You're very welcome Rick, I also saw where they like all kinds of nuts, as long as they are plain, and even dried corn!! I see bags of dried corn cobs for sell, but they are kind of expensive, it would be cheaper to buy a few fresh corn on the cobs, and dry them out yourself, cut in half and put one cob out every few days. Also, did you know they'll eat cereal, (not sugar coated), dog and cat food?? LOL sounds like a raccoon!

Deb i am glad you did that and let me know.
Who would of thoght that salted peanuts would be bad for them little fellas
Well they will have to get used to unsalted nuts.
I would have never of known that.
There is a lady at my walgreens store who also feeds the squirrels and i will make sure i let her know about that .
Thank you for the information.
I do have some celery ill have to cut up a few small pieces and test it .
I had googled what kind of peanuts were OK for squirrels, according to the "Love the Garden" website, this is what was said:
Squirrels are quite happy to eat nuts with or without the shell, indeed it’s the process of extracting a nut from its shell gives the squirrel exercise and a way of sharpening its teeth. It is worth noting that peanuts are nutritionally poor for squirrels and salted peanuts should always be avoided.

You should hear them the bigger birds they are squawking loud. Its like they are all arguing
.At least they dont go digging holes just to bury a peanut.

.They keep coming to check or to look for the small crumbs
.Tomorrow ill go get more .

Hi Ric. Hope your weekend is going well so far. Gee whiz isn’t the year flying by. Half the year almost gone. So much craziness happening in this world. It’s a long holiday weekend here with Monday being a public holiday celebrating the King’s Birthday. We have had the best rain in the past 3 days for more than 9 months. At first it was just light showers then yesterday afternoon it poured down and since then several good follow up showers. Just what we needed. Hope it continues. God bless and take care. Pat.
