appearance on film.
Catherine Annette Hanshaw was an American Jazz Age singer. She was
one of the most popular radio stars of the late 1920s and early 1930s,
with many of her most notable performances taking place on NBC's Maxwell
House Show Boat. Over four million of her records had been sold by
1934, following the peak of her popularity.
In her ten-year recording career, she recorded about 250 sides. In a
1934 poll conducted by Radio Stars magazine, she received the title of
best female popular singer. Second place went to Ethel Shutta, third
place went to Ruth Etting, and fourth place went to Kate Smith.
I hope you’re all having a great evening, wherever you are. As the day winds down, I wish you a peaceful and restful night when the time comes to call the day out. May the new week ahead be gentle, kind, and filled with good moments, positive energy, and small blessings along the way. Wishing each of you a truly blessed week
I’m truly loving this winter season here in Florida. While we may not have snow-covered landscapes, we’re blessed with the most beautiful weather—bright sunshine, gentle breezes, and those perfect mid-70s temperatures that make every day feel like a gift. It’s the kind of weather that invites you to slow down, step outside, and simply enjoy the moment. I’m savoring it all and really hoping this gorgeous stretch lasts a long, long time.
I also hope all my friends are having a lovely, peaceful Sunday wherever you are.
