Blessings to you this Friday. My page right now is all about winter and family but today let's take a road trip.
All my life has been about cars. My dad was a Plymouth, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep car dealer for 50 years. Roadtrips were always a part of that life. Do you have trips to reminisce about?
Growning up with 500 acres I learned to ride motorcycles at a young age. My favorite motorcycle road trip with Rbt was from Portland, OR down the coast on highway 101 around Crater Lake back up Hwy 97 through Bend and back to Portland. Wayne and Evelyn were on that trip with us. What memories!
I love roadtrip along the coast lines. Many, many years ago, Rbt and I traveled the coast line of California on Hwy 1. We went through Pebble Beach and made a stop at Carmel Beach. That was such a SHOCK to Rbt that the water was so cold. Texas coast has warm water and NO wetsuits needed.
While I don't like the cold weather, I have traveled to Banff in Canada and seen the biggest snow flurries on Mount Hood in Washington, again many years ago. It is beautiful to look at but I still can't understand how people live in such cold. I love the entire State of Texas!
A small car is fun to zip around town in, we had a Mini Cooper for a while, but I will always be a "MUSCLE CAR" girl at heart and no matter what I drive, I love driving fast.
I wish I had gotten my Grandparents VW bus from Oakland, CA and had turned it into something like this 40 years or so ago. What fun traveling around and sharing books with others would be. I hope you have enjoyed the roadtrip and the vehicles and will explore a trip of your own soon. Blessings & Hugs! Pam

Good Evening June, it is 42 and was 43, but it sure seemed colder than that. To bad I have no one to take to lunch, where my sister lives is a retirement center so she has things to do there. No rain today, but here in Junction City, cloudy all day, 5 miles north in Harrisiburg, when I went to eat at 3:30 p.m. the sun was out. A nice thing today I pulled out my Brother-in-law's Cd Frank Griffith Big Bands, and was playing that in the car. He is a Sax player and over in England, London he taught Jazz at Burnel University for 22 years. He still plays around and does private teaching. My wife came from a high quailty music family. Her one sister playing piano, (grand) and her brother Frank Griffith does the Sax. Joyce did the violin her mother use to play the piano and teach it, her Dad did the guitar, panjo. They never did have a TV, so they played music and that is why they were all so good at it. Here other sister did the clainet. Well tomorrow a full week of Jan. will be done. Time is marching on. Have a great day June. Bro. Doc
