Got more rain last night/today. August has started out as a wet month. Probably see 90 by end of week. The birds are looking for their feeders to be replenished. I miss seeing them at kitchen window. We have 3 feeders there. Back to the store tomorrow..haircut on Wed..as school starts too on this day..where did the long summer break go for the kids? I know they're prob not looking forward in the school bell ringing again. Enjoy your week -:)
Hi Ric. Nice Autumn page you have there:). Hope you got to Walgreens and also paid those bills. It’s that time of the year here too when all the utility bills are due including the District Council Rates. I pay all mine online now. It’s much more convenient for me now.
How did the Street Party go? I’d be staying indoors as I’m not one for crowds. I guess it’s one way for neighbours to catch up. It must be quite a show to last a full day.
Our days have become longer as the sun doesn’t set until after 5.pm. The temps can still be rather cool. I guess you are noticing signs of fall with the leaves beginning to change colour. Have a nice day Ric. God bless Pat.
LOL some people will have a party no matter what!! Maybe it'll be good later this evening, and the neighbors will show up then? When we lived in Florida, one of the neighbors did a get together they called "drinking in the driveway"...LOL It was fun to go to, you brought what you wanted to drink, some people brought beer, mixed drinks, tea or soda etc, and a chair..they would have finger foods to snack on..we usually brought something like that to add to theirs, pretty soon, more neighbors would add their "speciality" to the fingerfoods (chips, popcorn, brownines, snacks)..... we had our chairs set up around their driveway, food woud be set up on a folding table in the opened garage, people would come and stay a little while then leave, so it was like a "come and go" party! It was a fun way to visit with each other. They would do that every Friday evening, through the late summer and fall, they would hang a "TIKI TIME" flag out on a little pole in their front yard so everyone could see it, and know "drinking in the driveway" would be happening, if no flag, no get together for that week. Sometimes they would't feel up to it.. The man died unexpectally 2 months before we moved back to Texas, so that ended the "drinking in the driveway" get togethers.
