Catherine Annette Hanshaw was an American Jazz Age singer. She was one of the most popular radio stars of the late 1920s and early 1930s, with many of her most notable performances taking place on NBC's Maxwell House Show Boat. Over four million of her records had been sold by 1934, following the peak of her popularity.
In her ten-year recording career, she recorded about 250 sides. In a 1934 poll conducted by Radio Stars magazine, she received the title of best female popular singer. Second place went to Ethel Shutta, third place went to Ruth Etting, and fourth place went to Kate Smith
I have a feral cat, Jellybean. He stays inside at night when it's wet or cold. And every morning between 3:30 and 5:00, he decides it's time to go outside and play. Usually I have no problem going back to sleep. I'll most likely sleep late tomorrow.
A damp, cold, rainy day..been a fast week. Woke up at 330 am..never went back to sleep. Been a long day here. The birds have been feeding at the kitchen window. Saw a male and female cardinal yesterday. I named them Clara and Donovan. Will need to fill the feeders up by the weekend. Hope all is good your way -:)
Hi Rick! after a 4 hr delay yesterday, I finally got my knee surgery done, during my waiting time, my IV failed, not once but twice, the 3rd try, kept, and lasted through the surgery. Recovery wasn't as smooth as I thought it would be, I vomited 3 times..finially I was allowed to go home, an hour drive, through constructiion and stop and go traffic, gave me car sickness, and all that I went though kept me nausious well into the night, however, I did get a little bit good night's sleep! The reason for the delay was the patient before me, his hip replacement took longer because of the very bad shape his hips were in... my surgeon took her time to make sure he was well taken care of and not rushed though...she did the same with me...Her first name is Grace...which fits her character so well.. I made me a scrambled egg this morning, first meal I've eaten since 5 :15 Tuesday evening...now hoping it doesn't upset my tummy... So sorry this is long, maybe it's too much info...LOL have a wonderful day my friend!
