Inside of Me
These eyes that welcome the morning sun, looking forward to the day ahead can't mask or contain the emotions within; sometimes happy, sometimes sad, so many feelings inside.
For my eyes are the mirror of my feelings inside, emotions that can leave me quite spent, tears welling up and spilling over, tears of sadness, tears of joy.
And at those times when I just can't contain those feelings inside, the happy and the sad, I remember those things that I love to do best, and step out of myself once again and find me, my best friend, and we go for a walk, my best friend and me.
We find a quiet spot, at the edge of the pond watching the ducks and the leaves as they fall. And we reflect on the day, and I write the words down, all I wanted to say.
And in those moments all the opposites inside, the emotions that conflicted and tugged at my heart, resolve themselves in the words on the page; and I put them away for safekeeping, embracing each one the happy, the sad, my emotions all.

Topic: "Going For It"
Bonus points:
(Hard, 2 pts): include "playing with a rabbit (or b00nie)" (Easy, 1 pt): use a word in German (not the phrase "in German")
ONE LUCKY RABBIT
And what to my wondering (and wandering) eyes should I see on this sign in front of me, this word that I knew absolutely nothing about?
"Catawampus", it said, and it made no sense to me, wondering, as I was, just what it might be.
"We're GOING FOR IT," I shouted, and they jumped up and down with glee as we headed down the path to what we might see.
We couldn't imagine, we had no idea just what it could be but we were going to find out (soon enough).
And then we finally saw it, as big as it was, but still didn't know just quite what it was. But, sure enough, we finally figured it out as we saw all the happy children (and their parents as well) playing with a rabbit right there on the lawn, a giant Easter Bunny almost as big as a house, the most enormous rabbit that we ever did see.
And the tale, it is true, I do kid you not, the tale of the rabbit "Catawampus" playing on the lawn, and one lucky rabbit that won't become dinner, Hasenpfeffer (rabbit stew).

UPON BREEZES OF SPRING
My spirit soars upon sweet breezes of spring, lifted up with my kite on the end of a string. To the highest clouds we soar together, my kite and me, stopping to rest for a moment there, though my heart is tethered still to reality's ground beneath my feet.
And from that very special place, so lifted up by winds so gentle there, I see what I could never see before, as clearly now the world below stretches as far as my imagination allows, no limits, no boundaries keeping me from imagining all there is to see of this world, so much bigger than before, a whole new world in front of me to imagine, to explore, to spread my wings and think of more than a million things that I just never thought about before.
And so on this breezy afternoon in the Spring, I hear my name in the sound of the wind and I soar on breezes, my imagination delights and I travel the world with my adventurous kite.

Moonbeam Dreaming
Moonbeam magic, stars in the sky, dreams of the night on angels' wings.
Closing my eyes, drifting to sleep, moonbeams to guide my steps of night.
Dreaming my way from setting sun to morn's first light with moonbeams bright.
As I arrive to greet the dawn, thankful once more for this new day.

Flights of Fancy (or Fanciful Flights)
How much I delight in every day, flights of fancy, fanciful flights in boxes tall, this stack of boxes in front of me, full of gems and surprises, each and every one opening one after the other as they're sitting there.
And as I open them one at a time, the treasures I find inside every one, fine books, their pages well-traveled and worn, their covers inviting me to places beyond where I am from those pages as I stop a while to read, transported beyond, to places far away on wings of butterflies imagined there.
And for just a few moments I dance upon afternoon breezes of yesterday, my imagination soaring so close to the sun; for just those few moments lifted out of myself, forgetting where I am as I linger there on this Sunday afternoon before I put those boxes away and these fanciful dreams of yesterday.

 Renewed
The first light of dawn welcomes my heart, with this new day beginning to unfold and yesterday's special moments already gathered up and tucked away in those special places deep within and reserved for the most precious ones.
Yesterday is a smile to cherish; it is a warm place in my heart; it is a polished gem gently resting among the treasures of my heart.
And today is a new beginning, a first step toward tomorrow, a day for sweet reflection upon what is now a memory handled with the greatest of care; a day for joyous anticipation of what comes with each new day.
With yesterday behind me and today unfolding in front of me, I meet time right where we are and look forward to a fresh start on this day.
And I can't help but be thankful for each new moment.

Winter Brilliant
Crystalline white and blue iced magic etched within the translucence of memory and imagination, brilliant brush strokes, bold and bright as they dance across this winter canvas. Snow-capped mountains meet Heaven's gate as I can only imagine what lies beyond.
And I consider the scene, bells of golden heralding the moment, trees of forest green, their rainbowed lights and Christmas bows; Hanukkah blue and white as I'm reminded of the true meaning of this special season.
And on this quiet afternoon under a California blue sky the roses of winter are silent, their radiant blooms of golden and orange resting until spring as I watch the sun filtering through the magnolias as they begin to display their radiant mantle of winter pink and white.

My Steps Leading Me
I must follow my footsteps and go where they lead, as a mind of their own it appears they do have. And I follow them often not knowing quite why or where they will lead from the time that the sun begins to greet me at dawn; I must follow my footsteps wherever they lead me.
But I follow them eagerly from here to wherever, back again and around to destinations unknown. And as I consider each one on the list, the mountains, the beaches, whatever it is, I never know quite what to expect when I get there so am always surprised and delightfully so at what I find there along the byways of my day.
So I stop very often and take it all in. I can hardly wait 'till tomorrow to do it all over again.
