Jellybean is good, spoiled as ever. He comes inside throughout the day for rest breaks from the sun. We use Fresh Step too. Because they stay outside most of the time, we don't go through a lot of cat litter. Looks like rain on a Friday. Todsy it s 75 and sunny. Had overcast skies earlier...
I hope you enjoy your day Darlene! I had gotten behind in some of my outdoor chores, so yesterday, I decided to check my bird bath, it was so full of mosquitoes larvae, little wigglers, it looked like hundreds in there! I dumped that old water out and cleaned it really good!
Hello Melinda. What a cute theme. I like it. I have tried getting help from a chiropracter, but it just didn't work for me. Other treatments, like injctions, physical therapy and surgery followed by physical therapy were more helpful.
My Monday was nice Yesterday Sunday i spent time in back of the garage getting the dirt off the boards. Next i had to start scraping as much as i could . After that i sanded the sreas that were scraped off and then give it a good cleaning over just one more time and now i was set for today Monday.
I also got all that i was going to use all set and ready to roll .
I got out there 8:30 this morning and i spent time paining with a roller the garage .
I was short just two board panels up on top and the roof part. So i have to wait now until i get to my store again .
Those two panels and the top part wont take long at all.But ill have to wait .
It was a beautiful day today high of only 74 so it was still in the upper 60`s .
So ill wait no big thing .I got a big job done. I have a couple areas i wrote down so i remember to retouch also . Was outside for around 40 minutes and came in . Then i had to shave just incase i do get to go to Walgreens.
It`s supposed to rain.If it is not raining or stopped raining ill get over there.
Lets get to the good part the pierogies.
My mom and dad had those at certain times at a restaurant.
But she never made them.
The name seems fishy are they a fish food?
Ill go do a search and see .
Prices were so cheap remember when we was younger.

I loved writing letters. Penpals in other countries, a friend who moved away, letters to a college boyfriend, letters sent home when I was in college. I still have a callus on my right index finger--years of English teacher comments on students' papers. Retired in 2018 before they insisted we comment/check papers wholly online.

Hi Darlene! I can't believe that July is just around the corner now! I will be changing my page to reflect the 250th birthday of America over the next few days, gotta think on it, it's a very special July 4th, so I want to honor that!
David is doing good. He has a follow up appt this Friday. His cardio therapy continues thru the end of July. I've been going with him to just be there for support. I also enjoy talking to the staff. One nurse, Sonny, she's there every Tuesday evening. She's very energetic and loves to talk. I would trade if I could on traveling anywhere here. Would rather live outside of any city limit. Fingers crossed it will become reality in a few years.
Hope your week is off to a good start. I have a consult today before getting my regular back shot. It's tedious' however, insurance insists so off I go to tell the doc 'yes my back is killing me since the last shot in March but it's improved overall since I started the shots in late 2022.'
Well Darlene i had to get something that looked real nice.I bet many will grab that one as well .
I do not like the 4th either cause the kid i have across the way feels like hes in a competition to be the last one shooting. But ill manage. Its strange how i also had a dropbox issue just when this also happened .so it was just a coincidence with my problem and the layout acting slow
The temperature dropped down to 67 opened up the doors to cool things down.
There's always roadwork here it seems like. They've been installing new gas lines along the blvd. I had to get in the middle of that last week when I went to the grocery store. My chiropractor is in the same direction, so will probably be a repeat again next Thursday when I go to my next appt. But there is a back way in to their office. I'll probably take that route instead. It's just a mile and a half from our house.
What are your plans? Mine are simple--if it's raining, enjoy being cozy inside at the kitchen table & looking outside as the grass, trees & plants are nourished; if it's sunny, head to our metropark for a walk on a trail.
Hi Darlene. Love your countdown to september. Well, the first week has almost gone. There’s quite a few more to go:). After taking some strong pain relief tabs and using a heat patch on my back I got out into the front garden this afternoon and tackled the weeds. After the good rains of the past few days the ground is moist/soft making the task so much easier. There’s still more to do tomorrow and if I’m able I want to plant bulbs in several areas now its clean. All the shrubs need cutting back too but I may need help with that. I’m so tired this evening I don’t feel like getting supper so will take a pre meal from the freezer. But first to get Muffy his supper. He keeps staring at me and wondering what I’m doing sitting here instead of getting his supper.
Next time I’m at the supermarket I’ll look for those pierogies. If they aren’t in the one I shop at now I’ll ask my daughter to look in the other one which is much larger. Oh yes, I’ve got that new toaster under control now. I like the fact that you only need toast one slice of bread at a time. (the other side doesn’t work if no bread in it). Yes, I often use my slow cooker. It’s getting old but still does the job. I use my credit card online for specific items but not clothing or shoes. Sizes are different with brands and I couldn’t be bothered returning them if they don’t fit. Much rather do this at the store. So many of the bank branches are closing in the rural areas now. These city folk have no respect or concern for people living in the country regions. Well, now I’ve had a rest I’m off to get supper for us both. Chat again soon. Hugs ~Pat~
I hope your Friday is a good one Darlene...can't believe the weekend is about to start already! LOL! I love these old jars...I use a pink despression sugar bowl, (no lid though so I got it cheap) for a container to hold my Splenda packets. I start to hate this time of the summer, because June is the start of the hottest part of the year for us...so I'm with you on counting down to the fall months!
