The Last Leaf
She sits by my grave and waits The last leaf has not yet fallen She knows that I am here, me, waiting We have united in blood, she has tasted me I am in her and she in me, waiting The last leaf has not yet fallen, waiting Waiting for me to awake and join her until the last leaf does fall

Eternity
Looking into the mirror I now live forever My cold image reflects off into the void and there I now live
Yelling into the canyon my voice speaks forever Its echos bouncing off into the void and there are my screams
Flying off into the void I now sleep forever My spirit spreads eternally into the void and among the images and screams I now rest

Love Transcends
The stroke that laid him to the floor Did not come from steel A rebellion deep with in him Broke the kings scepter
Still I love him for what he was And deep inside what he is
With mumbling voice he commands With regal spirit But Those that know not his kingdom With laughter mock him
Still I love him for what he was And deep inside what he is
He died that day the stroke did fall But not his spirit It lived on for years to come One day it left him
Still I love him for what he was And deep inside what he is

Loving me darkly
Love's a knife that's freely given Pain is proof of life In the hand so soft and gentle Let me fill your cup Cutting quick look deep inside me Know me to be true If love is real then pain abides Never to accuse How can love be so unproven And considered real Cut me now and know love truly Proven by my steel

A Funny Little Creature
One night while sleeping soundly, it doesn't happen often I was nudged awake, from a dream, I think her hair was auburn I rubbed away silky skin, and crystal peals of laughter And looked around for who was there, reaching for my glasses
Seeing nothing round about, I settle on my pillow But all the time I tried to sleep, I heard a silent whisper There seemed to be a nagging truth, one I had forgotten It hung upon the night time air, the scent of it was cloying
Now there was no chance of, returning to my lady I lay there in the night time, and listened to the whispers As I listened closely, I felt a little shiver With a shock like lightning, I felt a little nibble
Hands clawing at my ear, I felt something quite sticky Clutching in my fingers, I guess I tried to kill it As I squeezed more tightly, it simply slipped away Turning on the light, it stared at me intently
It had a thousand mouths, but only one could open Eyes it had a plenty, none of them in focus Its body seem amorphous, always changing shape It had a single ear to hear, whatever might be spoken
With a sudden jump, it landed near my ear Before I even yelped, it pierced me like a spear Then I heard the whisper, softly telling secrets Even though I listened, it seemed they contradicted
In my mind a picture, of this funny creature Each secret that it told, demanded a new picture With each change of aspect, it used a different mouth I tried so hard to get the gist, of this conversation
Giving up the struggle, I lay back on my pillow Feeling its importance, still I could not follow Feeling my confusion, begin to swirl around With all the contradictions, which one of them was sound
All the pictures whirling, I listened in the silence A truth became apparent, when added to the balance Each secret that it told, matched its changing picture The story all the same, it was a matter of perspective

She
Like a soft gentle rain on a warm spring day she covers me Pearly drips of passion fall and join together A downy blanket on a cold winter night She covers me Soft warm folds of passion that comfort Ocean waves that quickly swell Ocean waves that dance and play Ocean waves that crash like thunder She covers me Hot summer sun that soaks into my soul She covers me A warm bath after a long day of work She covers me Sudden laughter breaking a frozen sadness She covers me And while I sleep in unending silence Quiet, darkness, stillness, eternally I am not left alone She covers me

The Tyrant
Sitting on a throne alone he is the one Feet with wings to fly beyond Our ability to reach
With his scepter he commands the universe Dancing to a tune and verse He has written and he sings
In robes he looks so kindly on his subjects Dancing as if they respect His melancholy singing
Each with hands stuffed in their ears still dancing Whited eyes wide and rolling Fear that drips to his delight
A tyrant's grin His face alight All his captives Know his might
An old man with no clocks Ask him the year, the month, the day He shrugs
Putting his feet up on the rail The soles of his bare feet are Soft and white

Divide the Waters
Strike deep, love is not lukewarm Neither then is the hate Passion should be hot or cold Why bother?
Run me through don't just wound me Would you see me suffer Does hate run so deep as that Have mercy
Is there pleasure in my pain Does that somehow repay Did I somehow steal what you Gave freely
Did we not share love's waters Mixing them together One plus one when added right Still is one
Strike our love now hard and fast You pierce not me but us Your blade divides the water Now made two

A Freeze Dried World
It is a freeze dried world and a cold hearted hell Just add water for a steaming cup of brew Drink it down quickly now, there's another cup waiting Waiting in the car for McFriends with McHoney
Just add water for a steaming cup of brew Money buys everything get a heart for a bargain Waiting in the car for McFriends with McHoney Don't worry if it breaks you can always get another
Money buys everything get a heart for a bargain Mass production lines stamping out hearts by the dozens Don't worry if it breaks you can always get another Hearts come with little knives for emergency use
Mass production lines stamping out hearts by the dozens Drink it down quickly now, there's another cup waiting Hearts come with little knives for emergency use It is a freeze dried world and a cold hearted hell
