“The sun has disappeared, and the light there still is, is left in the atmosphere enclosed by the gloomy mist as pools are left by the receding tide. Through the sand the water slips, and through the mist the light glides away.
I hope you’ve had a really good week and that everything has gone well for you. I also hope you have some fun and relaxing plans lined up for the weekend you deserve it! Wishing you a lovely evening and, when the day finally winds down, a peaceful and restful good night.
The maple tree outside our kitchen window is showing orange..several,leaves have changed color already. F course, the extended forecast shows 90's through early September. I'm hoping after this weekend, our grass won't be growing quite as fast. Did some weed trimming the morning. It's clouding up now, with thunderstorms moving in @ 7 pm. One day closer to Fall
Dear Boomer friends, I am flying to Sint Maarten with my sister’s son for a dignified farewell to his father—it is his wish to do so, as my sister cannot bear it. It happened on September 11, 2021: after a beautiful boat trip, he went to bed in the evening, exchanged goodnight kisses, and turned over—only to pass away. It was a tragedy. We are receiving this trip for free from the hotel. My sister’s son has worked at Schiphol for 25 years—kudos to him—and received a beautiful gold pin; he would love to place it by his dad’s urn when we are back in the Netherlands. A beautiful and touching gesture. I am standing by him! Lots of love and have a wonderful weekend, Dayenne and Sebastiaan.
