The moon shines brightly in the dark of night,

Soft and golden is it's light.

The air feels crisp, yet dry,

The moon light sparkles in your eye.

The sounds of night are peaceful and low,

As the wind picks up and starts to blow.

Gently the strands of your bueatiful hair

Begins to flutter and fly in the night air.

The air turns cold as we walk,

You and I continue to talk.

The cold continues to take you by storm,

I put my arm around you to keep you warm.

You lay your head upon my shoulder,

It's as big and hard as a boulder.

The love we have for to share,

Makes it feel soft under your hair.

Your arm around my waist do hold,

As in other stories I've been told.

I hold you, you hold me,

As we pass beneith a tree.

From no others do we need help,

As we walk together, step by step.

FOR EIGHTY YEARS AMONG US HE LIVES ,

FOR EIGHTY YEARS FROM HIS HEART HE GIVES .

YOU CAN SEE THE CARING IN HIS EYES ,

HE ALWAYS SEES THE BRIGHT BLUE SKIES .

IF YOU NEED SOMETHING , HE'LL GIVE IT TO YOU ,

IF SOMETHING IS BROKEN , HE'LL FIX IT TOO .

HE'LL TAKE YOU FISHING DOWN BY THE LAKE ,

HE'LL TEACH YOU HOW , THE BIG ONES TO TAKE .

HE'LL SHARE WITH YOU THE LIFE HE HAS KNOWN ,

HE'LL NEVER , EVER DO YOU WRONG .

A MIGHTY TREE GROWS ATOP SOME HILL ,

ITS' SHADOW COVERS THE GROUND STILL .

THE TREE WAS ONCE BUT A SPROUT ,

NOW A MIGHTY TOWER , WITH LIMBS SPREAD OUT.

ROBERT GRADY BOYD IS LIKE THIS TREE ,

WITH CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN , WE ALL AGREE ,

HE WRAPS US ALL IN HIS POWERFUL ARMS ,

THEN HE SOOTHES OUR FEARS WITH HIS CHARMS .

TO WALK IN HIS WAKE IS PLEASURE INDEED ,

EVEN WHEN OUR WANTS ARE NOT IN NEED .

GOD SMILED UPON US ALL THE DAY ,

ROBERT GRADY BOYD CAME AMONG US TO STAY .

Rebecca of Sunnybrook Drive

REBECCA OF SUNNYBROOK DRIVE

She sits on her porch, rocking in a chair,

Waiting for someone with a life to share.

She sips her coffee from her mug,

Waiting for someone she can hug.

The wind blows gently around the magnolia tree,

She waits for me to set her soul free.

The morning sun shines brightly in the sky,

She has love for me, but I don't know why.

During her life she has known much hurt,

At times she felt as low as the dirt.

To give her love to another man would be hard,

For they had only dealt her the cheating card.

Afraid of what life might offer her,

She sits and strokes a pet cat's fur.

I, too, was looking for life's lasting love,

I looked high, low, and from God above.

Through all I sought, none were to be found,

Although beautiful women, around me, did abound.

There was this one and that one, but none would last,

My life drawing closed, my heart in a cast.

My ventures out were seldom done,

My life contained no more fun.

I turned around one day and there she be,

She stood there, lost and lonely, looking back at me.

We danced a dance that was so sweet,

Through life's strange way we at last did meet.

Her hand in mine a walk we did start,

Our souls intertwined, never to part.

The day will come that I'll ask for her life,

The day will come that she'll become my wife.

Now she waits for me to come home,

To our place of love, covered like a dome.

As I come around the curve in my car,

Her eyes light up, bright as the morning star.

I've come home to Becky you see,

Rebecca of Sunnybrook Drive for me.

P.W.P.
Posted On 12/20/2010 05:44:02

P.W.P.

Alone, sometimes with a child or two under care,

Sometimes, alone, with no life to share.

Where to go from here, what to do ?

Why must I always feel so blue ?

No one could possibly know how I feel,

Alone, torn apart, my whole life a reel.

The perfect life of love has passed me by,

Only clouds and rain fill my sky.

Every day I face a life of dread,

Sometimes I even wish I were dead.

But life may have a change or two for me,

There is this place I found, you see.

A place where there are others to talk to,

A place where I can turn my cloudy skies blue.

A place I can always feel like a V.I.P.,

A place that's called P.W.P.

Once I Saw
Posted On 12/20/2010 05:43:18

ONCE I SAW

I once saw a woman carrying a box of goods,

She went down the street and through the woods.

I once saw a man who wore a big black hat,

He carried a bag which held a cat.

I once saw children who in the yard did play,

They built cities and walls made of clay.

The doors were open, no locks could be found,

There was love, trust and honesty all around.

I once saw a man who carried a gun,

He would shot people just to have fun.

I once saw a woman who pulled on a rope,

All she could do was smoke on some dope.

I once saw a place where no children could play,

It was not safe, not yet to this day.

Doors were closed, bolted, secured and locked,

There was no way in or out, everything was blocked.

I long to see, not only what it was, but what it could be.

Where there is no fear but love and all is free.

I long to see more cities made of clay,

I long to see children out to play.

No Love For Me

NO LOVE FOR ME

Life ? What is life to someone like me?

The way things are, I could just be a tree.

No one cares about the way I feel,

My happiness, my heart, they steal.

There is no one to care if I should die,

There is no one at all, why should I try ?

I gave my all to make her happy,

But how did she treat me ? CRAPPY !!

To her I would have gave my life,

She would never have to suffer strife.

She took a dagger and deep into my heart,

She drove the blade, tearing me apart.

Is there not someone to care ?

For me to give my life to share ?

I say to you, I tell you true,

Surely as the sun is bright, the sky is blue,

I can never love that way again,

But with a new life, anew I begin.

Where this life will lead I do not know,

But the deepness of my heart will not slow,

For when alone at night my heart will cry,

Alone at night my soul does die.

When I look up to the dark vastness above,

Once again I know, there is no love....

My Becky

She is a lady who is so very sweet ,

She is always so good , always so neat .

Her voice is sweet and loving as can be ,

When we dance , with hazel eyes , she looks at me .

She holds me close with every step ,

From the others we need no help .

The night passes so quickly by ,

As the moon brightly shines in the sky .

The man in the moon looks down with a smile ,

For this lady I could go that extra mile .

From times past I have known strife ,

With this lady I can now know life .

We are the same in many ways ,

I look forward to seeing her for many days .

She makes me smile , my heart fills with light ,

But alas , we must part , late into the night .

When the morning breaks and the sun does shine ,

Once again I’ll see my Becky , everything will be fine .

My Pledge to You
Posted On 12/20/2010 05:41:13

MY PLEDGE TO YOU

AN UNQUIET CAFE, A CUP OF COFFEE, YOU AND I,

A BRIGHT MOON AND STARS FILLED THE NIGHT SKY.

YOU WERE AFRAID OF ME AND I OF YOU,

WE BEGAN A FRIENDSHIP FAST AND TRUE.

WE TOLD EACH OTHER OF OUR LIVES AND FEARS,

WE TALKED A LOT, LAUGHED A LOT, AND CRIED A FEW TEARS.

THE CLOSENESS BETWEEN US GREW GREATER EACH DAY,

PRETTY SOON WE WERE TOGETHER IN EVERY WAY.

WHEREVER YOU SAW ONE OF US, YOU WOULD SEE THE OTHER,

THE LOVE THAT GREW BETWEEN US, WE DID NOT COVER.

NOW WE PLEDGE TO EACH OTHER AN UNDYING LOVE,

A LIFE TOGETHER, GIVEN BY GOD ABOVE.

I GIVE TO YOU, MY LIFE, MY LOVE MY ALL,

I'LL ALWAYS BE THERE, YOU WON'T HAVE TO CALL.

YOU GIVE TO ME A HAPPINESS I HAVE NEVER KNOWN,

THE LOVE YOU GIVE TO ME, YOU HAVE DEEPLY SHOWN.

UNTIL THE DAY THAT I MUST PASS FROM THIS LIFE,

YOU SHALL ALWAYS BE, MY LOVE, MY LIFE, MY WIFE.

My Happiness, My Love, My Life
Posted On 12/20/2010 05:40:21

The sun rises, the blue sky clears,

The night is gone, so are the fears.

The sun shines warm and bright,

Birds fly into the morning light.

Another day is born unto thee,

Another day is given to me.

My eyes open to see your face,

Once again my heart begins to race.

Your eyes closed, you continue to sleep,

As I stare at you my eyes weep.

I weep for you with love and joy,

You treat me as a man, not a toy.

Your love for me is bold and true,

We share a love, me and you.

Throughout the days that we shall live,

My deepest love, to you, I give.

My heart breaks when we do part,

But your love I do hold, deep in my heart.

When I see your face at the end of the day,

You could mold my soul like a lump of clay.

My heart leaps with joy and love,

My spirits fly high like that of a dove.

I hear your words, always in my mind,

“I love you” echoes throughout my head,

“I love you” is what you have said.

The grass is green, flowers bloom,

The sweet smell of nectar fills the room.

The birds sing and animals do play,

Even on a cold, cold winters day.

I cannot begin to tell you how I feel,

Sometimes it just doesn’t seem real.

I know I love you and you love me,

And if you think about it, that’s how it should be.

Hand in hand, together we walk,

Heart to heart, together we talk.

Your love makes me feel like a king,

You’re my Queen, my love to you I bring.

Tie dyed t-shirt, makeup for a clown,

When I’m with you I never frown.

When I’m troubled, you’re always there,

All of my life, you wish to share.

You’re my happiness, my love, my life,

Soon now, you shall be my wife….
