Looks like rain moves in tomorrow night. Then a brief cool down...just in time for Thanksgiving. Mid 50's for a few days. Keep hearing we won't see any significant cold weather till Jan/Feb. Time will tell.
Hi Rick! no we haven't been flooded out, almost got it from the back to back hurricanes when we lived in Florida...the big metal fence stopped the flood waters two houses away from ours, the other 7 that lined our street did get flooded after the waters took out all that part of the fence...that's one of the reasons why I wanted to come back to this part of Texas, also because I'm older and it was getting so hard to keep flying back to visit my family here. I was so nervous during hurriane season, June thru Nov.
I am so looking forward to seeing the doctor for my knee tomorrow! it's at 9 a.m. so I'll be leaving out of here around 8:30, the doctor comes over from Ft Worth once or twice a week, not sure but everything I read about her, makes me feel confident that SHE will be able to really help me.

Hi Rick! we had storms (LOUD thunder, lots of lighting too)since 2:30 this morning & got 2" of rain, looks like we won't be getting any more for a while... I hope you have a wonderful day my friend.
Hello Rick - I won't be going to Applebees on Thursday because they're closed.. Most restaurants are closed that day - only a few are doing a Thanksgiving dinner with all the fixings.. Even Walmart is closed as are many other stores.. I guess it's a more important holiday than it's given credit for.. The only places that are doing a special turkey meal that day are Cracker Barrel and Bob Evans.. Better get to your stores by Wednesday, because your Walgreens and other stores are closed Thursday.. Banks and post office are closed too
Hi Rick! we enjoyed an early thanksgiving meal at my daughter's and son-n-laws house yesterday. we had a whole fried turkey and a smoked turkey breast, it had some kind of jalapeno sauce over it, but it wasn't hot or spicy, both were really good, and of course, lots of sides to choose from, green bean casserole, sweet potatoe casserole, homemade dressing, cranberry sauce and rolls...for dessert, a chosing of apple, and pumpkin pie, and pumpkin cheesecake bars...that's what we all ended up eating for dessert, the cheesecake bars, they were soo good! we just stayed a couple of hours, had a great visit with my grandson and his girlfriend. Had to drive home on country roads in the dark...LOL that part was scary, watching out for deer.. we did bring home a plate for today...so we're set....oink oink... I mean.. gobble til we wobble...LOL!
I use to drink Dunkin Dounuts coffee exclusively. My favorite is McCafe (McDonalds) breakfast blend. On occasion, I'll buy Cameron (brand) and Tim Hortons (instant)..sometimes I will do instant, my coffee maker is a 1-cup maker.
