Good evening Darlene...How ya doing? Things are ok here...one day at a time like everyone else..lol...hope you sleep well and wake to a good day tomorrow...
What a long, hot day..going to be hotter tomorrow. May as well get use to it. We are leaving Friday for TN/VA. It will be hot there as well. But plan on getting a lot of sightseeing done. Our hotel is near a lot of cool places..and that nest coffee shop I had mentioned before. It is waking distance of the hotel. June is sure ending on a hot note. I'm sure July is going to be even warmer..it sure was last year. How's things looking there?
Hi, Darlene! I didn't explain that well, did I. "Before", @NOTH, when someone left me a comment it showed up in my guestbook until I removed it myself. "Now"... when someone leaves a comment, it automatically disappears from view from my page AND my guestbook. @NOTH I could keep my guestbook cleaned out as I returned comments, but here, @boomers, there's no way I can afford to sit here that long, going thru them one by one to remove them.. So, I've been viewing the comments from "my account" and that's just too much trouble, very inconvenient. So I think I'll go back to the old way, let all the comments stay visible and just let'em hang out, not attempting to keep them cleared out. It's VERY much less private, but whoever leaves me a comment should not write anything they don't want others to see, as it'll no longer be hidden from everyone. I hope that makes more sense, pal! *hugs*

Trying to get some comments left around boomers. Mighty slow at it since using this way of keeping others' as they come in. Unsure if it's a keeper-of-a-way to do it or not.
Dear Di - I didn't understand this part of your comment.. Don't know what you mean by keeping people in.. I don't wear my brain out by sending out mass comments to a lot of people.. I always remember something that Mona (Your Choice) said once.. She called herself a 'wordy person' and said that words meant more to her than pictures.. I understand what she meant.. I'm that way too.. Most people (that I seen on this site) are only interested in swapping pictures (not being friends). I don't waste my time or energy on those kind of members.. Oh, I like your Beach Boy song.. Was just a little kid of 9 or 10 when it was popular, but I've always liked it.. I Can Hear Music, Di *hugs*
'Afternoon, dear Darlene. I'm glad you're on ABs now. As you said, that's about all that will knock out that stuff. Noooo, don't eat watermelon. While I love its pretty Christmas colors, can't stand the smell/taste since OD'g on it when a small child. But I did eat salt w/it then. Trying to get some comments left around boomers. Mighty slow at it since using this way of keeping others' as they come in. Unsure if it's a keeper-of-a-way to do it or not. ha Keep on improving, dear friend. *hugs*

Hello Dear Di -- Summer is such a nasty word in my vocabulary.. Maybe yours too :) I went to the Doc on Wednesday and of course, knew I was getting an antibiotic.. Not much else to prescible for these respiratory illnesses.. I've noticed some improvement, but this darn stuff seems to hang on forever.. Still have another 5 days of meds left, so I'll see what happens.. Thank you for asking.. Do you like watermelon? When I do have watemelon, I like to shake some salt on it.. The only thing I don't care for are those dang seeds.. You're probably glued to your a/c, just like I am :) Your friend - Darlene xx
good afternoon Darlene! I hope you've had a great weekend! My step daughter came down from OK for the weekend, we had a wonderful visit with her. We wished they lived closer so we could see her and her family more often...
Good afternoon, dear Darlene. How are you feeling today... what did the doc say/give to you? Have a relaxing weekend, pal. Will check back in. Many *hugs* -di
good morning Darlene! summer officially starts today, sure wished we had a pool, I'd be doing exactly what this graphic is doing...jumping in! LOL!
I decided to wait outside for our garbage collecting, 3 member crew to come by, to personally thank them for their hard work, and to give each of them a bottle of Gatorade, and a nutrition bar...they were very appreciative...that's a hard, dirty job, they come even on the hottest of days...or rainy or snowy days..it's a job that not too many people are willing to do.
good morning Darlene! I hope you have a cherry of a day! I just thought these cherries were so pretty, I wanted to share. Today would have been my mom's 102nd birthday, I'm going to put roses on her grave.
Hi Darlene. So sorry to learn you have been unwell with Bronchitis. Oh, that’s nasty. I’m pleased that you are gradually getting better. Are you on antibiotics? You should be to bring that cough under controll. When I had pneumonia last year my chest was so painful from the consistant coughing. It was when I was prescribed antibiotics that coughing gradually ceased. Yes, I can imagine how your feeling drained and worn out. I find that the flu & colds seem much more severe during the summer or warm weather. The temp here today is sliding between 39 and 53*. We are still wanting some good heavy falls of rain. Oh there’s been some over the past few weeks but mostly the days are damp with a fine mist that is useless for the land. Not a good start to Winter. I do hope you continue to feel much better Darlene.Take good care. Hugs* Pat.
Summer is just a couple days away. Do you grow veggies each year, Darlene? Flowers? We used to enjoy our okra, cabbage and maters, but no more. *hugs* -di
hello Darlene I hope you're enjoying the morning! It's a beautiful sunny morning in my part of Texas....but...it's going to be hot later, but compared to August temps, this will be a comfy day!
we're happily having a rainy day today! good part, besides getting the yard watered, it also made the day COOLER! I hope it stays this way the rest of the day! How is your Father's day Sunday going Darlene?
