Hey, Darlene. It's cooled down a good bit in the mornings, but still approaching 80º in the afternoons. "They" say a cold front is coming Sunday. We'll see... I believe little. ha. Oak trees are all around us, but our "noise-maker" is a mockernut hickory outside our bedroom, beside the side porch awning. Lawsy, I know what you mean about the abrupt bangs! I've resumed my downsizing again after being off that task for a year. It feels good to get going on it, even if in small attempts. happy Friday to you! We finally had a rain storm roll through this morning, at 2:33 a.m. got 1/2" of rain! We've been so dry, it was just a tease! This evening, we could get between 1 and 3" of rain...HOPEFULLY we'll get an inch...keeping our fingers crossed for more rain!
I have a busy day ahead, been up since 2:30 with my sick fur baby, Cassie. She's feeling a little better now, I hope my energy holds up while I get everything done...have a wonderful day Darlene!
Hi Darlene. Oh I did wonder about the page not showing. I had an incident/mystery occour yesterday while working on my pumkon page. I still can't work out what actually happened but the gist is the folder I use for all my layouts with Postimage just disappeared. It was there one moment and gone the next!!!. Never happened before and a very important folder. Best I could do is make a new one and start all over again. I can tell you I said a few 'choice words':). Check my page now and see if it works for you. It looks OK to me. Thanks for letting me know.
Currently 68. We got rain last night..not a lot, but it was welcomed. Looks like tomorrow, 78. Then a cooling pattern returns bringing mid 60's by the weekend. It's been a lazy day here. Tomorrow, a scheduled blood donation at 1230. I've got a few more errands as well. We saw Marie yesterday. Most of her family was out of town. I'll be going back to see her mid week. We had gotten her some sea shells while in vacation. The container I ordered for them came late yesterday. She's down to 110 pounds.
I hope you have had a great weekend so far! we have been catchinig up on our shows we recorded, "9-1-1 Nashville", "Fire Country", and "Sheriff Country"...now I'm worn out! LOL!
We are home. Got here around 1:15 pm. Traffic was not bad at all, but we left early..8:00 am. Stopped to gas up the car and then breakfast. Everything is put up. JB met us on the front porch. Pepper was on the back steps. They ate and took off. Greymar will probably show up tonight. Back to the old routine..
Good Morning, Melinda. We don't have any oak trees, but we do have pecan trees in our back yard. They not only make a mess of the yard, but many of them fall onto the sundeck, and are very noisy falling on a windy day. The squirrels don't mind coming up onto the sundeck. They are quite bold and go where the treats are lying about , like it is meant for them,

I'm sure there are many places that serve fish specials on Fridays around here, Hubby works on Friday's 2 to 8 pm...he's off on the weekends so if we eat out, it would be then. My step daughter is coming tomorrow, to spend the night, we'll go out to eat either lunch or dinner, depending on the time she arrives here, (she lives in Norman OK), my hubby is wantiing a good chicken friend steak, so we'll be going to a place called "R & K Cafe" it's less than 2 miles from our house. I'll make our other meals....

We walked a mile last night on the beach after supper last night. I slept like a rock. Going to visit the Surfside beach pier today..it 1.7 miles down from condo. It's right across the street from our favorite seafood place..which we will be visiting again tomorrow. Cooler temps have moved in..suppose to be 49 tonight. Here, we will see 71 today. The week is going by too fast, but it always does on vacation. Enjoy the day ahead..
Hey Darlene. Firstly, a Belated Birthday wish. I had meant to message you on the day but got distracted and missed. I do hope you had a lovely day and were thoroughly spoilt:). Re the roses layout, thanks for the nice words. It has been a work in progress that I’ve just finished today and yeah! I’m pleased with the way it has turned out. I’m a little different in that I prefer the simple pages minus the distractions/gimmicks. But that’s just me:). It’s not exactly spring colours but near enough for me without looking odd here amongst the Halloween pages so I’ll set it up soon.
I had my second Shingles vacination Tuesday afternoon and had quite a reaction yesterday. Basically I did nothing all day as felt quite ill. Awoke this morning feeling much better.
Geesh! I dispair at our weather bureau as they predicted rain was to fall in our area all day. Result blue sunny skies until about 4pm when the odd spot fell, hardly showing on the cement. Actually as I write this message, I’m thinking I can hear thunder in the distance. Sure would welcome a good downpour. It’s just on 9pm and I’m about ready to close down for the night. No, we're still working that puzzle, it's about half way done. The other Halloween puzzle is cute too, hadn't found any scary ones, hubby probably wouldn't like doing those anyway.
