MELODY OF MORNING
Hearts beating as one, dawn's mellifluous melody, springtime harmonies, the day emerging from its blanket of night, sweet songs of morning, cadences magical and silky smooth, my senses caressed by the warmth of the sun its glorious rays softly and gently punctuating the silence of this day. Morning magical as night is once more transformed into day and we resume our daily journey toward tomorrow and forever.

This was much more fun way to recall vocabulary . . . .
Isismoon's "Word of the Week" is "MELLIFLUOUS":
MELLIFLUOUS
mel·lif·lu·ous
1. sweetly or smoothly flowing; sweet-sounding: a mellifluous voice; mellifluous tones.
2.
flowing with honey; sweetened with or as if with honey.

WITHIN THE WHISPERS OF SPRING
In those moments when all is very still, I hear the whispers of angels' wings as hummingbirds smile down at me from the very highest branch
and drink sweet nectar from the tiniest cups on a springtime afternoon.
And I hear the angel whispers in the butterflies' winged waltz as they invite me to share in their elegant dance of spring. And as the breeze whispers through the blossoms of the trees I can hear the tiny trumpets sing their sweet springtime melodies.
And on this afternoon in the Spring as I stop what I'm doing and listen carefully, the sound is unmistakable, impossible to miss, a blanketing of whispers bringing peace to my heart which I gladly share as I can.
For in those whispers I have found untold riches in that peace and tranquility worth a thousand pieces of gold as he who treads softly goes far and I still have a long way to go.

ASCENDING
In reverent silence my prayers ascend that we right the wrongs and make amends for what we have done to our precious earth and sky; to the creatures who inhabit the forests and the seas, who soar above the clouds to the heavens so high; who dive to the depths of the ocean so far beyond our reach.
And as I slow down and focus my gaze on the beauty I see all around me, within my daily view and well within my reach, I'm reminded once again that the earth and the sky bless me each day in unmeasurable ways.
And so my respect and my reverence I share in whatever way I can as I travel through my day.

FREELY GIVEN
If I could right every wrong; if I could soothe every hurt and make it go away; if I could mend each broken heart and wipe away every tear; if everything I had I could just give away; if I could be all things to all people, I'd glad do my share.
But there's only one of me trying to do the best I can and what I can give away, I gladly do and happy as can be to give what I can of my time and my heart; to lend a hand where and when I can.
I give my friendship and my love, perhaps the best gifts I can share, and a few words here and there that come from my heart, sharing as I can, and the only gifts I would ever hope for in return from those I hold so dearly and so very close to me.

TOWARD THE LIGHT
On the edge of the day as they come into view, dark clouds encroach upon the sun's bright light. And I linger there briefly mesmerized by the sight, considering for a moment what is buried deep inside, within that darkest hour and in that shadowy place while standing upon the edge of darkness and within that narrow space between the setting of the sun and the rising of the moon.
And in a single moment I embrace the dark and turn my back on those thoughts encroaching there, as empowered by the light of the moon and the stars that begin to shine, I dismiss them all, my heart illuminated once again.
And as the light begins to shine, I step forward right there and then as looking forward toward the horizon and into the future I see, the hopes and dreams within my heart rise to the surface and become the reality I strive for once again.

EVENING SONG
The sun in the sky, hints of blue and clouds of white; the song in my heart, the birds that sing, the breath of a wind, everything.
Where it starts and where it ends, the day once more melting into evening's muted light, as dancing upon the edge of the day, the sun slowly merges with darkness of night. Resplendent in shades of crimson and gold, sweet melodies of an evening song begin to quiet my footsteps and soothe my soul.
And as dreams of night begin to fill my heart, the earth to protect is my ever-fervent prayer.

IN A MOMENT OF PEACE As day begins to sink into night, I come to the edge of tomorrow's silhouettes etched into this canvas of glorious hues, subtle as they sweep across the evening sky and through my heart, soothing as I seek peace in my soul and a place of rest. And as I pause to reflect upon the day behind me, I look forward to a tomorrow filled with yet unknown wonders with each dissolving wave of dusk fading into the blush of evening and the darkness of night. And peace settles upon my heart once again. SUNSHINE MUSINGS I stood silently at the edge of a blanket of sunshine and simply watched as freedom took flight and flew at will, stopping to sip the nectar here and there as she silently went about her business of being free and enjoying the sunshine. And for just a moment my heart joined in her flight as, closing my eyes, I wandered through silent passages of sunshine thoughts.
