Night is a time for reflection, where tranquility allows us to look within, listen to the silence of the soul and find the peace that nourishes us. Wishing a blessed night and a happy dawn
Dear Di - This snow is for us - more you than me.. It's 80 and humid here, but I know you probably have 90s and humid down your way.. UGH.. Wish I had a summer home in Alaska.. That would feel wonderful to be that far north in the summer.. Think back to when you got that beautiful snowfall in January.. Everything must have seemed right with the world.. We do get our share of heat and humidity, but nothing like you do.. The south is so horrible in the summer.. And we still have several months to get to fall, let alone snowy days.. You know, I experienced southern heat once in my life.. Years ago spent a vacation at my aunt's place in Warner Robins, Ga.. It was the end of June into the 4th of July.. It was over 100 every day, with humidity so thick, it was like wading through a swamp like a zombie.. I told my aunt 'never again'.. Horrible experience! Will chat again. *hugs* from Darlene
It's a steamy Saturday here..humidity is very high. Worked outside this morning briefly while hubby was cutting the grass. We will see 90 today..of course, more rain is in the forecast over the next few days. Bristol areas have been a favorite of mine since the early 90's. When I was younger, I'd drive up there quite often. You can literally go down Main Street and stand in both States at one time. I'm praying the weather will be nice while we are there. We're going to Dearborn Michigan end of August. Going to tour the Henry Ford museum. David has several relatives that worked in the automotive industry back in the day (in this area), so it's something we've been wanting to do for a long time. I'll get to mark off 2 States that I've never been thriugh before..(Ohio, Michigan). The kitty krew is doing well. Enjoy your weekend pal.. -:)
Hey Bud, Yes I sure enjoy other folks cooking. LOL. Derek had smoked a Boston Butt for 7 hours on his smoker and man was it good! The next night they fried fish and coconut shrimp. We brought home leftovers too so had a nice extneded break. The girls have a total of 17 hens now and 1 rooster. His name is Albus as in Dumbledore from Harry Potter. They are big fans. They have a stray black cat that took up months ago. He lingers along the edge of the property still. They named him Sirius Black. They tickle me! Abby and Zach will be here on Wed. so I'll be busy prepping for the next few days. Have a good Sat. Much love, Beffie
