Is today Monday?
2010*10*11

WELCOME HOME, DEAR HEARTS, WELCOME HOME!

Come on out here on the porch and set a spell. Lolol This has been a very interesting week (read crazy) and it ain’t improving any!

I have a very spoiled little girl sprawled on my bed. If I hear a whimper, I am supposed to drop everything and go see what she wants. I don’t do too well with translations of rotten spoiled lil dog whimpers. I think I am being blackmailed. I also think that spoiled lil dogs learn very quickly how to make their person feel guilty.

I got a note from the Boss… did I get any sympathy? Any take care of myself type message? I don’t think so! What I did see was sumfin about spoiled pets should come with a “freeze by or an expiration date”. Boss, I think you have a winner here. Might want to look into a copywrite or a patent. Lolol Gotcha!

Oh well, sympathy comes where you find it… Speaking of Ophie, BRB!

1400 hours…

Just came back inside… whoooooo sat in the shade for the last 2 ½ hours. Waved at my flyguys… got flashed by them BBSBs. Heldoctor went over just a hittin’ it. Came back by a little later and a lot slower… Trip to ER maybe.

And while I was waving and throwing smooches, here come Butch and Dorothy. They pull in the drive to visit for a few and to check on Ophie. Well, Butch spots the rifle scope just as one of them birds goes high-tailing it just east of the house. I casually mention the moon in the second window, giggle, and he finds the BBSB in the scope… Couldn’t see the second window…lolol Dorothy grabs the scope… and NEVER says a word… Ponder, ponder… I wonder if she…? I’ll find out later… lolol
Here’s a pic from yesterday morning… sun was rising but not over the mountain yet…

or view link

and this is a pic of the warm house across the road. Mists were rising. I can see at least 3 paintings here… IF I can get to them… lolol

or
view link

Some odd and ends here… lolol My horoscope said I would meet and exotic person today… Does this mean a flyguy at the end of a chute? Hmmmm….
A thank you to SherriAnne for the suggestion that I add a bun cushion/pad to the GG outfits.
An ‘I’m packing and headin’ for the fall out shelter cause KK and Marv are planning to get even for my gotcha. I wonder which one?
A thank you to Little Jake for the pix and article on the “Sled”… A huge black bird with lots of personality… Inside joke everybody… Gotcha

I guess that’s it for the moment… I’ve given up on the idea of cleaning house with a backhoe… I’m to the point where I need a bull dozer... a crane… and whatever else I can think of that does heavy duty cleaning… lolol

Take care all of mine… go in safety always. Remember when all else fails, go outside…sit in the shade and watch the movement of the clouds. So very peaceful and calming.

Many hugs, much love and lots of lafter…the off in her own little world, meems

SATURDAY EDITION

2010*10*9

Welcome home, dear hearts, welcome home.

PTSD is a human response to  the INHUMANITIES of war and our environment!

I just watched a short article by Dr. S. Gupta on the “stigma” that is attached to those suffering PTSD…i.e., our military.  I am NOT a happy camper about “stigmas”.  If I have a broken bone, I go for help.  If I have a serious injury, I go for help.  If I have broken emotions,  I go for help!  I am, dammit, allowed to be human and so are ours!  They should not be forced to carry the added burden of the name callers.  Name callers who have never walked in those shoes!

Well, the latest on the Ophie… The pain has eased… Intake and output are both working but she’s still not able to stand/use hindquarters.  I started her on solid food late yesterday.  I make a mish mash of dried food and broths.  I also make a mix of boiled water, sugar and vanilla for an injured critter.  I use a large cc syringe to give the critter a few drops of this mix at a time.   This works for me but you should check with your vet.

Another tip here… When they are on sale, buy a few inexpensive plastic coated table cloths and stock up… They can be used as protectors of the areas under the injured pets.  They can be washed but they can also be trashed without losing a lot of money.

Ok, so I’m back on day shift… I think.  I rolled out at 0700.  Grabbed a jacket, Ophie, my cigs and out the front door I go… Tough love, I set Ophie out in the grass… about 15’ from the porch.  I head back to park my buns in the rocker.  I could hear something in the distance…I stopped to listen.

Well, it was a pack of canids of some sort… Pack greetings, howling, yipping going on way down the holler to the east.  Not another sound to be heard, not a bird, nothing… just the critters greeting each other and the sun as it came up.

Still with me?

OK, she says to herself as she continues to the porch and heads for the old rocker.

Another OK here, lolol.  I’m rooting in my pocket for a cig (I know, shame on me) and the lighter… turning at the same time and aiming my buns to park in the rocker…

I aimed, parked and immediately set up a howling of my own…Temp was all of 34.  The only thing between the bod and the chair was my nightgown!  Trust me, a cold, dew dampened chair seat will get your attention right away.  Can you say ‘wide awake?’  Oh yeah!

The sun wasn’t even above the hill top yet and I am sitting on the front porch cracking up.  Laffing at myself!

Dear hearts, I want to thank you all for your kindnesses and good wishes for the Ophie.  She is safe and warm and loved.

Take care all of mine… go in safety always.  Remember that a little kindness goes a long way.

Many hugs…much love and lots of lafter… The looking for warmer britches, meems

THURSDAY EDITION

2010*10*7

Welcome home, dear hearts, welcome home.

I debated as to whether I should post this or not.  It tells a lot about me and it also tells what daily living can be like here on the edge of a wilderness.  This is where I live…

http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=Allen+Rd,+Tyner,+Owsley,+Kentucky+40486&ll=37.370464,-83.800707&spn=0.006872,0.013797&t=h&z=16

Gots to tell you that yesterday was horrible... My little girl dog Ophie went missing sometime in the morning.. Viva had been alarm barking for a good 20 hours already.  Around noon, I heard male voices down by the creek...the sound of metal sliding against metal.  I kept listening...

Then about 1300 or so, I heard a critter crying... again from the direction of the creek.  I counted noses... one missing...

Well, I went down to the lower curve...She was somewhere below me in the creek area... I could hear her crying but couldn't get down to her. I came back home and started calling for help... Nobody was home...Called Kelly's office...Sheila offered to get Kelly... Animal control?  Nope, that guy doesn't like me... Duh Paula, the county garage... Grasscutter works for the county... I called, he was there and said he'd be right out.

He finds me sitting alongside the drop off on an upside-down green bucket talking to Ophie.  Oh, ...it was horrible waiting and listening to the little girl calling for help... and to not be able to do a thing about it.  I didn't dare go down that drop alone...50' down with several ledges...

GC arrived... I pointed... he went right down to the creek and brot her back up to me... She was shocky, shivering, bleeding and sopping wet.  He handed her to me,  I wrapped myself around that little dog and cried hysterically.  I had a flashback to my childhood.  Being hurt, no one to help, abandoned and in pain.

Then a car stopped... It was Anna, her son and grandson.  There I sit, making a spectacle of myself.  Anna got out...GC told her that I was in my own little world and couldn't hear her... He was right.

GC drove me home and went back on foot to get the pickup.

Then the other neighbors, Dorothy and Butch, arrived to help.  They had just gotten back down the mountain themselves... had to rescue a 5 day old baby goat... It had managed to trap itself in a briar patch on the ridge and wouldn't move... Mama goat was standing guard and wouldn't leave it.

Just another fun day in the holler!

Anyway,  consensus opinion... Coyotes have been very active the last couple of nites... Apparently a female or two are in heat... Ophie has several open bites on the front half of her body... She cannot work her hind quarters at all but she can feel pain... I pinched the pads on both hind feet and she reacted... She's taken water...

She's wrapped up in a blanket on the bed... Toasty warm finally.  The Spudley  and the Pyggs have been taking good care of and babysitting with her.  In fact, they are both on the bed with her right now.  Grooming her gently and tenderly… Animals are such wonderful and loving  critters…

With luck, lots of TLC, and gallons of chicken soup, I’m hoping she will recover.

Take care all of mine… go in safety always.  Remember to be thankful for what you have, not what you have not.

Many hugs, much love… and some gentle lafter each day… meems

Woo Hoooooooo!  I’m up… had my first cuppa… hair is combed..(and I have my toofums in)  Crawled in at midnite and other than the Viva waking me at 0130, I slept sound.   Now, just in case the ‘Keep you awake’ Gods are eavesdropping, I did not just say that.  Lololol

The Viva was on guard duty and something or some one was wandering around out back.  When the lady alarm barks, the whole world can hear her.  I grabbed the pistol and headed for the back porch.  Stood out there for a little while…Listening and watching the Viva… Whatever, whoever, was down by the creek.  I bellowed a warning and waited.  Nothing… Back to the apartment…Crawled in and back to sleep surrounded by critters.  All toasty warm and comfy…Real contentment.

Helpful household hint here…. If you should trip over a bear in the nite, don’t run… and for pete’s sake, don’t shoot at it… use the noise from the pistol/gun…the noise just might startle the bear enuf to send it on it’s way… or not…barking dogs can have the same effect.

Well, it looks like the flu season has arrived… The Boss has it, Lilgray has a cold and I am sneezing like crazy.  Get Better you two.  I’m not too worried about catching anything… lolol  No decent self respecting germ would live on the old bod.  Wouldn’t stand a chance will all the critters set to catch it, the germ that is.  Lolol

Had to turn the heat on yesterday… getting too cold in the house already.  Would you guys believe it was 28 deg this morning?  I didn’t see any frost but I bet Anna had some.  It always seems to get cooler in the bottoms over nite… Cool air rolls down hill? Anyhow, it was nice to have the house a little warmer.

or

Now, how bout this for a comment and a compliment (?) on the News…” You break every literary rule, yet it works great.”  I cracked up when I read this remark made by Tootall1121, the manager of the Fiction Writers and Wannabes group.   And he invited me to join even tho I don’t quite fit the parameters of the group.  I received a lovely, lively and warm welcome… Thank you all…I’m having the best time.

Lets see here… Oh, Broom!  Broom has been dozing all summer long…When she did come out of her closet, all she did was grumble… The heat!  The Humids!  The miseries!

or

http://www.eons.com/photos/photo/243495-

Right back into the closet she would go after putting a do not disturb sign on the door knob!  Ok… so now, it’s October, Halloween month,  witches and goblins and stuff.  The Temp has dropped to a comfortable level…good flying weather…skies are beautifully clear.  There are parties to attend…outhouses to upset… windows to soap… trick or treat… and she still doesn’t want to fly?  Now, it’s too cold… frost?  Broom is afraid her tail assembly will get frost bitten?  What? Will I be forced to find one of those small electric hand warmers… do they make them for tail assemblies?

Well, maybe if I get some cider and cinnamon sticks…  Maybe the aroma of the warming cider will bring her around…I sure hope so… I plan on dressing up and going out to trick or treat.  It’s hard tellin’ what I might pick up and bring home.  (Bite your tongue, Marv!)

Speaking of Broom, did some one ask me to make a broom for them or say they would like to have one?  Seems like somebody did but I can’t remember who…  Remind me, if you will, please.

Take care all of mine… go in safety always.  Remember the more innocent the look, the guiltier the pet..  lolol

Many hugs… much love… and lots of lafter everyday… meems

OK, kids… get in here and get yourselves warmed up…  Sheesh… 44 degrees in mid winter would be shirt sleeve weather… right now, it’s more like ‘bring on the longhandled drop seat drawers’.  I know… I am really getting harder to please weatherwise as I get older… Did I just say that?  Oh dear…. Lolol  One thing I must do is get the winter mocs out.  I don’t know which closet they, the mocs, are hiding in at the moment.  My feet were cold last nite.  Course, I could turn the heat on but I ain’t gonna.  Not yet anyway…

And Yes,  Sherry,  my winter mocs are just as dressy and paint covered as the rest of my every day outfits.  Lolol  They ain’t purty but, they are warm and comfy.

Mornin’ everybody… been up all nite again.  Dogs are grumpy (wish the old lady would get on some kind of schedule grumpy)  The cats on the other hand are happy to see me whenever I roll out.  I get these bump rub greetings… purring rumbles…

Let’s see here, what else?  Oh, I paid the bills overnite… I am out at the mail box at 0500 this morning… No jacket,  just a robe … Can you say chilly…standing on the driveway, dew falling and the mists rising from the low spots.  So beautiful…

And I’ve heard from SocSec… lolol  A form letter… wanting info from 2001 … and three or four other years.  Now, I need to ponder on this 2001 thing.  Why that particular year?  Anyway, I’ve made the phone calls to get the info… Now, I need to wait for the info to come in the mail.  Ain’t this fun?

Been outside in the sun for a little bit… trimmed one of the bushes..  The one out by the mail box… loaded the trimmings into the back of Tildy.  Played with the six pack… and laffed like I was truly crazy.

Saw some of my flyguys going on their way.  Watched the birds and saw the boyfriend out there in his favorite bush… Him was sweet talking me again even tho I had on a black shirt… no red today… lolol  I whistled and he would respond ever so softly.  How can you not love nature at her finest?  Saw Mocking Birds and tiny wrens… Blue Jays were out and the crows were complaining…

So, anyway, I’m out there putzing around…looking at stuff…Sprinkled some seeds (from the Black Eyed Susan that lives by the front porch) in one of the side beds… Maybe I can get them started there.

I can’t remember if I told you that the Mimosa is full of seed pods.  Gonna try to get Mimosas started in my uncut field.

Back to the critters for a minute… The Newbie is starting a sing song… Lily, the wrecking crew and the Spudley are playing doggy gotcha tag out in the hall way.. Out of the kitchen…a sharp right into the hallway…past the bathroom door…another right into the apartment … then a u-turn on the bed…out the door to the kitchen again!

Trust me, ya need to use caution before stepping out of a room into the hallway…. Not only will you get run over, you just might end up with knots on your shins.. Definite ouchies.

Still having phone problems…Repair service guys might be out today to see if they can find the problem …Anna and El stopped for a few minutes while I was out by the mail box.  Anna said the phone co. had been running around Island City since Monday so I guess the guys are trying to find the problem…

Guess that’s it for now… Take care all of mine…go in safety always.  Remember that each day is a new beginning… Make use of it.

Many hugs, much love and lots of lafter every day… meems

MONDAY - Gorgeous day out there today… Clear blue sky, A few white puffies and a deliciously cool breeze. Come… set a spell on the back porch and relax.
or

I’ve got to tell you all that I have giggled and laffed for two days over the winky thing. I have gotten the funniest comment/replies. Lolol

SherriAnne tells me I have winky damage (it does sumfin to the thought processes…how would I know the difference?).

Junie tells me she ‘looked it up”. (there’s a winkypedia?)

Draco tells me he’s pretty sure I don’t have one or was that Smokey?

Marvin volunteered the info that winkies are affixed to a permanent location. (Marv is an expert on winkies?)

All Ozark could do was giggle.

RosieB has never heard of winkies and asked me to explain. She’s from New Zealand. New Zealand doesn’t know about winkies?

The Boss, apparently, ain’t gonna touch this one. (Smart man!) Nothing from KK either but I think she is tied up with sumfin else at the moment.
Oopsie, KK responded. She has the giggles!

Now, even with the best of intentions meant, this info has been no help at all! LOLOL I am still thoroughly confused.
Well, this is Thursday… I’m still tickled.

I tried to get to sleep the other day but I kept asking myself questions about the winky situation. I whooped and hollered and laffed till I couldn’t breathe and tears were rolling… Critters got a little grumpy tho.

Ok, so for the last two days, I’ve sort of been stuck inside again… in the nineties and humid. The wind blew over my newly moved shed the other nite… it is belly down by the back steps… lolol I know the feeling. Lolol
It’s supposed to be 20 degrees cooler this week-end and rainy… Anything with the word cooler in it works for me. (I can’t wait until Grasscutter sees the downed shed…plugging my ears!)

I got some painting done… one is a start on Anna’s old fashioned red pears… just one pear to begin with. Then I put the highlites on the Willow in the Red Bird painting… And lastly, I finished the small abstract…Wild Tomato Vine 8 ½ x 11. Got some panels primed and I’m still peeling the primers off my hands and from under my nails. I DO get involved in my work… lolol

or
view link

Then I had a politician stop by this week… lolol Poor man, I don’t think he knew what to make of me… He wanted my vote and all I could tell him was that I would think about it. Lolol

Have I mentioned I don’t much care for politics? Or the Pols as everybody is calling them nowadays… The rumors and gossip going around in KYare as vicious as any I’ve ever heard. Not from the guy who stopped, BTW, just in general.

Let’s see here… OH BOY! I received another gift in the mail from the Secret Admirer… lolol I am turning lumpy, seedy and red! LOLOL Somewhere along the line, I must have mentioned Ghirardelli candies… that my fave is the raspberry dark chocolates. Cause, that’s what I found in a box out front… box also held a package of mint/dark chocolate. Oh gee, I think I am in trouble.

Lolol this evening, 1900 hours, before I rolled out, I did some ghostie gotchas with the six pack… lolol I had ALL SIX up on the bed… play growling and bouncing. I’m tellin’ ya that it was a free for all for about 10 minutes… llololl I hide under the covers… reach out an touch some one… they spin and come under after me… I have the best time. Bruises aside! Lolol

Guess that’s it for the time being. Everybody’s fed, watered, tormented and content. What more could I ask? Lolol

Take care all of mine… go in safety always. Remember to keep up with your winky… don’t ever let it get away from you. Gotcha everybody!

Many hugs, much love and loads of laffter. The still ‘fused meems

OK, so it’s 2200 hours and I am bright eyed and bushytailed…not to mention a little squirrelly!  Lolol  I had a DUH moment this evening and maybe I have figured out part of what my sleep problem is.  LOLOL  Shut up Marv!

or

http://www.eons.com/photos/photo/583656-The-cat-the-hat-and-me-

How bout sounds and temperatures?   [ If this this too boring, just skip  the next paragraph or two… lolol ]  Anyway… if I am correct, I should be able to get back onto day shift…or not. lolol

Scenario…I sleep with windows open when I can… I ALWAYS have a fan going when I am sleeping… white noise and all that stuff.  Cold and or wet rainy weather puts me into sleep mode.  (I get ‘fall fever’ instead of spring fever).

OK… So last summer the central air went out…I bought a window unit as a back up just in case… Well, thinking that it would be cheaper to run the window unit here in the apartment only (on energy saver) and to turn temp up the central a/c, this is what I have been doing all this summer.  It does save money, by the way.

OK?  So now, I have a fan going and cold air blowing down the back of my neck here in the apartment.  I wear sweats/bathrobe/coat of paint while I am up and wandering around.  Lolol  Granny Grunge at its best! Am I making any sense at all here?

Anyway… I am going to change things around with the window unit and keep it on off…Unless it gets into the high 90’s again.  We’ll see what happens.

Now, to the email messages I’ve been receiving… lolol  This is just one of today’s junks that I have gotten… this may get a little ornery…so be advised.  Lolol

I roll out… turn on puters and off to the kitchen I go… warm up coffee that I made overnite… Fresh pot, wooohooo!

Come back to the apartment after doing some careful broken field running down the hallway.  Rather large yeller dog taking up a lot of room.  I’ve ridden ponies smaller than the Newbers…Truth!

or

http://www.eons.com/photos/photo/673953-2-1-1-17

Back to the puters’ emails.  I go to the list of this, that, and the others that need to be answered… and then I spot “MOVE YOUR WINKY UP”.  Oh oh, move my winky up?  Sheesh, I didn’t know I had a ‘winky’.  Move it up?  Oh dear..My winky is down?  Now what do I do?

First and foremost, I start checking myself for a ‘winky’…Am I supposed to have one?  Where is it supposed to be?  Does everybody have a winky?  Is this a one time only creation?  Is there a cure for a sagging winky?  That is assuming I am supposed to have one…Move?  I can move my winky?  Aren’t winky’s allowed to stay in one place?  Are winky’s portable?  I think I am on a cascade here… and I am definitely having a fit of hysterics… lololol

Well, I checked with all the critters, the neighbors but stopped short of calling 911… Nobody’s ever thought about their winky’s apparently so I found no help in answering my questions…Do you suppose duct tape might work?  Gorilla glue?  Maybe I should email these questions back to the sender?  Then again, maybe it’s best not to… just might get an answer to each and every question.  I’m not sure I want to hear what I might hear.   The possibilities  boggle the mind.

I can see that I am again going down hill rapidly! (Understatement) I best be moving on for now… I just might get some work done…I have at least 3 painting stacked up in my brain.  And I still need to write the info for Kim ref the painting.

Take care all of mine…go in safety always… Remember to be prepared for just about anything and everything?  You, too, might be questioned about your ‘winky’.  Lolol

Many hugs, much love and lots of giggles each day… the laffing so hard I can’t breathe meems…

Wowser!  It’s 0315 and I can’t sleep!  Come on in tho and make yourselves to home.  Make your own daggone coffee!  Toast… whatever!  Can you tell I am a grump?  Lolol  Stay the nite if you don’t mind the critters walking on and over you… You might even get an odd slurp or bump-rub as a bonus.  Lolol

I’ve spent the evening composing a letter to my congressman, Mr. Rogers of the House of Representatives.  He has helped me more than once in dealing with the Soc Sec theocracy.  Sheesh… Anyway… I rec’d a call from someone in Chicago? Maybe?  Lady said she was working overtime on a Saturday morning…?

Lady from SS also mentioned several times, at least 3 times, that if I had not rec’d payments from the state before 2004, then I was owed a LOT of  money.  I kept telling her that ‘Yes, I had started drawing my state pension prior to 2004.  She would mention it again….had I????? Sheesh, what was it about YES that she didn’t understand?

Now, remember that I am a trained listener.  Did it for years… I told her what I had done before I retired.  I also caught her in saying, what in my opinion, was an untruth.  I did not call her on it… I’ll play the game her way and throw in a few rules of my own that she’s never thot of.

Anyway, my feeling about the repetitive questioning concerning my retirement pay  was that I was being tempted…Can you say: chocolate covered carrot being offered to the old mule?  Was I being tested for my honesty, my morals, my memory?  Would I lie to get the suggested LOT OF MONEY?

All this came about last Saturday.  And it’s been down hill ever since… no, I’m kidding.  It is true however, that I do NOT like dealing with gov agencies.  Remember, it’s important to document each contact… dates, times, Names, etc.  Also, keep a copy at a distant location with someone you trust.  I know this sounds a little paranoid but trust me, it can be a life and money saver.  This ain’t over yet… lolol  I’m going to bed now!

OK, I’m up!  At 3 p.m. I am finally out of bed.  Critters have been fed, watered.  I am pondering what to have for breakfast.  Will she cook sumfin or will she not?

I managed to  get a pic of the Grasscutter the other day.  He made me promise to delete the ones that didn’t turn out just right… lolol  I also managed to get a pic of the Spudley sitting in the window.  Him loves an open window… lolol

Well, the open window proved to be dangerous for me!  Remember me saying that the wasps and I have an agreement?  How bout I got stung the other morning.

Rolled out of bed, put on my glasses, leaned forward to read thermo, put my hand and weight on the bed knob by the window and got zapped.

This ain’t the best pic in the world but it is the best I can do thru a window pane covered with dust and snuffle marks.  (would I have a window pane covered with doggy snuffle marks?  Oh yeah!)

Poor lil feller, I didn’t see the guard wasp perched on the knob.  He nailed me right between the ring finger and pinky on my left hand.  Ouchie! Felt like I’d been poked by a red hot railroad spike!  No, I didn’t swat him…He was only doing his job.  Come to think of it, I didn’t remember to read the temp after getting stung… Shows how important that information wasn’t!  lolol

Guess that’s it for now… I still have to write an explanation ref the symbolisms in the painting of Our Lady of the Flag ll for Kim.

Take care all of mine, go in safety always.  Remember this thought for the day.  Do NOT use black sheets on your bed if you own anything other than a black dog.  Black sheets and any other color animals are incompatible.  Definitely don’t have any white speckled ones.  Critters that is!

Many hugs, much love and loads of lafter in your life every day.  meems

Mornin’ everybody!  Get your buns in here and cool off.  There’s all kinds of snacks in here… just help selves and one another if you can’t find what you want.  Been busy, sort of, sleeping and I did get out doors for a while.

I got tickled at myself last nite…  thinking about what I had just been doing and telling you guys all about it.

Now, y’all know that I rake the bedroom carpet, then use the curry comb and then vacuum… Well, this time, I used the vacuum on the feather beds!  Yup, there I am last nite, sweeping the bed!  Lolol  I do this about twice a year…air stuff out..change the duvets…(Feather bed covers) and redo the whole shebang.

OK, so I have a floor full of comforters, sheets and feather pillows....  I don’t use blankets.. The critters are crowded by the door –looking at one another.  “Now, what is she doing”.

I wrestle the sweeper out of the studio…try to find an empty plug here in the apartment.  Aha, One by the bed.  Understand that one must be a contortionist to reach said plug but, I manage!  Ok, I have the attachments connected… I turn sweeper on… Critters disappear.  They are not accustomed to the noise and they definitely don’t like it.

Did you know that the attachments and the duvet are incompatible?  Sweeper tried to eat the duvet… Duvet fought back and refused to be eaten… It seems like I have gone thru this before.    Deja vous all over again?  Lolol  I rapidly start to recall why I put this job off as long as I can!  Lolol  You talk about your basic wrestling match!

In the mean time, I am jogging up and down the basement steps with the laundry!  (Remember the rinse cycle went out?)  I got a couple of loads done, dried, folded and put away.  (next time around, I plan to be born rich instead of so cute and good looking, and need I mention charming?)

I also managed to get all the framing/hangers attached to the finished paintings.  Grasscutter coming out this afternoon to take me and the paintings into town.  Might be able to walk thru the living room again. (For a week or two. )  Make that a day or two  …  or not!  Lolol

Good news here!  Mr and Mrs 50/50 have arrived home from the hosp.  Lolol  I got a call yesterday… and I cracked up.  Mr. 50 sounded good… Mrs. 50 and I got tickled and giggled…a lot… Mrs. said I could have the 75%… and she’d keep the $… I get the rest?… Oh dear, another mouth to feed? (I just made this part up)  lolol  Gotcha both this time!  Meems is being bad again.

I think it was Marv who said I was incorrigible?  What? Who? Me?  Incorrigi….?  What?  Is that related to cardboard?  Is that the big balloon that floats over the ball games? Does this mean I am rust proof?  Explain Marv!

Then there’s the Bratski…More good news.  His boy has been/is very ill.  With many treatments the last week, Son is improving but not out of the woods yet.  Love and hugs, sweetie, to you and yours.

Ok… back to the trip to town.  I’m all ready to go… Hair is clean and drying.  Went out on the side porch just as one of my flyguys went over.  I think SherriAnne is correct.  Just let me peek out the door, wearing my granny grunge or not have me teeth in, and a whole battalion of somebody or other will catch me.

Yup, there I am… Blackwatch robe decorated with white primer…wet mocs, hair wet and stringy, no teeth.  And one of my flyguys goes over…  I get flashed, I curtsy and start giggling. How come it is that I never see them when I am all cleaned up?  Sherri says my granny grunge seem to be a real turn on for the fella’s up there… lolol  I have several thots on her opinion, but I best not voice them here…

Thermo says 90 again but the air is dry…High thin clouds and a lovely breeze here on the mountain.

I’ve been trying to figure out what kind of winter we are going to have but the signs are all messed up.  The woolly worms were out way too early this spring.  The squirrels don’t seem to be any heavier than normal.  The deer I’ve seen appear to be in good shape tho I haven’t seen any of my redtails lately.

Somebody was out hunting the other day… I heard one round fired.  Then two days ago, I saw buzzards circling to the northwest of me.  Yesterday, while I was out, I heard the crows a fussing from the same direction.

I best be getting off here for now… Gots to get dressed and do up my hair.  Takes a long time to paint and patch an old barn!

Take care all of mine, go in safety always.  Remember to look for the good every day… it helps!

Many hugs, much love and loads of lafter every day… meems
