Death makes its laugh
Whirl above my head In sleep there is Night shade come for Death makes me sing Makes me cling to Its soft silk sheet Light no more mine Laugh heard as echos

Windmills in my mind
Have you ever noticed, or do you even care All the little pieces That go flying through the air All of them a jumble, whirling as if snow Tumbling and rumbling through my mind they go
Where am I to wander, or should I stay at home No matter where I stand My mind just tends to roam Dancing with the windmills, spinning to a tune Sunny sparkles leap and twirl sticking just like glue
How has this just happened, I'm wearing windmill shoes Little tiny windmills That pull me too the moon Hey I just saw Elvis do a bump and grind Damn I must be crazy there's windmills in my mind
This is a delema, I'm having such a time Does it really happen It really is sublime Hell I lost my eyes, now isn't that just grand But now I see the windmills playing in the sand
Now I want to stay here, among the windmills stand Do you think they'll let me Build castles in the sand Please don't make me go, I'm having such a time A thousand little windmills dancing in a line
A thousand little windmills dancing in a line Damn I must be crazy there's windmills in my mind

Have you ever seen them, all the empty people in-side Have you ever seen them, all the emptiness in their eyes Have you ever seen them, pretending that they are a-live Have you ever seen them, pretending they are not a lie
Grievous wolves among the sheep Raking with their claws Ravenous howlings in their eyes Hunger can't be absolved Fangs they sink in velvet necks Sucking life with greed With an icy hand they smooth the brow of their victims as they feed
Have you ever seen them, all the empty people in-side Have you ever seen them, all the emptiness that they hide Have you ever seen them, pretending that they are a-live Have you ever seen them, pretending they have not yet died
With eyes that swim in frothy blood Striking left and right They lay their hands on young and old Bones breaking with their might ragged strips of flesh they tear hatred makes them bold On living souls they gorge themselves Down their rancid maw they go
Have you ever seen them....

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/40975400/ns/world_news-mideast/n_africa/4... The above link is to a story about an Iraqi cleric who has returned from self imposed exile in Iran. This Shiite cleric is anti-American and anti-Sunni, and was forced to hide when accused of killing another cleric. Now he is back, he is a key part of the government coalition, and he is threatening to continue to attach American troops. Sunni and Shiite sects of the Islam religion hate each other. One of Iraq's continuing challenges is that they have significant populations of both who must share political power. You see unlike the US where politics and religion, for the most part, are separate issues (Although there are those who would like to change that) in the Mid-East religion IS politics. So, why is this such a problem? Iraq and Iran have fought many battles. There is a history of animosity both national and religious (remember religion is politics). Right now in Iraq, while there may not be many US friends, there is, at least, a significant population of those willing to support the US. There is no US support in Iran. If, after the US departs Iraq, Iran were to begin an offensive Iraq would have a difficult time defending against it. Also, that offensive does not have to be a direct military attack. They can use this cleric to subvert Iraq's political process, or they can use him as a militant and foment revolution. Regardless, this man's return (notice that there is no mention of the previous charges of murder) is a signal that Iran has taken a hand where Iraq is concerned, adding to the pressure of instability in the world. Other things going on in the world? Well there is North and South Korea. China's increasing military technological might,. The Sudan separatists. European Anarchists bombings. The Afghan war. Political instability in its neighbor Pakistan. The Ivory Coast where the losing presidential candidate won't give up power to the winner. A politically divided and financially wounded US. EU debt crisis. A rise in domestic terrorism. Oh, and let's not forget a little thing called al-Qaeda
Can you hear it? Shhh shhh shhhh shhhh the sound of the pressure cooker building steam. Let's hope the heat gets turned down before the cooker blows!

Sea Song
There was a young urchin went down to the sea, to see what he could see of the sea And while this young urchin was down at the sea, he saw a sea urchin walk out of the sea To his amazement the urchin did sing, come along with me and be all you can be Besides the amazement the urchin could sing, His song he sang in a perfect sharp C
There was a young maiden went down to the sea To see if her love could be seen at the sea and while this young maiden was down at the sea A sailfish sailed by in a sailboat you see She could not believe for the sailfish did sing come along with me and be all you can be besides the amazement the sailfish could sing He sang while playing guitar with no strings
There was a poor poet went down to the sea, To see if his muse he could find at the sea and while this poor poet was down at the sea He saw neither urchin nor sailfish you see This poet is poor and always will be Can you see why that is even down by the sea The sea is just sea nothing more does he see He will never be more than he seems to be seen
See, don't just look, be all you can be.
