The new year is like a walk.

The path lies open before us,

sometimes sunny, sometimes winding.

We can stop to catch our breath, take detours,

or venture down new paths.

Not every step has to be perfect

the important thing is that we take it consciously.

Because in the end,

our steps shape the path we have walked.

I wondered if you were getting rain.  My kids are in Seattle last week and this week.  Landing in all that rain but I did get a couple of pictures of them without the rain.

Much colder here tonight..27. We've had sporadic temps for a few days. It was 79 on Christmas Day. As we enter a new year, I suppose winter weather will finally return permanently. We had ham, green beans, deviled eggs, and potatos on Christmas.
