFRONT (Therman's)

Whatta week...bored outta my goard. Haven't been going anywhere because I need tires on the front of my Van.  Gotta wait till the 3rd of Feb and hit the tire store. I wanted to up grade my tv/monitor to a 29 incher.  That will have to wait. Also wanted to have a collector knife party.  All the hunters around here love the idea.  I am not looking to make money, or care if I break even.  Doing it cuz I love collector knives. Wish I had more room here in the motor home..I'm feeling crowded...Still looking for subsidized housing.  The wait is at least two years.  blah....

WHO IS THIS FAMOUS PERSON?

Jon was excited about his new rifle and wanted to try it out, so he went bear hunting. He spotted a small black bear and shot it. There was then a tap on his shoulder and he turned round to see a larger black bear.
The black bear said "You've got two choices, I either maul you to death or we have sex." Jon decided to bend over.

Even though he felt sore for two weeks, Jon soon recovered and vowed revenge. He headed out on another trip, found the black bear, and shot it. Immediately, there was another tap on his shoulder. This time a big brown bear stood right next to him.

The brown bear said, "That was a huge mistake, Jon. You've got two choices. Either I maul you to death or we'll have rough sex." Again, Jon thought it was better to comply.

Although he survived, it was several months before Jon finally recovered. Outraged, he headed back to the woods, managed to track down the brown bear and shot it. He felt sweet revenge, but then there was a tap on his shoulder. He turned round to find a gigantic grizzly bear standing there.

The grizzly bear said "Admit it, Jon, you don't come here for the hunting, do you?"

NEWS ON THE HOMEFRONT (Therman's)

Thought I should do a little more on boomer. I have had a tough time with arthritis, and everything hurts. Walking , typing, ect. I am wondering when my "good karma" is going to kick in. I could whine for hours how much my life sucks right now. When they say that "laughter is the best medicine" they obviously have never tried Vicodin. LOL..so..I will try to lean more on humor. I would rather have a good belly laugh than weep over troubles. I am fast running out of happy though.... ever have times like that?

Feeling better

(from Therman to Geoff)

Hey dude,

I was watching the Stephen King movie DEAD ZONE with Christopher Walken in it, and there is this like 1980's Apple something computer in it.  I looked it up briefly, but failed to identify the make or model #.  Actually, it could have been an Amstad (sp) or similar European 8 bit whatever.  I loved being an early computer hobbyist, and miss all my old machines.  I had the Oddessy, Commodore Vic 20, Commodore 16, (6 month life span! lol) Commodore 64, Atari (three all the way up to 512 k) T. I.  With voice, And of course Tandy trs 80's.  From an ancient Model I, (2- 7 inch drives..the HUGE floppies ) to every model of the Coco made. ( 6 or 7 machines.) The one thing you had that I didn't, was an APPLE.
I asked you why the case was so damn big. I remember you opening it up and showing me the inside.  Everything could be plugged in there. Modems, sound cards..I thought that was the coolest thing I ever saw.  With the Coco, we had to build our own cases that did the same! (part of the hobbyist fun)

Ahhhh, Oh yeah..Can you find out for me what model of APPLE that was????  It's an O.C.D. thing with me..I will stop a movie and start rambling on about 80's computers and my kids or relatives will groan because I go on and on.  Hey..you know...so

WHAT THE HELL IS IT?  If you can dig up a LAZER turntable, then this is an easy one.

Therman.

(ps)
Windows 7 works great..machine works great. Couldn't be happier.

Update in Washington

Doing better.  The bitter cold snap is easing off.  A comfortable 60 degrees in the motorhome now.  Snowing lightly and a nice 32 outside.  My children were angry I didn't abandon and go stay with one of them.  I am as stubborn as I am fiercely independant.  No good news about my health.  My psoriasis is very bad..worst I think than has ever been. Went to the dermatologist today, and she was very alarmed.  Now wants me to start taking shots again. New medication. Humaris.. Had me do a lab, and x-rayed my chest. Checked my lymph nodes.  Worried I may have a type of lymphoma, (blood cancer) Could even explain low testosterone. Personally, I think all the doctors are at a loss. Everything that is wrong with me has them puzzled.  I am going in to get a TB test on Monday, also get flu shot and shingles shot.  I am so tired of trying to get healthy and resolved just to go one day at a time.
