Good Morning Sis. Pam, it was 95 yesterday and warm to say the least. They say 83 today and that will be a nice change. I heard the Hwy 36 sale from Chesnire to Mapleton 65 miles was great and lots of things were sold. It was Friday and Saturday, and I guess they had food also. Sat the local catholic Church fellowship hall sale I found and super nice wqatch for 10 dollars. All I had to get was a battery for it. Have a blesse rest of the day. Bro. Doc
Last week, the City of Fate started replacing the drain pipe that goes under our street. About 5 years ago, they replaced the part that was from the street in the right-of-way between our house and the neighbors house.
Part of the old worn out drain had started caving in and it became dangerous. Now they are waiting for the cement people next Monday and hopefully it will get completed next week. In the meantime, Livvy got to play on the piece of drain pipe they didn't use and she even got her little shovel and helped fill in some dirt they left.
Yesterday we worked outside for almost 4 hours in the morning. I trimmed the trees in the backyard and now we can walk under them without ducking. Rbt was using a hedge trimmer on the yaupons in the front. When he sat to drink water, I did some of the yaupon. Then when he started again, I trimmed on a tree or 2 in the front. Then we still had to pick up and clean up all the branches. But everything turned out good.
I would much rather work outside in our yard than in the house or go to a gym for exercise and my daily steps. We have always had lots of trees in our yards and love trimming them. We were dripping wet when we finished!
Last week, my grandson and his family got tickets to a tour at Wallbuilders. Will was homeschooled until his sophomore year and his books came from here. He got his love of history from Wallbuilders and they had so much fun on the tour.
As you can see there were so many different things they got to see on the tour. Will has owned the Founders' Bible for many years, but his Dad bought his own copy of it in leather. I highly recommend if you have kids or grandkids checking out the education section at the top of the link below. Here is the link to the Bible.
Another steam bath today..possible storms..nothing fell yesterday. So I watered everything this morning. Got the feeders replenished in front yard. The ones on kitchen window I can't reach, so will get hubby to fill them up this evening. Back to the chiropractor in the morning. Knock on wood, my hip has not bothering me. I'm guessing the collagen supplements are helping. I'm taking 2 a day now. I'm sure he will have to adjust my right leg again.it a bit shorter than the left one. How's things your way today? Jellybean just came in and is watching me here at the kitchen table. He'll be ready for an afternoon nap shortly. Enjoy the 1st day of July -:)
Here's some of the lightening from last week, this pic was in a coastal community about 50 miles away. We are having daily thunderstorms now and had a flash flood yesterday.
LOL sorry about that Pam! They are already putting fall and Christmas stuff out at Hobby Lobby!
yes we got rain last night! right before 10 it was raining hard, and this morning I went to our rain gauge, saw it had an inch of rain in it!! We won't have to water the backyard plants today!!!
