If I Were Rich
Posted On 12/20/2010 05:31:12

IF I WERE RICH

What would I do if I were rich ?

Would I sit around and bitch ?

I'm not sure just what I'd do ,

Would I be lonely , sad and blue ?

Would I give to the poor part of my wealth ?

Would I invest in everlasting health ?

Would I build a mansion upon a hill ?

Would I share with others my good will ?

Would I buy myself some fancy new car ?

Would I travel both wide and far ?

Would I spend my time with fancy things ?

Would I buy myself expensive gold rings ?

As I sit and ponder , what do I see ?

I see a rich man already inside of me .

I'm rich with friends and those I love ,

I'm rich with life from God above .

If I were to have enormous wealth ,

Would I truly have good health ?

I think not , for you see ,

If I were to die , it'll not accompany me .

What if I were rich and about to die ?

Would I continue to cheat , steal and lie ?

With wealth , one may feel alone ,

Like a dog with a great big bone .

Friends can never be bought with money ,

You can't buy your way into the land of milk and honey .

Love is given through free will ,

Not at the payment of some bill .

I now accept my life of riches ,

Even though , in life , I dig the ditches .

I now accept my life to die ,

And I shall never question why .

The true riches I have I share with others ,

As we share our lives with our mothers .

I know now that death draws near ,

I shall have nothing more to fear .

I shall give of myself for all to see ,

As peace and love accompanies me .

Life is what we make it ,

Life is to give not to take it .

Share the riches you have today ,

Share your life , give it away .

I Am Wolf
Posted On 12/20/2010 05:30:28

I AM WOLF

My eyes are dark, cold and black,

Speed and courage I do not lack.

I'm covered with fur from head to toe,

When alone at night I fear no foe.

I have long, white, sharp teeth,

Some people say I am a thief.

I sleep by day and hunt by night,

Sometimes, in the dark, you can hear me fight.

If you see me in the heat of the day,

My fur appears to be a dark gray.

Late at night when all is still,

My fur keeps me warm from the chill.

Some have worshipped me as a treasure,

Some have used my fur for their pleasure.

I some times run with my pack,

Sometimes I run alone down the same track.

Leave me alone and you'll have nothing to fear,

But if you cross my path you may shed a tear.

I roam the lands where many have stood,

But few men can say that I'm understood.

I am long and sleek and very fast,

I am WOLF, you know my name at last.

Husband and Wife, You and Me
Posted On 12/20/2010 05:29:49

The clear, clean, bright blue sky above,

The soft, gentle cooing of a dove.

A soft, fluffy cloud floats gently by,

Way up high in God’s morning sky.

People walk lazily to and fro,

Our love for each other quickly will grow.

You said yes to becoming my wife,

I’ll  take care of you the rest of your life.

A warm, loving, caring feeling deep in my heart,

I know our love was strong right from the start.

You make me happy from head to toe,

I have you now; I’ll never let you go.

I pledge to you a love so strong,

You’ll never again taste the pain of wrong.

Your life will be filled with happiness and joy,

I pledge to you the life of this overgrown boy.

When you wake each morning you will know,

There is someone for you with love to show.

I will shower you with love and devotion,

Not just words that go through the motion.

Each day of your life will be filled with love,

The love I have for you, given from God above.

Each day will be different with love all around,

You’ll be covered with gifts and love will  abound.

I don’t have much to offer you,

But I promise, you’ll never be blue.

I’ve made mistakes, but you know that,

I’ll always wear them, like I wear my hat.

As I look back I see that I can’t change the past,

But a new time has come for me to change at last.

I am a good man, or so they say,

And I promise you on this special day,

When we take our vows in marriage,

And I take you away in our horseless carriage,

I’ll  have love for you like no other could,

I’ll give my life to you like a husband should.

When the day comes that my life should end,

I’ll stand and wait for you around that bend,

Then once again we shall be

Husband and wife, you and me.

High Jump for Life
Posted On 12/20/2010 05:28:59

The sun shines brightly with the sound of the starter’s gun,

Hundreds of kids have gathered to just have fun.

Big kids, little kids, but kids just the same,

All have come to play in the game.

Some walk tall, some are pushed in a chair,

They’ve all come, a gold prize to share.

Special people they are, each and every one,

They’ve all come just to have fun.

There will be running and swimming in this game,

They will all be treated just the same.

Some will throw a ball as far as they can,

I’ll sit on the sidelines, just a fan.

Smiles and laughter can be heard far and wide,

They’ve all come to play not to hide.

When the weekend is over they’ll go home,

Some may even forget and leave a brush or comb.

Now the time is here to begin the game,

They’ve come to play bearing no shame.

A high jump in life they’ve all taken,

A high jump indeed, there’s no mistaken.

The track is fast, some runners may be slow,

But all are winners when it’s “go”.

Some will wear medals of bronze, silver, and gold,

But one thing is sure, all their spirits are bold.

Let’s all hear a cheer for those who win or lose,

For to live their life, they did choose.

MAY GOD GRANT YOU YOUR DEEPEST WISH ,

THAT I"LL SHUT UP SO YOU CAN FISH.

For those Who Wish to Live
Posted On 12/20/2010 05:26:33

FOR THOSE WHO WISH TO LIVE

The years that have gone past shows in their faces,

Time has taken it's toil and slowed their paces,

Yet the years have not dimmed their love

For each other or for the one above.

They have stories to tell from days gone by,

Stories to make you laugh and stories to make you cry.

There was war they could tell stories of,

Then peace filled the air like the flight of a dove.

They had children to carry on,

To live out their legacy whenever they are gone.

Now their children have children, their hearts delight,

Grandchildren they are, soon to take fight.

Then, once again, a new generation will have a start,

To carry on the name, they too will be smart.

These two people, with love never-ending,

Their love is strong, unyielding, unbending,

Stand back and watch, as the world goes by,

They will teach and guide all those who try.

Although they may be old, no longer young,

The spring in their steps may be sprung,

They have life yet to give,

To those who truly wish to live.

They could give up, lay down and die,

But I ask this one question, WHY ?

To be old, or so they may say,

Doesn't mean you give up on this day.

Fall Love
Posted On 12/20/2010 05:25:31

Cool, crisp air, bright sun shiny day,

All is fair, for a fall day’s play.

The leaves, yellow, brown and gold,

As we walk, hand in hand, we hold.

They say spring is for lovers anew,

But I say, fall is for lovers too.

When the heart is full of love and caring,

Then the season matters not for sharing.

The days come and the days go,

The air is still or the wind might blow.

The ground may be covered with snow.

No matter what the day, our love will show.

We could sit by a fire in each others arms,

I would be lost in your love and charms.

Expressions of Love
Posted On 12/20/2010 05:24:37

Life has been hard, cruel and unfair,

I’ve always seen things with an uncertain air.

It’s always been “Damned if I do, Damned if I don’t”,

No matter what I may say or want.

I looked high and low to find my way,

My life had been molded from earths clay.

I saw very little in the day’s light,

It seems I was looking for a fight.

The bright moon from high above,

Never gave me the happiness of love.

You came into my life from nowhere,

At a time that I had no care.

I now see the light of the sun,

In the moon I feel the fun.

I see life and love in your smile,

To hear your voice I would walk a mile.

Your touch is like the gentle wind at night,

The sight of you makes me know that I’m alright.

Your sweet lips, as they press against mine,

Makes my eyes light up and shine.

Your arms reach out to hold me,

From you I will not flee.

With the love you have for my life,

Makes me wish you were my wife.

My life was once so blue,

But when the day comes you say “I do”,

I’ll hold you close to my heart,

From you I’ll never part.

You will never again know hurt or pain,

I’ll be there to keep you from the rain.

The steps you take will be light and free,

All because of love for you and me.

When your hair becomes thin and gray,

When you sleep late into the day,

When your voice is broken and low,

When your hands find it hard to tie a bow,

When your feet shuffle as you walk,

When we can do little but talk,

I’ll still be there by your side,

I’ll be there, no need to hide.

When time has come to it’s finial tick,

You’ll still be the one I would pick.

I love you now, that’s for sure,

I’ll love you then, with a love that’s pure.

A family, filled with love, we shall be,

A family of love, that’s you and me…..

Dreams of Summer
Posted On 12/20/2010 05:22:47

The forest is full with a variety of trees,

The ground is covered with multicolored leaves.

She walks through the woods in early fall,

She knows these trees, one and all.

A light breeze blows and her hair does fly,

The sun shines down from a bright blue sky.

Her dogs scurry around and play on the run,

They too enjoy the fall as they have fun.

The squirrels hurry to gather nuts to store,

The winter will come and there will be snow galore.

The crispness that lightly floats in the air,

Gives hints of warm fires to share.

Long nights of darkness lay ahead,

As summer comes to an end and plays dead.

Already we long for the coming of spring,

When flowers bloom and the birds sing.

But now we must deal with the forthcoming cold,

As man has done since times of old.

The snow will cover the ground, pretty and white,

The birds fly south in their ritual flight.

Ghost, goblins and spooks soon will be here,

In their little hearts they show no fear.

This will give way to the season of thanks,

There will be love and laughter and no more pranks.

Then it will be time for that special season,

Where love and giving really have no reason.

Where we all come together as one,

To celebrate the birth of God’s only Son.

We’ll give to one another because we care,

We’ll give to one another, our love to share.

Before the smells of Christmas can pass away,

We’ll start the year anew on New Years Day.

Before you know it school will be out,

Children will be everywhere, out and about.

Then after the long, hot, muggy summer days,

The early morning sky will have a foggy haze.

The air will turn crisp, cool and clean,

The world will lose its cover of green.

Once again she’ll walk through the forest of wood,

Sit on a stump and dream of summer if she could.
