Cyndi - Yes, I use to go to fairs, but only county fairs. Have never been to a World's Fair. When I was a kid I use to go for the rides and later as a adult, I went for the good food. I also remember getting cotton candy too, but it's so sweet. Haven't been to a fair in several years because I can't handle all the walking involved. I too think autumn should start in August. This way we would have a longer time to enjoy everything fall has to offer. If I could arrange the months to avoid having summer, I would choose 8 months of fall, 2 months of winter and 2 months of spring. How would you arrange the months to skip summer? What a miserable day., heavy rains flood warnings., i stayed in did laundry.,made a boiled dinner for supper tonight., plus made spiced oatmeal cookies., my son will be by after work. Happy new week., hope your day is better.
Have a great week. Time to get in those last summer adventures. Did you like going to fairs? Even though I was only 3, I remember the New York World's Fair. My dad was stationed at the Naval Reserve Center Long Island at the time. Disney's 'It's A Small World' ride looms large in my memories. I still have pics of my family sitting at the fountain surrounding the Unisphere.
Hello Alice, love your pink page! Yes I love going to fairs. THe local one here is not till early November as it's finally cooled off some by then. I enjoy the animals, farm exhibits and such, and of course the food! Have a good new week.
