The second in a new series of "Blogging For Fun" (BFF) Themes inspired by song titles:
 TRULY FREE
If it came in bright packages, wrapped in sparkles and bows, or found upon a special shelf in my favorite department store, the lines might be so very long, extending to the street; but they wouldn't catch my eye half as fast, or mean a thing to me, as what captures my heart and transports my soul and found quite easily.
For love doesn't come in packages wrapped up in glitter and gold, and I can't be wooed with love songs I hear on the radio. But give me a sunrise on a morning in spring, or a flower opening up as the morning begins.
Give me the sound of dragonflies' wings glistening in the sun on a bright summer's day.
Give me an adventure to experience each day, something to make my own heart sing or take my breath away.
These are the things that mean love to me. And as much as they try to wrap it in bows, and sell it in the stores and so many places I go, the best things in life, and there's wisdom in those words, the best things in life are the ones truly free.

STEP BY STEP
Many steps have I taken to get to where I am, the little ones and big ones, the small ones and tall. I've gone this way and that way and it's taken a long time, a very long time to get here, one step at a time, as fast as I could go.
But one thing I've learned along this path called Life, the biggest obstacle to getting here is Myself. So these days I try, I try very hard to move out of my own way, to jump aside and away from the things that might keep me locked up inside, away from the things that I might want to hide.
And stepping out of the darkness and into the light, I move on toward tomorrow and thankful for today. I reach for the future; I reach for the sky where there are no limits to what I can do, nothing in my way. And at the end of the day, I can very confidently say I look forward to looking forward, continuing to take it little by little, and one step at a time.

INTO THE WIND As clouds in the sky on a springtime day, billows of cotton floating in the sky, my imagination captured and transported away by sheets of white linen waving in the breeze on this sunny day. And as the sheets hang out on the line, flapping back and forth in the stiff breeze on this blue-sky sunny day, I am the captain of my own sailing ship that crosses the seven seas from here to beyond. And as the breezes of March fill up my sails today, I sail toward the west toward the horizon's far edge and adventures untold, thrills and excitement for the brave and the bold. ACROSS A PAINTED SKY
Sweeping across the blue of the sky, a painted canvas of springtime catching my eye, wildflowered meadows grace the meadows, in that magical place where I always want to be, where the sun warms my heart as winter takes its leave.
And between what I see and the horizon's far edge, I reach for the rainbows that speak softly to me as they arch across the sky after the showers of this day while I savor these moments and marvel at the brushstrokes across this painted sky.

FROM LINE TO LINE
The words I read each day from early morn, before the sun begins to shine, 'till late at night, when the moon is bright, dance across the page in front of me, sometimes balancing upon each line as they tiptoe or pirouette across. Sometimes they race across the line with blinding speed, with deafening sound, leaving me spent by the end of the line, my emotions with them turned quite upside down. Sometimes they're gentle, a simple lullaby and rock me to sleep, a welcome respite from the chaos of life.
And occasionally I'll add a few myself, some words to the lines across the page and dance with them from beginning to end as together we find our way from one line to the next.

THE SWEETEST SOUND
Love's sweet song caressing the strings, the sound of music floating upon the darkness and into the night, somber melodies born of broken dreams and tragedy, of sadness, of grief overpowering her heart, of love lost and found again, from the depth of her soul her violin sings.
And as the fullness of the moon travels across a cloudless sky, the mournful song of her violin rises from the ashes of what came before, as broken no more, the sweetest sound rises into the night upon the wind from the violin strings, and dances again, the sweet melodies, within the magical glow of a midnight moon.

IN THE AFTERNOON SUN
On a day as the Spring has just begun and the sun is simply refusing to shine, I need a smile, something to lift my heart and I know where to go, just what will do the trick.
So I search for my friend on a spring afternoon when the sun is subdued and the skies rather gray. It takes quite a while, I must say, before I see him as he comes out to play. But my heart skips a beat as out of the corner of my eye I finally spy him, so small and up so high for a wee one such as he, against the gray of the sky. But I can finally see him, squinting to see him as he flits about from blossom to blossom as he sips sweet nectar from each little cup each golden one just a little bit sweeter than the one before.
And he surveys the scene, stopping every once in a while to look down at me for the briefest while though sometimes so very difficult to see.
And finally when the clouds have moved aside the feathers of my tiny winged friend shimmer and shine in the afternoon glow of the springtime sun as he glistens and brings another smile to my heart as I treasure these moments and delight in the day which when it began was oh, so very gray, but now as the sun has begun to shine a smile returns to my face and my heart.

LUNA'S SPRING MELODY
On this morning as Spring begins to sing her golden melody, pastels and colors bright, it is the moon that greets my day in the sweet moments before the sun appears and the birds begin to sing. Lingering low enough to catch my eye in the western sky of dawn, it is her voice I hear as she bids farewell until tonight when again she will rise from from behind the eastern snow-covered peaks in her always glorious way, so very close she seems, as she begins her journey across the nighttime sky.
And as she rises into the night I will hear her voice once more, velvet-toned midnight melodies and precious lullabies, as she cradles my heart and comforts my soul until we meet once more as morning begins to unfold into the day when I once more awaken to greet the dawn and Luna says goodbye 'till I see her again.
