The first 500 mile marathon run got off to a kind of a slow start this Mother's Day weekend. The race coordinating officials who took years to map out this grueling course were very disappointed to say the least so the least has to be said.
The 500 mile course starting in Central Park in Manhattan, New York City would take runners out East on the Long Island Expressway (where runners could use the high occupancy vehicle (HOV ) lane then South to various highways and roads passing the exclusive homes of the rich and famous in an area known as the Hamptons then East to the very tip of Long Island known as Montauk Point ....(whew)
and then back running past the beaches of Long Island and Queens and Brooklyn , quick bite, perhaps, at Nathan's in Coney Island then into the lost borough ,Staten Island , running through tunnels and bridges into Da Bronx, another quick bite of Animal Crackers at the zoo, then meandering through specially select neighborhoods and back into Manhattan touring the East side, West side, all around the town and finally back unto Central Park where this epic 500 mile race began.
However, when the race started, no one showed up. Officials think that perhaps 500 miles was a tad too far to run.
With the recent number of firings and resignations in the White House, another well known name has decided to call it quits at the end of the month.
Emeritus Kelly, the Speaker of the Circus and Supreme Court jester will be leaving the closely knit group surrounding President Trump. Emeritus was quoted as saying," A dirty clown is ridiculously clean when standing amongst politicians. "
President Trump's first choice to replace Emeritus,.(Emmett as he's called ), was Clarabell, the clown. But Clarabell declined saying that Speaker of the Circus would be too demanding as he is still suffering from seltzer poisoning.
It appears Ronald McDonald will vacate his Big Mac empire to do his McRibbing in the White House. Bozo the clown will be waiting in what's left of the West Wing if Ronald cannot fill those big shoes. The Donald and Ronald team is expected to begin on July 1
