Good Morning, Melinda. Today I'm getting my hair trimmed. Every month I go and have it triimmed and shaped up at a salon. I do my own coloring. Can't say I've ever tried a cheese steak. The weather is still erratic. This week we're headed toward a preview of summer in the low 90s by the weekend. Still heat on at night and a/c during the day. Have a nice day.
good morning Darlene! I just don't have any "get up and go" juice this morning...where did it go? if you find some extra, would you send it my way? thanks! LOL!
HiHi Darlene today has been the best day of the year so far weatherwise.
I edged the back and the front ,swept up all around, then i had to fix the cedar chips that the squirrels mess up lol
Once i got that done i got the hose and watered down the front windows t, then i spent time hosing the sidewalk.
Came inside washed up and then ate dinner.Finished up and went back outside and did the bottom level of the front of the garage just to touch it up from the snow we had .
The day just flew by .afgter sitting around with nothing to do i got back outside and i swept the sidewalk where the squirrels eat to keep the anta away.
And then i cleaned the jalousy windows of my back door .
I can still keep going but i better save a few things for tomorrow lol Hope u had a nice day .
It`s a beautifulday for people to use those baskets and have a nice barbeque.Im making my grocery list but i have lots yet but wont buy as much or heck i may just get things since im there. Have a nice Mothers Day oh by the way im attempting to grow tomatoes for the very first time lol Im not good at this but im giving it a shot summer has given me some tips as well as me doing searches.
Hubby is doing fine. Still attending cardiac rehab classes twice each week. He's doing better on his food choices, but listening to the rhetoric off the wall and out of date infor, stain they give each week on the food chain is mind boggling. His jib is very stressful..lots of changes there, but he muddles through each day. We're going to Bryson City NC end of next month for a few days. Taking a train ride from three over to Dillsboro for a two hour ride. We were last thrrr way back in 2003.
thank you! We got some much needed rain twice recently and the grass and flowers are perking up for sure. It helped with controlling the fires nearby too. Have a good weekend.
Many years ago, a friend had a Persian cat. Her name was Mimi. She would always keep her groomed and they would make her tail look like it had a Pom Pom on the top. Oir DQ closed a few years ago..but we have a Culvers that sells concrete mixers..they're the equilavent of a blizzard. We're finally getting much needed rain..it should hang around through tomorrow.
this is an overview of part of the Holland Lake Park (Weatherford, TX) I talk about going for my morning walks with my 2 little dogs.."Maddie" & "Cassie", I think I posted it last year...but not sure....LOL! I went this morning, but it was a brisk walk with the temps at 50* and windy! brr...but, we got it done! I may go back this afternoon by myself to get a better walk..I hope your day is a beautiful one!
Good Morning, Melinda. We do have flowers, trees and plants in bloom despite the need for more rain. May offers a preview of the summer heat, contrasted with cooler spring days. Once June arrives there will be no break from the heat until late September.
Hope to get the yard cut sometime over the weekend. Suppose to have rain on Saturday. The temps have been nice for the last few days. Folks in the mountains might see a frost on Sunday. My friend in Elizabethton, TN commented on this yesterday..they're about 2 hours NW of us. We visited Marie yesterday. She celebrated her 96th birthday. She was tired, but enjoyed all of the visits and phone calls. I'll be calling her later this afternoon. Have a wonderful weekend.
Hi Darelene! did you know that May is Military Appreciation month?
Designated by Congress in 1999, National Military Appreciation Month (NMAM) is celebrated annually in May to honor, remember, and recognize current and former members of the U.S. Armed Forces, including those who died in service.
Key Dates:
May 1: Loyalty Day
First Friday in May: Military Spouse Appreciation Day
Hello friends, we are still waiting on rain here and needing it desperately.
There are fires burning in my county and neighboring counties. They are
using helicopters to scoop up water from lakes and ponds to put on the
fires. Have a good Thursday
Hi Darlene! ...my home town Mineral Wells, TX got hit hard by the tornado yesterday, we were under a tornado warning twice, (I'm ub Weatherford, by that same system, but the tornado was quick and didn't travel very far. My younger brother lives in a trailer in MW, but not in the area that got hit...thank goodness! They showed the destruction on the CBS national news this morning. The man that was a supervisor at the Ventamatic plant that got destroyed, called all his 2nd shift people and told them not to come to work that afternoon, due to the bad weather watch...he saved all those people by doing that. He stayed to lock down what he could, and left, 20 minutes after that, the tornado hit there..it had traveled across the Holiday Hills subdivision, tore up a bunch of houses there, (mostly the 2 stories homes) then to Wolters Industrial complex where the Ventamatic plant is and a lot of warehouses, then it traveled down Hwy 180 and hit the little town of Cool, Tx..but only 2 people in the houses got badly hurt, lots of low key type of injuries, and no deaths...so that's really good! The tornado was headed toward us, but played out right after it hit Cool, thank goodness!
