woke up to a nice rainfall...makes for a gloomy morning, but that's OK we'll take any rain we can get! I hope you enjoy your day Darlene!

Good Morning, Melinda.

04/21/2026 01:31:47

Oh that’s neat Darlene.  Just when you think you won’t see anymore snow until next winter. I love these old stories from our parents and grandparents era. Sadly these are the types of unique sayings etc that are dissapearing. Well they are in my country. I was so intrigued by the term that I googled it and I’ll message you with what I found. You probably already know this information.

Folks NW of us in the mountains saw snow flurries yesterday. It did cool down a bit here. We woke up to 40 degrees, one more chilly night..then back to the mid 80's on Wed. No, never heard that expression about onion snow, but I can understand it. We get those small green onions here every few years. We still need rain, better chances they're saying toward end of the week. Enjoy the new week.

Hello Melinda. I've seen spring snow, especially when I lived in a suburb of Buffalo , New York; but never heard it called "onion snow." That's an interesting name for it.Story pin image

LOL I just thought this was funny and wanted to share!

04/17/2026 19:14:59

Ill take that first drink Darlene .

That other looks like a map of some countries    with  blue water lol  :)

Well today i had two pieces of chicken and a can of Black beans  for fiber.

Most days i usually have eggs or salads.

I was busy setting  things up downstairs incase i get a little water again .

This time things will be  better and faster.

I took out  my wet vac out of the box and  will keep out from now on .I like eggs  and at times ihave it with mixed peppers or tuna fish .

I always have 5 eggs very healthy .

Did you know that on February 28th this year when

we set out to  go and bomb Iran that  5  Biblical prophecies  were fulfilled .They do not speak about this because they do not  understand .Powerful and true video

We are seeing things beginning to take place right before our  eyes .

Learned a couple things i never  knew.

Im offering  the video to you if you are interested  just to  let me know.

It reached  close to 80 today not too bad.Saturday our high is to be just 54

What you ordered    sounded good   except that sour cream lol

As a kid i always stayed away from sourcream .

I always thought it tasted  bitter.

Goodnight to you too partner.  Stay cool

Hello Melinda. I wish you a happy weekend too. We're looking for a Saturday in the low 90s followed by Sunday in the mid 60s. That's springtime in NC---rapid  overnight change.Story pin image

Hi. Not sure what happening with the text in my message however I'm using a new word programme and that could be the cause. Weird but I'll work it out:) ~Hugs~

04/17/2026 01:21:31

Hi
Darlene.
I see by my world map it’s after midnight your way so am assuming
your online
and
on checking found your message:).

Days and weeks go by so fast. There are times I wish it would slow
down so I can catch up. Our
weather continues to hover in the 70’s but it seems will rise to
the high 80’s next week.
Guess
it’s allowing us a nice warm spell before the wet cold days of
winter arrive.
That’s
typical autumn weather for here.
Muffy
is recovering well from his surgery last week to remove the lump on
his neck/upper chest. He also had one tooth removed that also
required stitches. He had the last of his medication this morning
and such an easy boy to give it too not like little Channie who would
clench her jaws so tight that even the Vets had difficult in
administering it
and
she was smart enough to know if it was disguised in her food. There
is to be a Autumn Garden festival to be held at the local Show
Grounds next month. I would love to go and browse around the plants
etc but unfortunately not possible as I can’t walk far now mores
the pity. Oh well, I guess I won’t be coming home with loads of
plants that I haven’t the space for anyway:). Schools are on
vacation now for two weeks. My daughter has taken her caravan over
to the coast for the time to relax, catch up with friends and do a
spot of fishing.
I’ve
taken a Chicken Kiev out of the freezer plus a slice of apricot pie
to have for supper. There’s custard and fresh cream in the fridge
to add to the pie. I’ve been making a variety of pages as spares
for future use. I keep thinking of different ideas during the night.
Some work but others don’t:). Now I had best do some vacuuming
before it gets too late. Hugs ~Pat~

Amish store..Hamptonville NC (not Hampton)

04/16/2026 12:49:38

The bird seed doesn't stay in the feeders long, but we clean them out each month. This one is in a shady spot now. I saw a hummingbird yesterday afternoon. They fly so fast, but was nice to finally realize they are here. Mid week April already. We're going up to Hampton NC on Saturday to visit an Amish store. It 90 minutes North of us. Have never been to one before.

I hope you have a wonderful day Darlene! My daughter & son-n-law are having an over night "date night" so I'm going to go stay at their house today & spend the night,  to be there to give their elderly dog her daily medicienes on time...and they don't have to worry about her. I'll be back home by lunch tomorrow.

Good night my friend darlene

04/15/2026 10:50:32

I'm feeling a little nostalgic this morning... thought I share something special to me with you...this 1st photo was taken with me and my 3 week old daughter, she weighed 8 lbs 5 oz at birth...taken at my parents house in Sept. of 1971 with a Polaroid camera.

then after 2 miscarriages during several years, God blessed us one more time, with a 9 lb 14 oz son... this photo was taken at a baseball game by a professional photographer, that was there to take photos for the local newspaper, I had no idea that it had been taken until he presented me with it...my son was about 3 months old at the time, May 1978.

04/14/2026 09:09:31

Hi Darlene!  well, I got through the 1st day of my new exercise commentment, and didn't die...I had saved some exercise video's for seniors off of Instagram over the last few  weeks, so I started with one of those. My knee surgeon told me I needed to start doing more strength building exercises along with the walking, that would help both of my knees...it's taken me a few weeks to get my mojo up to start doing something more than looking at the videos! LOL! I've also lost 11 lbs (I've been working on that too) since Dec...why does it take so dang long to lose pounds, but I can GAIN them in a day?

04/13/2026 11:39:51

New feeder..placed it on North side of yard yesterday. We can see it from the home office window when we're inside.

04/13/2026 08:53:01

I hope you enjoy today Darlene...I'm starting an exercise program today...don't know how good it'll be or if I even stick with it, but I'm determined to at least get through the 1st day! LOL!

04/12/2026 19:27:07

Darlene there were other sites that also showed   how they made that

.He seemed like a nice man.Its not something i think i would want to eat but the names  caught my attention.

In all these years being on this earth i never heard of funeral or whi

This fella by me hes a big  tall glass of water.

Was a Windy day here .

But got  a couple  things  repaired and a window well painted

It was a beautiful day today.

The whole week looks nice but a  couple may be rainy.  Nice sleeping weather.

04/12/2026 15:19:28

Moved the new bird feeder to N side of house earlier today. I'll take a picture this evening after the sun goes down. We're heating up here once again..looks like 90's all week..not ready for it, but what does one do? Still hope to get some flowers planted soon..that might have to wait till next weekend. Don't have much planned other than my weekly appt with chiropractor. They're just down the road less than 2 miles. Take it easy and have a wonderful week ahead.

04/12/2026 13:14:34

Some of us have been in
flip-flops for weeks, ACs
running in afternoon, heat
in the morning. It's gonna
be a long hot summer!
Love your page, Darlene.
Thx for your note. Wow,
wish I lived where you are.
We're seeing high 80s
regularly already, some low
90s and records broken.
Know you'll enjoy all your
plants as they begin their
blooms. Our spring flowers
have come & gone. They were
pretty, but the drought and
heat sped them away too
quickly. Take care, dear
friend o'mine!  Luvya!

04/12/2026 12:49:36

Hello, sweet friend. Enjoy
today, and your new week.

04/12/2026 09:26:46
