One of my favorite things
Posted On 09/01/2009 04:39:09

I love the wonderful family pictures on here.  The candid off moments, or the obligatory 1st birthday pictures of children or grandchildren.  The march of time, watch the babies grow.  We are all time travelers.  I find comfort in knowing a little piece of me will continue as my dna makes it's way toward the stars and beyond.  Some day I hope a little bit of me will walk on Mars, or discover cures for humankind ills. Maybe singing songs or writing music for future people to enjoy as I have done now. If in the all and all this is my only purpose, I consider it an honor to have lived.

Anyway, thats how I feel.

The Dark Altar of Science
Posted On 09/01/2009 02:22:18

CHAPTER ONE

I had not known the day, hour and place of my imprisonment. Time and area mean nothing. It is as dark as any deep wood, or starless night of no moon. The damp, musty, cold stones of my dwelling were my only scents. The walls dripped of water, seeping in from the deep earth. The taste of which I had become accustomed to. It was all I had to soothe my thirst. The skittering of rodents legs or wormlike insects that crossed myself were the only things to staunch the hunger that burned like hot coals.
I could feel my face and body, and know of harms that the dark place I dwell in has done to me. It had calloused my legs and back as I sleep on the rough stone floor.
I feel as though I should have some knowledge of who put me here , or why I was thrust in this godless place. Like a dark mask tied tightly around my thoughts, memory was as much a prisoner as I.

I do have memory before this place.

I can see fields and fences, horses, working hard as they plowed and strained at farmers hands. Roadways that I walked, as the occasional motorcar smoked noisely by, scaring housewives and animals alike. The sight of inns and public houses, where small throngs of merrymakers could be heard. The beautiful recollection of the yellow light from candles and the warm orange glow of outside lanterns. Why It seems always to be cold, with breezes that smell of downed leaves, a forever fall, puzzles me still.
I believe myself learn-ed, a student at least, moving forth in the area of human science. I remember classes, (did I teach?) with eager faces and tables around some corpse or the occasional severed limb, displayed open and flayed with so many long pins holding them steady. Large jars of organs or the malformed foetus ( of sorry parentage), lined the walls. Books! Yes! Journals to consult of the spectical that lay before us, filled every space not occupied by some disturbing trophy of this horrible theatre. There were winding halls, heavily draped in curtains of deep velvet red. With all the ghastly remains, this could be the cathedral of some ordered, peverse, place of worship. I feel my feet fall heavily on floors of tiled marble, pushing doors of great weight, I leave this place, breathing in the sweet maple-like aire of autumn.

Now there is only darkness, with my hunger and thirst to read, like the journals of some damnable religion that I cannot dispel nor escape from.

Cut the chain of Cable TV
Posted On 08/30/2009 01:58:06

I just got high speed cable run to my motorhome.  It is about 57 bucks a month.  But no cable tv.  That may sound strange, but I did my homework on this. All I have is my lot space it incudes p/w/s .  I bought an 18 inch hi-def flat screen tv, back when Prez O. sent the tax credits out.(otherwise No Way!) I made sure that the tv had mutliple hook ups, (these new tvs are amazing, and cheap now) anyway..it doubles as my computer monitor.  I use my computer as my entertainment center.  With just the high speed cable, a netflix account, (15 bucks a month)  I have THOUSOUNDS of online movies, tv shows, documentaries, whatever I like, when I like. Cable tv is the biggest rip off and totally unnecessary.  Antisipating this move to Social Networking many new tv.s have a spot to just plug the cable modem in and have a built in browser.  I have a 75 watt 4.1  surround sound stereo system plugged into the sound card and the sound is amazing. ( less than 60 bucks!)  When I move again (I am on a list for subsidized house, I am disabled and on SSI) in about 3 years, I plan on getting a larger tv and keeping the same set up. If you have cable tv, dump it and turn you computer into your true window on the world.  I hope you don't mind, I am going to share this as a blog also.

Lauri Wisefield
Posted On 08/28/2009 09:09:50

In the 70's and 80's I listened to a band call WishBone Ash.  Very tasteful music.  About a month ago I posted a video that I had made of Lauri playing a song off of the dvd "Night of the Guitars" on youtube.  Today, HE POSTED A COMMENT.  I am very flattered.  The song isn't long.

Enjoy.

Just wondering.  It's a nice one.  Is there a time of day?  I like to attend chat parties.. you know, bird and brew.. kind of thing.. people relaxing at home and share what they are snacking on and just general get to know each other stuff..It's a change from sitting in front of the tube watching movies..  It can be a hoot..I usually stop making good sense after awhile and thats always fun for me! lol

Oh yeah!

The video is about the eruption of mount St. Helens in 1982.  That was an amazing and frightening sight.  We only got a small dusting of ash.  Other places it came down like a gritty, gray, hot snow storm.

I currently have a place I have been putting most of my poetry and videos.  If you would like to take a look.  I have many music video projects in the works from guitar work I did in the 80's.  I am a proffesional musician and play many different instruments.  I played for many years in the Seattle area.  Now mostly home recordings.  To get a feel of who I am and what I have been doing, please feel free to visit my homepage.
