Good Late Afternoon Sis. Pam, when I just did 6 windows it was 6,800 dollars and if you paid for those it was tons of money. What kind of windows did you put in? Nothing is cheap anymore. You will find your home warmer in winter and cooler in summer. Take care and have a great Wednesday. Bro. Doc
Good Morning this Tuesday! Our project is over. We have wonderful neighbors that shared their son's side business with us. Viewpoint Exteriors put in new windows for us. The deal was too good to pass up.
These two young men changed out our 18 windows in a day and a half. They were very considerate of our dogs and us. They cleaned before, during and after the installation of each window.
The reason it was a huge project for us is that we had to remove the blinds from each of the windows and that also meant moving furniture away from in front of each window so they had room to work.
Yes, we pushed & pulled most of the furniture in the house around before they got there and we also climbed on ladders and carried heavy (to us they were heavy) blinds out of the house.
Rbt was talking to Branden as he was caulking the windows and noticed that he would smear the caulk off his fingers onto the window. My hubby thought this nice young man had lost his mind. Then he realized the film hadn't been removed yet.
The end results were well worth the days of preparation it took us and the days after to get furniture inside and plants outside put back in place. But our bodies may not agree with that quite yet. More to come tomorrow.
Hi Pam! yes, I am, today was the 1st day I actually went out since I got it...after I got home, I found out I was using it on the wrong side. I was supposed to be using it opposite of the injured knee... I do have an appt with Dr Grace Reynolds on Nov 25th...she comes to Weatherford once a week, so I don't have to go to Ft Worth. I feel like she's going to be the one to actually help me, my late mother-n-law was named Grace.
Good afternoon to you. Its a lovely Tuesday here. The sun is shining and it 68F here. The mornings are rather cool but it looks like next week is going to be cold. I'm not a fan of that but I knew it was going to happen. I have been very busy since Sunday. Not only did I do laundry and dishes I also vacummed out my car and dusted the dash. I was so sore Sunday evening from doing that. We have a funeral to go to on Friday. Its out of town. Takes 3 hours one way. So I won't be on here Friday. Well take care my friend and enjoy the rest of your day.
Know y'all are glad that project is over with. We've been churning away here with the front room. The contractor is coming by tonight to put trim work down around the floor at bottom. Thrn we get to FINALLY start moving office stuff in the room hopefully this weekend. Our goal is to start prepping the den in a few weeks. I think we've found someone who can do the painting in den. We have 7 windows in our tiny home. Three have been replaced over the years. When we get started on the den, everything will have to go outside in building. But since David's off the end of December (beginning Dec 19) we should have plenty of time to make a dent in all. I'm looking forward in having a larger den. Will take all the pictures off wall, as once we rearrange everything in there, the pictures will need to be rearranged..all in good time. Hope y'all are getting rest
