Hopefully your westher will clear up and you can dine out. My sister-in-law gave us a Cracker Barrel gift card. We have 2 locations close by..the one in Charlotte is probably where we will go. Not sure when, but it's nice to have it. We will see 75 degrees on Saturday. Suppose to return to the 40's by Tuesday..rain on Monday. December is going out with a bang no doubt.

Yes, I like yellow mustard and honey mustard. My favorite cheeses are sharp cheddar, Muenster, and Gouda. I made a grilled ham n cheese today for lunch. We haven't had a tree up in several years. Just no room here, but have used table top trees before. Now that Inhave a sofa table in den, I'll use it next year for a table top tree. I'm going to buy ine after Christmas since everything will be on sale.

Hi Darlene!   what a crazy week it's been so far and it's only Tuesday! LOL! update on my knee, today, I went back to the doctor for my post-op checkup, she was very pleased with my progress. She said the stitches needed to stay in for a few more days, but with Christmas this week, I will go back on Tuesday Dec 30th to not only get the stitches out, but to also start physical therapy. She also told me after seeing my knee from the inside, I will probebly need a total knee replacement in about 5 yrs, give or take..
We had to take my computer to the computer hospital yesterday morning,  after keeping it overnight, with no word, we stopped by the shop after my doctor's visit this afternoon, to find out what's going on (we did call once yesterday late afternoon, it still needs a new battery, which THEY said would take another 3 weeks, we decided I would bring it home as is. My hubby called another Apple verified repair shop to ask them about a battery, the hubby ended up taking my laptop there, he did a quick check, ordered the battery it needs, said it should be in his shop by Monday or Tuesday, he'd call us when he got the battery, we would bring my laptop to him and he should have it ready withiin a few hours. John even liked the people in this 2nd shop better, they took the time to talk WITH him, where the other shop worker didn't want to take the time for anything... I know this time of the year is busy and stressful, but that's a business, and John was the only person in that shop. SO, one day next week I won't have accesss of my computer for awhile.
I also posted an updated bulletiin about my brother-n-law, Robert, it was dire for a day.

Here we are, the week of Christmas, and our weather is getting ready to flip. The next 5 days..mid 70's. Monday, we'll return back to the 40's. It's crazy, but typical here. We always have a better chance of colder weather and snow chances in Jan/Feb. I've been cleaning and getting laundry caught up. We still need to get the gifts here wrapped up for my sister and her grandkids. We will drop them off tomorrow evening. Been enjoying the treats you sent. I love trying different cheeses. And the summer sausage with the cheese makes a wonderful snack. Do you have a favorite cheese?

I'm going to see if they're any hams on sale tomorrow. We plan on eating out, but ham makes good leftovers indeed. Spent most of the day cleaning and moving den furniture around. We finally got everything placed into the home office. Only item left will be a new wardrobe, and we will be buying one in a few weeks. Still have gifts to wrap up. David went to his department Christmas party today. He was home @ 2 pm. He's on vacation and doesn't return back to work till Jan 2.

Good Morning, Melinda. "Two furry little architects padded around their snowy masterpiece, giggling in tiny meows as the pressed a carrot into place. By the time they were done, the snowman was smiling proudly---mostly because the cats insisted he looked purrfect,"Story pin image

Good Morning, Melinda. We don't have the tree up or nativity scene on the fireplace mantal or the stockings hung with care, in hopes that Santa soon will be there. We're all just running behind schedule. Yet, we are almost done with our Christmas shopping. This year I'm giving gift cards..The first day of winter greets us without snow, but I know many people in the country are dealing with travel issues from snow.. It's on the news. This may contain: a white kitten wearing a knitted hat next to a coffee cup with the caption when life gives you a blizzard make coffee and watch the snow

Hi Darlene. Thanks for your welcome words. Yes I have been offline for a time. I do have health issues that interupt my lifestyle every so often. Not pleasant unfortunately.  Today is our lomgest day of daylight hours and tomorrow it's on the downhill run to the next winter season.  Unbelieveable how quickly the time goes.  Xmas just a few short days away too. I'm staying quietly at home this year. My daughter and Grandaughter are coming here Xmas eve and  spending a few hours. Will catch up with my son & family later.  I know how excited you get with Xmas. You will be sad when it's over.  I have been working on a Xmas page this afternoon but have been having problems with the Postimage site. Moght just do the basics and leave it at that.  Will try and catch up again soon.  Hugs Pat.

We visited Marie today,,got home at 430. Tomorrow is when we visit my sister. So a busy weekend. Looks like we will finish getting the file cabinet and clean up Monday. Sunday will be the shortest day of the year...the we will start gradually seeing longer days. December is such an anticipated month..we're so busy with schedules, etc..it goes by in no time.

Hello Summer - This is the last time I'll be saying Merry Christmas to you.. Next time I see you, it will all be over with.. I always get the 'after Christmas blues'.. Seems so sad when it's all over with - feels like an empty void.. I wish you luck in the Christmas contest.. I see that you're listed there.. Their way of voting seem odd to me (picking 3 members out of each class).. That's a whole pile of people.. Never did understand it.. hugs from Moongirl xx.. Hope you have a wonderful Christmas.. Good night

Hi Darlene! thanks so much for the good luck wishes on the contest. Yes, I'm able to walk short distances in the house, like the little things, no mopping or vacumning yet...LOL! I only needed the crutches to get from the car to the house.  My husband helped me after we got into the house. The swelling has gone down a lot, I kept ice on it every hour yesterday...seemed like it was that often anyway. I have to keep it elevated when I'm not walking...that's every hour too. I get take the big padding off my knee Saturday, and can take a real shower then. I've just been taking a sink bath, LOL...you know using a wash cloth, and soap, wash, rinse, rinse again, rinse again, then dry...That helps me not feel crudy...

Hi there Deb - Thanks for letting me know what happened.. Are you able to put weight on your leg? It doesn't look weight bearing to me.. Do you need help to walk, such as a walker? Wishing you luck in the Christmas page contest.. xx Darlene

A cold, rainy day here. Theyre saying heavier precipitation moves in by 4 pm. Of course by the weekend, we begin to warm back up. Going to fix chicken wings in the air fryer tonight. Made almond bread this morning, so I have bread ne for sandwiches. Been awake since 430 am, already yawning. I'll prob go to bed early this evening.

Hi Darlene! after a 4 hr delay yesterday, I finally got my knee surgery done, during my waiting time, my IV failed, not once but twice, the 3rd try, kept, and lasted through the surgery. Recovery wasn't as smooth as I thought it would be, I vomited 3 times..finially I was allowed to go home, an hour drive, through constructiion and stop and go traffic, gave me car sickness, and all that I went though kept me nausious well into the night, however, I did get a little bit good night's sleep!
The reason for the delay was the patient before me, his hip replacement took longer because of the very bad shape his hips were in... my surgeon took her time to make sure he was well taken care of and not rushed though...she did the same with me...Her first name is Grace...which fits her character so well..
I made me a scrambled egg this morning, first meal I've eaten since 5 :15 Tuesday evening...now hoping it doesn't upset my tummy... So sorry this is long, maybe it's too much info...LOL have a wonderful day my friend!

Sunny and currently 49 degrees. A lazy day here. Looked at the radar map this morning and all the snow looked like it's all in Canada. Of course here, we are expected to see 68 degrees on Christmas Day. Still having chilly nights. Jellybean and Greymar have been staying inside at night. Their soul mates I do believe. Enjoy the day ahead... -:)

Good Night, Melinda. Haven't seen "Polar Express," but do hope to see some of the new Christmas movies on the Hallmark Channel. Our tree is going up tomorrow, if all goes according to plan. This may contain: a white cat with blue eyes sitting on top of a red blanket next to a christmas tree

Hi Darlene! this is the puzzle we're working on now, it's called "Christmas at the Farm"..we're not doing them as fast as we had been LOL! too many health issues we're dealing with right now..

Pretty page!  Thanks for stopping by.  Hope all is well with you. Yes, getting used to needing a cane is a pain. Sigh.  if I want to 'walk for exercise' I use the actual walker.
