Hi Darlene. Sitting here this afternoon on the lounge chair with Muffy squeezed in beside me. He insists on doing that even tho’ his chair is next to mine with much more room. Such a clingy little fellow. It’s semi overcast but quite humid again. I went to the Probus Club Group this morning (Probus Club members meet monthly, to enjoy the company of like-minded fellow retirees and listen to interesting guest speakers. Make new friends,etc.). Caught up with friends. And back home by12.30. Also went to the Scrabble group yesterday afternoon and won both games which was surprising as I had shocking letters to deal with. Scrabble is weekly whereas Probus is monthly.
I called into the Garden Nursery on my way home and bought a weather Station that measures rain, temps, direction of wind. Now all I have to do is assemble it. It shouldn’t be too difficult. Also got some Anemone and Ranuculi bulbs and double daffodil bulbs. I’ll need to soak the ground before I plant them as its quite dry. That will make a nice splash of colour in spring.
Is your weather still cool. Well, I best go make some supper and feed Muffy. Hugs
Hi Darlene , It would be nice if Summer did decide to order a set of them .
She has a lot of people always visiting.
It sure turned out to be a crummy day as i had intentions to d start painting my garage . It was supposed to of started raining later on in the afternoon but it came down earlier than expected.
.So i will start tomorrow.
I rodded the bathtub instead today got the water going down much faster
I just realized I've been a member of My Boomer Place one year yesterday....I am so grateful to be here, making new online friends, and being with old ones from the other place...Thank you for your friendship! Thank you My Boomer Place for all the fun I've had over the past year!
Hello Melinda. Can't say I've ever been to a coffee house. I don't drink coffee in any form. I have eated a loaded baked potato before. That's a potato that is a meal by itself with all the add-ons to it. Have a lovely Sunday. We are hoping for rain that is in the forecast.
It's raining here, finally..we dropped from 90 down to 78 fairly quickly..around 6 pm. Prob won't have a lot of accumulation, but it's a welcome sight.
I finally got me a set of 3 lb hand weights and a few resistance bands today Darlene! I am planning on starting to use them tomorrow, or maybe Monday...LOL! I hope you enjoy the weekend, my friend!
Hi Darlene. Yes, I like this layout and will save it for future use. Keep trying to come up with different coloue schemes and ideas. It's been a busy week so not here very much. Love the rose on your page. Guess they are breaking out in flower your way soon. Will catch up later. ~Hugs~
We had a good trip to the Amish store. They did have cured ham and bacon, we bought one pack of bacon. Got butter, jellies (no sugar), bread & butter pickles, vidalia onion relish, and h7bby got a small container of honey. The store was packed..lots of people there..a small parking lot. Next time, I hope we can go in a weekday. We came straight home afterwards. Yes, I opened up your email. But trying to stay away from political stuff.
Oh that’s neat Darlene. Just when you think you won’t see anymore snow until next winter. I love these old stories from our parents and grandparents era. Sadly these are the types of unique sayings etc that are dissapearing. Well they are in my country. I was so intrigued by the term that I googled it and I’ll message you with what I found. You probably already know this information.
Folks NW of us in the mountains saw snow flurries yesterday. It did cool down a bit here. We woke up to 40 degrees, one more chilly night..then back to the mid 80's on Wed. No, never heard that expression about onion snow, but I can understand it. We get those small green onions here every few years. We still need rain, better chances they're saying toward end of the week. Enjoy the new week.
Hello Melinda. I've seen spring snow, especially when I lived in a suburb of Buffalo , New York; but never heard it called "onion snow." That's an interesting name for it.
That other looks like a map of some countries with blue water lol :)
Well today i had two pieces of chicken and a can of Black beans for fiber.
Most days i usually have eggs or salads.
I was busy setting things up downstairs incase i get a little water again .
This time things will be better and faster.
I took out my wet vac out of the box and will keep out from now on .I like eggs and at times ihave it with mixed peppers or tuna fish .
I always have 5 eggs very healthy .
Did you know that on February 28th this year when
we set out to go and bomb Iran that 5 Biblical prophecies were fulfilled .They do not speak about this because they do not understand .Powerful and true video
We are seeing things beginning to take place right before our eyes .
Learned a couple things i never knew.
Im offering the video to you if you are interested just to let me know.
It reached close to 80 today not too bad.Saturday our high is to be just 54
What you ordered sounded good except that sour cream lol
Hello Melinda. I wish you a happy weekend too. We're looking for a Saturday in the low 90s followed by Sunday in the mid 60s. That's springtime in NC---rapid overnight change.
Hi. Not sure what happening with the text in my message however I'm using a new word programme and that could be the cause. Weird but I'll work it out:) ~Hugs~
Hi Darlene. I see by my world map it’s after midnight your way so am assuming your online and on checking found your message:). Days and weeks go by so fast. There are times I wish it would slow down so I can catch up. Our weather continues to hover in the 70’s but it seems will rise to the high 80’s next week. Guess it’s allowing us a nice warm spell before the wet cold days of winter arrive. That’s typical autumn weather for here. Muffy is recovering well from his surgery last week to remove the lump on his neck/upper chest. He also had one tooth removed that also required stitches. He had the last of his medication this morning and such an easy boy to give it too not like little Channie who would clench her jaws so tight that even the Vets had difficult in administering it and she was smart enough to know if it was disguised in her food. There is to be a Autumn Garden festival to be held at the local Show Grounds next month. I would love to go and browse around the plants etc but unfortunately not possible as I can’t walk far now mores the pity. Oh well, I guess I won’t be coming home with loads of plants that I haven’t the space for anyway:). Schools are on vacation now for two weeks. My daughter has taken her caravan over to the coast for the time to relax, catch up with friends and do a spot of fishing. I’ve taken a Chicken Kiev out of the freezer plus a slice of apricot pie to have for supper. There’s custard and fresh cream in the fridge to add to the pie. I’ve been making a variety of pages as spares for future use. I keep thinking of different ideas during the night. Some work but others don’t:). Now I had best do some vacuuming before it gets too late. Hugs ~Pat~
