Little stones
Sown in me are seeds of old In me I see the weeds have grown For me there is a better way To stay, where I can breath To find a me without the weeds
Should I watch and place a bet Should I roll the dice Hoping for the best, when they tumble Tumble round and round they go Random is as random does If I lose its still a show
Little stones laid in a row Written on them all we know The day of joy The day of woe All the books now are closed
What is life but so much sand This one less, this one more It all ends up on the floor With a swoosh the broom makes room Try and hold it in your hand
I am here, there is a me So, what then does all this mean That while the sand runs through my hands I have the chance to sing and dance I can choose to leave the weeds Or I can make a place of peace
Little stones laid in a row Written on them all we know The day of joy The day of woe All the books now are closed

Living in Sububia
It is hard living in suburbia amongst the dead Even rows of headstones all along the street Each one Marking a family's final resting place Each one manicured and sterile in silent homage To the dead
Modern life, what an oxymoron Conditioned Air, Conditioned Water, Conditioned Lawns Conditioned Hair fit right in with our Conditioned Minds
The dead have a code Dress Code, Neighborhood code, Behavior Code You can wear shorts, but they can't be cutoffs You can grow you hair long, but not your grass Violate the code and the zombies will know They can smell an original thought They can hear a rebellious action
The zombies are the guardians of the cemetery Living is acceptable, but you can't be alive In the presence of life, the silent alarm Floating on the air calls to them. The guardians gather to consume life Leaving behind the living dead
It is hard living in suburbia amongst the dead

And Love Makes No Reply
Gliding, flying, slipping, sliding Through the air, through the air Desire burning Passion pounding In my ears, in my ears
Surging, merging, Whispers urging Through the fear, through the fear Reason losing All consuming Of my soul, of my soul
Living, laughing, crying, dying Through the fire, through the fire Lights exploding Love is flowing All around, all around
And in our presence Tomorrow's retreat Starts time complaining And love makes no reply

Smokin' Hot
On my way to nowhere Getting there real fast I came upon a woman I think she had a flat She was standing on the roadside Looking for a ride Catching a glimpse of her legs I thought I would oblige
She had legs that came from hell That stopped at heaven's gate An angel she was not You could see it in her face She was Smokin' Smokin' Hot She was nowhere near an angel She was Smokin' Smokin' Hot
Well I asked was she lookin' Lookin' for a ride I told her I was willing She looked me in the eyes Just how willing are you? She asked me with a smile How about before we go I take you for a ride?
She had legs that came from hell That stopped at heaven's gate An angel she was not You could see it in her face She was Smokin' Smokin' Hot She was nowhere near an angel She was Smokin' Smokin' Hot
She leaned across the seat And with a little smile Her fingers stroked my hand They burned like liquid fire My head began to spin There was nothing I could do My flesh she took to heaven The rest she dragged to hell
She had legs that came from hell That stopped at heaven's gate An angel she was not You could see it in her face She was Smokin' Smokin' Hot She was nowhere near an angel She was Smokin' Smokin' Hot
After we were finished I Suddenly felt cold As I watched her walk away And take with her my soul You can think that I'm demented Still I think that it is true I swear to you I'm branded Branded on my ... Ask me And I will tell you Tell you she was Smokin' Smokin' Hot
She had legs that came from hell That stopped at heaven's gate An angel she was not You could see it in her face She was Smokin' Smokin' Hot She was nowhere near an angel She was Smokin' Smokin' Hot I'm sure she had some horns Maybe a tail too She could wrap around you like a snake Do things that defied gravity yep that is right She was Smokin' Smokin' Hot She was nowhere near an angel She was Smokin' Smokin' Hot

Lullaby
Remember when you were young The world just made sense Because We did not know We did not know About the curtain Or Of the hidden All was open All was bright There was mystery Dreams took flight
Do you think of getting old Will our lives make sense In the end In the end Will we know Will we know Enough Enough About the curtain Can we rest in truth we learn Or will the future be uncertain
Close your eyes And sing good bye Sing to me a lullaby Softly Softly Shed a tear Surely there's a lesson here What's the purpose of it all Are we born just to fall
Life is just a carnival ride Horses, Elephants, giraffes, and more Up and down we all go Round and round nobody knows We are up and they are down At the top we look around Now we see the big brass ring Down we go it's out of reach! Life is just the dice we roll There's no reason, Just a rhyme
Close your eyes And sing good bye Sing to me a lullaby Softly Softly Don't be late Why is life so full of hate What's the purpose of it all Are we born just to fall
Remember when we were young The world just made sense Because We did not know We did not know That Life just is We just lived There's no reason Just a rhyme You find it in a lullaby

Little monkey with a brain with a brain that is insane that is insane to think I am I am because I think
I think I am I am the king the king of all I see of all I see I use and waste waste is all about me

Searching
My words when they fall upon my ear Have jagged edges and glaring sound I wish that I could see the light And spend my days And find some praise And turn a phrase that doesn't pound A perfect phrase when it is raised Does not offend the ear Its gentle way Its subtle play Can bring a fleeting tear I could make my life long journey Contain a single task To find a perfect sounding phrase And with no remorse having set this course My days would have no lack You could search in hidden places The earth, its moon, and universe Look inside of people's faces And still not find a perfect verse A perfect phrase A perfect verse A perfect Human Being They exist in of all of us So why do we keep looking There's nothing wrong with how we search We really are so thorough The problem isn't where we look It's how we do the seeing

A Lover's Smile
What mystery Is deeper than The curve that can be found As you trace a single finger Across your lover's thigh
What poetry is more profound To touch you in your soul As your lips brush along soft skin And brings a lover's sigh
What morning sun Brings more glory For eyes to drink in deep Than when you turn around in bed And see your lover smile

A Truth So Clearly
Have you ever seen a truth so clearly You knew it must be right I have owned so very many But lost them in the night
Darkness comes to claim the weary It comes in many forms I have felt its ugly presence At times I have been torn
Just a little sip of water Is all the dying needs Send them onward to their journey They've fallen to their knees
Have you ever met life's author His story has been told Everybody has a version Its getting really old
Have you ever seen a truth so clearly And found it to be wrong I have owned so very many But lost them in the dawn
Have you clutched a truth so dearly You squeezed its life away I have killed so very many I wish that they had stayed
