The weather has finally been nice the past few days, and without any rain... feels like summer is finally on its way... which I long for I love the summer weather, I have to work later today, but looking forward to being off tomorrow and hoping for another nice day, so I can enjoy some time outside in the sun... been a busy morning for me already, took a short walk to try out my new tennis shoes, visited with a neighbor lady, pulled some weeds in the back yard, read a chapter in my library book, and now I'm doing laundry...still don't know what I'm going to make us for lunch...I hope your Saturday is a happy one..
Waiting on rain once again..thunderstorms moving in shortly...lingering through this evening. Looks like next week 90's. Of course, summer officially arrives soon. It's been a quiet week here. I did have a few errands this morning. Got those done and back home by 11:30 am. Enjoy your day -:)

I wasn't off on Wed this week, I have today off, so I did sleep in... LOL... going to be a lazy day for me, I was off on Mon as well and did laundry and all things that I needed to get done, so today a lazy day... LOL... and the weather looks great finally no rain will be spending some time outside today enjoying the sun... Have a wonderful day!

finally got my book from the library, "The Emperor of Gladness"...I saw some great reviews about it...but it's a very different type of book from what I'm used to reading. I hope your Wednesday will be a happy one Darlene!
I hear ya re: summer in the South... there's few places on earth more miserable w/humidity, heat, and long, looong days. I have snow pics on my phone from 2010 and go back and look at them thru the summer. I 'think' I can smell the snow. ha I wish we were closer to Fall now, but we'll both be suffering a long while yet. Apart from that, I'm still asking that Proverbial question: "Where did the weekend go?" :) Merry Monday, dear Darlene! *hugs*

I have always loved my hair short, so much easier to take care of... I loved the temps in Vegas, and the heat didn't bother me at all there, it being a dry heat I didn't notice that it was so hot! I could live there, LOL... I'm getting so I can't stand the winters here and it seems like summer is never coming here, the temps and all the rain that we have been having this year. I do have to work today... have to be there at 7am till 5pm Wishing you a Peaceful day!
The weekend is here...a muggy one too. Got the yard cut this morning..and of course more rain is in the horizon. We will see 90 today. It was a semi busy week. Don't think we have much planned this weekend. Hope all is good your way... -:)

Hi, Darlene) How are you? Today has been sorta nice & sunny, but the thermometer on side porch sez 90º, and that's 's-i-c-k'. 'Weather" due @5P, so hopefully the rain & darkness will lower the temp. I voted. Yeah, it was a more difficult format than what we're used to. Glad you persevered, pal. I'm sure you got it done. We struggled thru shopping yesterday evening, and it was a tall order. Three wks had gone by since last grocery visit and we were out of abt everything. Then bringing in from car in hot, humid air... ugggh. It wore us both out. Why can't it be going into winter now??? Take care of you and DH, and I hope you're not in line of the bad stuff. They're talking high winds and hail again tonight & tomorrow. Be safe! *hugs*

I went to Vegas with my daughter, we had a great time and would do it again. We did do alot of walking during the day, sight seeing, all the different sights on the strip, have you ever been to Vegas?
Getting on here late..had so much to do today. Now it's time for supper..will probably be leftovers. We hit 85 today. Got laundry done and it's hanging out on line. Should be dry by now. Welcome June.
moving slow this morning, a lizard got in my hair last night, LOL YES, that's true....I woke up at 1:30 a.m. feeling something crawling on my head, reached up and grab it, thought it may be a grasshopper, threw it across the room, got up, turned on the bathroom light, found the critter, it was a gecko! he ran like lightening, got inside a hall closet that is right ourside our bedroom entry. So, I got him trapped in there...couldn't go back to sleep trying to figure out how a dang lizard (gecko) got into our bedroom, and not noticed by either of our 2 dogs, and they were on tthe bed with us! The lizard has been caught and released...
