It's a beautiful sunny day here today, had my appt with the orthopedic doctor, she wants me to have another MRI of my knee, which I have scheduled for tomorrow evening at 6, she said if she had seen that MRI from last year, she would have done the surgury on my meniscus then! I go back to her on Tuesday, so we'll see what the new MRI shows, and she'll decide what kind of work needs to be done, but it will probably be done with only a laporscope (sp) and then physical therapy...YEA!
We eat Tacos even on Thanksgiving week! Especially since we have to run to an appointment before lunch. It will be an early morning because of construction and traffic.
Everyone in our area is out of school all week. So all the girls are getting together just to hang and have fun.
All the squirrels are out shopping for all the ingredients that they will need for a Thanksgiving day feast.
This is so me. I can cook a simple meal but it is NOT my strength... Now eating on the other hand, that is something I love to do!
I am a pretty good shopper too. I would rather be outside helping than inside cooking!
Where the heck did the weekend go? I hope yours was peaceful and relaxing! Wishing you joy, smiles and lots of sunshine in your heart! Sue, we are getting more rain very early tomorrow morning. Toady we have the most beautiful sky. Early is was a beautiful orange and now it is clear blue without a cloud.
Hi Sue! we enjoyed an early thanksgiving meal at my daughter's and son-n-laws house yesterday. we had a whole fried turkey and a smoked turkey breast, it had some kind of jalapeno sauce over it, but it wasn't hot or spicy, both were really good, and of course, lots of sides to choose from, green bean casserole, sweet potatoe casserole, homemade dressing, cranberry sauce and rolls...for dessert, a chosing of apple, and pumpkin pie, and pumpkin cheesecake bars...that's what we all ended up eating for dessert, the cheesecake bars, they were soo good! we just stayed a couple of hours, had a great visit with my grandson and his girlfriend. Had to drive home on country roads in the dark...LOL that part was scary, watching out for deer.. we did bring home a plate for today...so we're set....oink oink... I mean.. gobble til we wobble...LOL!
Hi Sue! we're having our Thanksgiving get-together this afternoon at my daughters & son-n-law's house, my grandson and his girlfriend will be there..(he's a cop, so he'll be working on Thanksgiving day) my son-n-law will be deep frying the turkey! I'm so excited!
Hello friends, its a busy time of year for us all. Such a busy week for me so haven't been keeping up with comments. Have a blessed holiday with family and friends. 💛💚
Wednesday and here come the before and after pictures. We are so excited not to have blinds and solar screens in and on the windows anymore. The 16 layers of insulation not only keep the outside temperature out and the inside temp in, but the house is so much more quiet.
This is the dining room with the sheer curtains put back up. I love being able to see out into the front yard through them. It is much more elegant than it was with the same sheers.
This is the guest room or Wendy's room, hehehe! It is so bright and cheerful and really no one can see in it. And the master bedroom is like a sun room during the day! I love to walk into it.
The master bathroom has the "rain" window on it and you can't see in or out of it. When the sun shines on it, it sparkles! We love it!
The computer room is my favorite room to look out of during the day or night and also to look at from the front of the house. The way they changed it makes it look so much larger and more appealing.
Of course this is also my favorite place! I love looking out from the kitchen or my chair in the living room. And I love being out in the yard and looking back at the house. Remember, you are invited to join us!
Good Morning this Tuesday! Our project is over. We have wonderful neighbors that shared their son's side business with us. Viewpoint Exteriors put in new windows for us. The deal was too good to pass up.
These two young men changed out our 18 windows in a day and a half. They were very considerate of our dogs and us. They cleaned before, during and after the installation of each window.
The reason it was a huge project for us is that we had to remove the blinds from each of the windows and that also meant moving furniture away from in front of each window so they had room to work.
Yes, we pushed & pulled most of the furniture in the house around before they got there and we also climbed on ladders and carried heavy (to us they were heavy) blinds out of the house.
Rbt was talking to Branden as he was caulking the windows and noticed that he would smear the caulk off his fingers onto the window. My hubby thought this nice young man had lost his mind. Then he realized the film hadn't been removed yet.
The end results were well worth the days of preparation it took us and the days after to get furniture inside and plants outside put back in place. But our bodies may not agree with that quite yet. More to come tomorrow.
I hope you enjoy today Sue, it's a sunny morning for us so far, a "chance" of rain this coming Wed/Thurs.. keeping our fingers crossed because we have been so dry...
