Happy Weekend, Darlene! Do y'all have plans? Maybe when it cools down & trees put their colorful dresses on we'll enjoy taking a ride thru the woods & neighborhoods. Darlene, I've just discovered today that when I click on "friends" in my account, you are NOT listed there. So all the comments I've sent thru this section to send multiple comments at a time, have not made it to you, and no telling who else. I feet badly about that, and glad I send a few via the regular one-on-one route to you. Maybe soon things will calm down w/DH & me, stay down, and I'll be better at comments. Take care, pal... *hugs* -di
yes, the puzzle is very different from what we usually do Darlene, but that one was on sale for 50% off... we buy almost any kind of puzzles that is that cheap..LOL! We finally got it finished today, we worked on it for a week, took us longer than normal, but that's OK cause it made us work our brains harder! LOL!
We will start a Halloween puzzle next, getting in the mood for that! Two of our neighbors up the street (across from each other) put up their Halloween decorations, last week! Last Saturday, when my son was coming to see us, he saw the giant skelton in the one yard, he came in our house going dang that's a big skeleton! LOL! That yard looks like a big cemetery, with iron fencing and a gate, and many tombstones...it's pretty cool looking for sure. The house across from it, just has a giant spider web with a giant black spider sitting in the web, the web is strung between the front porch and a tree. I hadn't seen anyone else decorate for Halloween or for fall yet either.
Hi Darlene! it's 7am here, so you're probably still asleep. This is the current puzzle we're working on..it's called "Burnt Bisduits and Beans"... and it's been a hard one, LOL! I have 3 Halloween puzzles that will start next week
I've been doing physical therapy for my foot, twice a week, It's better, but still painful, I go back to the podiatrist on Oct 8th, so hopefully by then the PT will have that tendon a whole lot better!
Mid week already..looks like 90 on Friday..summer seems to be hanging on..even though we're one day closer to Fall. Makes me wonder what Winter will bring.
I hope you have a wonderful Monday Darlene! my morning glories are finally blooming! this is the 2nd year of their growth, and back in the spring, the vines were so beautiful, but no blooms. Last year we had an great amount of flowers on the vines, but this spring/summer nothing...this morning I saw 3 flowers on the vines, just in time for fall! LOL!
Hi Darlene. That's a nice autum coloured page. I hope the temps are more pleasant now for you. It's saturday evening here now and won't be long before I close down for the night and off to bed with a good book. Come 9pm and my little dog Muffy sits at my feet staring at me until I indicate I'm getting ready for bed. Then he's happy:) Have a lovely day and a pleasant weekend. Hugs Pat.
Hello Melinda. I lived in the suburbs on a small residential lot. It was big enough for a house, a garage and a small back yard where one Weeping Willow tree stood.
I'm enjoying going around to all pages filled w/red, orange, yellow leaves, and other things "Autumn". I bet you are, too. All is good here, other than the heat wave. Yuck. Do you have plans this weekend? We don't, but nothing new about that:) Take care, li'l buddie... Happy Friday! *hugs* -di
I hope your Friday and weekend will be a happy one Darlene! I'm looking forward to seeing my son this weekend...he's in his 40's now, and lives about 45 min away, he works long hours...so I don't get to see him much anymore...I get to see my daughter a lot though, because she likes to take me with her when she goes out shopping! LOL!
Hi Darlene. Finally I’m here catching up. Quite busy last week and through the weekend and Monday with little time to spend here. Since then I’m feeling rather ‘washed out’. The weather has been humid and stormy and playing havoc with my back which does not help. Agh! I’m getting too old for this:).
Yes I did create a second page to experiement with layouts. I’ve made a few that I really like but have encountered a couple of problems that so far I can’t overcome. One in particular that I never had on the Hill. I can’t see or find what is causing it. I need to experiment more. I am using a pre-made layout here for now. It’s ok and will serve the purpose for now. Yes, we are in spring now and gardens etc are looking colourful. Winter was so mild and dry that going into spring does not seem much different this year. Usually winter is very wet dreery, cold and long. Not so this time.
I had gathered that you had a very hot summer with lots of humidity. That would have been very unpleasant. I know you feel the heat so would have suffered. I hope its improved now.
It was Fathers day here last Sunday and we all went to lunch at a Pub in a town 20 miles south. I had a roast Beef and vegetables with Yorkshire pudding followed by a lemon cheese desert. All very nice but the main serving was far too much so I had half put in a ‘takeaway’ for home. Had I told you that I no longer have the two little fur babies. My shadow, dear little Channie went to sleep on the 11th July. It was time for her to go as things were catching up and I did not want her to suffer. I had her cremated and she is back home with us again. Muffy & I miss her so very much. Will chat again. Hugs Pat.
Hope you're doing okay, Darlene. We're having another hot spell for foreseeable future. Ugh. So ready for cool air! Take care, pal. One day we'll be talking about cold days and snow?? I dearly love this layout.. always have. Love & *hugs* to you!
Here pumpkins start showing up very early...including the coffee creamers on store shelves. But hopefully by October the temps will continue to drop..Got fall decorations up today..
