This week's BFF #75 Inspiration:
"Black Friday Sales"
**********************

Another Chance (To Beat the Lines)
No shopping done, my sanity spared, so glad "Black Friday" has come and gone. No standing in line, no tempers flared, no aggravation, not from me.
For I waited 'till the very next day, time enough to shop for me. Still the deals, so many out there, and all the folks who Friday shopped were all shopped out, it seems, and home in bed.
No need to worry about those deals I happily missed on that blackest of shopping days, for there's yet another day when my cash and I can go out and play, and that's today, and a much easier way, shopping on-line.
It's Cyber-Monday!
Hooray!

Through Eyes That See
Would that I might always see through the eyes of the inner child that is me, through eyes that see what things are like before time and life and all that blurs and confuses and gets in the way.
Would that I might always see through eyes that see rainbows and sunny days and blue skies after storms; through eyes that see dreams that come true and peace and joy that was before the world became so very off center and askew.
Would that I might recapture just a bit of that, my inner child that was me before life began to get in the way and completely obscure the view I had through the eyes of the inner child that was me.

 Singing a New Song
Stark white the page in front of me, empty spaces begging for words and company; words tumbling about in these corners of thought, mazes of ideas searching for direction, fumbling for expression.
And a melody begins to find its way, slipping quietly into the chambers of my heart, images knocking upon the windows of my imagination, the words beginning to flow from a place deep within, hidden away and secret still.
Flowing slowly at first, the words finally sing a new song as they dance across the once empty page, bringing a smile to my heart and expression to my soul.

Sunshined
Summer breezes caressing my weary soul Under tranquil paradise blue skies, Nowhere would I rather be than Singing and dancing under swaying palms, Happiness chasing away sadness; In an instant transformed as Night is to Day and Enlightened by the glow of the sun.

Flames' Dance
Flames etched against the blackness of midnight, crackling and sparkling, syncopated rhythms and frenzied movements as they dance wildly around the intensity of the moment punctuating the silence of a moonless night with their passion and into the night they spin, they twirl, they sing, they shout, they release.
And with the approach of dawn and morning's light, they sleep and they dream of a magical midnight hour and flames etched forever against a blackened sky.

Out of the Darkness
By Barbara
A Cheryl's Pals Collab
Darkness begins to infuse my soul, the sun beginning to dance upon the edge of the day and slowly sinking into the horizon on the way toward tomorrow's first light. But I have nothing to fear. I don't fear the dark nor the night as listening to the whispering trees, the moon's glow bathing my senses I dance in the rain, crystal tears releasing feelings deep within the dark. And I hear you calling my name in the sweet whispers of the soft breezes, the melody flowing through the soft and caressing rain.
And as our footsteps lead to today's tomorrow, I hear Destiny's sweet refrain, a muted whisper breaking the silence of darkness as a symphonic splash of color welcomes the dawn. And as the dawn approaches I look forward to the day feeling free and at ease with what is coming our way as Nature sings away our fears.

Toward Peaceful
On those days when I look around and the peace I've been seeking completely eludes me, I retrace my steps to my yesterdays and find those places once again that calm my spirit and quiet my restless heart for at least a little while.
I return to the sunset that brings closure to my day; to the sunrise that welcomes me to the dawn; to the gardens where I linger to inhale their fragrant beauty; to the ocean's edge and the rhythm of the waves that soothes my senses.
And in those places that speak to my soul I find the peace that had eluded me before. And I find the words to paint on this blank canvas in front of me and begin to fill in the blank spaces, no longer empty as before, peace finally settling upon my heart in these quiet moments as I step forward into the day.

Imagining
I can only imagine how it would be to dance among the poppies of Spring upon wings of butterflies, lingering for a while to inhale the beauty of the blossoms there.
And if I could soar with the seabirds out over the sea and glide upon trade winds to places far away, I can only imagine how it would be. Or to hitch a ride on the tail of a kite and drift up so high and to sit on the edge of clouds of cotton with sunbeams shining upon my face.
But content I am to dream sweet dreams of night as day has melted into the night and mystical melodies sing me to sleep and angels' wings carry me on moonbeams and starshine to the edge of night and toward a new day and dawn.
And as I begin a brand new day, I can only imagine how it would be.

Beating the Lines on Black Friday
Hard to believe it's so very near, the holidays are almost here,
as Santa's elves are so busy and bright trying to get everything just right
for all those good little girls and boys who sent such very long lists of toys.
And now that the Macy's parade is done and eating that turkey was so much fun,
parents, aunts and uncles all over town will be setting their alarms and marching on down
at dreadfully early hours way before the sun to get in such long lines that can't be much fun.
So on this Black Friday as the lines are so long I know that my plan certainly won't go wrong
as I ignore the crowds and their shopping spree and go back to sleep 'till a quarter to three;
waking up just in time for a spot of tea, having had such a beautiful day to be me.
