DAWN'S INFUSION
The muted glow of morning flows into my heart, gently piercing the darkness to which I've been bound, infusing light and life, renewal at dawn to fragile emotions, dried flowers in the fields floating in the breezes of my yesterdays.
And I treasure each moment, the happy and sad, as petal by petal, my heart brought to life once again at dawn with the sun streaming in as I'm bathed in its glow.

Since I've always found the CPC "Pick-Aparts" such a fascinating challenge and so much more difficult for me than I ever thought they would be, I can hardly ever resist trying a second one (this is the second one).
My Second "Pick-Apart Poem" created from 25 words selected from Voo's featured poem "Forgiveness."
Thanks again to Voo for sharing her talent with us at "Pick Apart" this month.
 SEEKING
Piercing like glass, emotions stolen, a caged prisoner beyond crushed I seek unbroken clarity, a light that will free me from this captivity of unending solitude.

"Pick-Apart Poetry" is created by selecting 25 words from the posted original piece and then creating a new piece using only those 25 words. Words may be repeated and tenses may be changed.
To read Voo's original piece and pieces created from her words and also to try one of your own, please follow the link.

All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players: they have their exits and their entrances; and one man in his time plays many parts, his acts being seven ages.
~William Shakespeare ~
PLAYING THE PART THAT IS ME
Sometimes when all is quiet and the stage lights turned down low, I tiptoe silently, secretly across the stage and imagine I'm one of the characters with each step I take, playing the parts I might never have tried outside the theater doors in the blinding lights of stark reality outside.
For here in the quiet and on this dimly lit stage I can do what I want and be exactly who I want to be. I can hum my tunes and sing my songs and write my words in relative obscurity, no masquerade, no masks at all, simply me and who I am.
And upon this stage I can whisper the lines, no memorizing required on this stage of mine, as entering and exiting with no regrets at all, no looking back, and the lines spoken within each act, the products of my heart, as I exit the stage that is today, looking forward to the next act and scene beginning promptly with the sunrise and dawn.
And I make my entrance once again upon this stage of my life, playing the only part I know, the one that is myself, the one that you see upon this stage, the same page I'm looking at, and you'll know it is me by the blush on my face, by the tear in my eye, by the smile lines around my eyes and on my face, and by the way I laugh, no mistaking who I am.

ENGRAVED WITHIN
Within these walls sacred mysteries unfold, each carving engraved within, legends and stories told of adventures and deities, treasures held within the stone as I try to unlock them, each mystery one by one.
And I stop to consider them, these legends in stone, as becoming one with each carving, each paddle and each canoe, I sail with them and the sea turtles, the wind empowering my sails, for I can only imagine how it must have been and what it was like to be one of them, adventures unfolding, empowered by the waves with the wind at my back and sailing out to sea.

FROM THE SHELF
In all sizes and shapes and bright colors they emerge, these thoughts that I have as they flow out in words. And I never quite know just what form they'll take until I see them here and the entrance they make.
Like glass jars on a weathered shelf, all different as they are, some translucent, others transparent glasses, bottles and jars with splashes of color here and there.
They might not be bright and shiny on the outside as they sit here on the shelf, but each is genuine and has seen a lot of life and comes from deep within.

LOST IN THE PAGES
Connecticut Yankees and knights brave and bold, I'm in King Arthur's Court and in wonder of it all. The armor, the horses, the thrill of the fight, castles and maidens, a childhood delight as I'm lost in the pages of my imagination once more adventuring down the Mighty Miss with Huck and Tom and all of our friends.
Jumping frogs keep us company as we boldly find our way, as all we can do is laugh together all the day as we try to keep our eyes on the paths and the rivers in front of us, more adventures and destinations to find within our sights as we travel to places far and wide as retold through Mark Twain's grand adventures as passed down to me.

Mark Twain is alive and well in my town too, right in front of our library . . . .

SUMMER GOLDEN
As far as the eye can see, flowers of golden dance in the breeze, displaying their magic within muted heather and meadows of green. Just yesterday dark clouds threatened their joy and their jubilant dance; but today vibrant and joyful in the warmth of this summer day, their blooms dancing again in the breezes and sun, as the rains have washed away the gray of yesterday, their blossoms opening up once more to the warmth of this brand new day the sun emerging bright and strong enough to overpower any storm. And I dance among them, these flowers of golden, inhaling their vibrant energy; for summer has returned once more as within this day sweet magic flows, the warmth and joy of summer arriving to greet the dawn.

FROM THE SOURCE
I've heard the voice of wisdom as it's been passed down to me; I've heard it through the wind as it's rustled through the trees. I've heard it through the ocean's waves and whispered in the breeze. And I've heard it from those who knew for they have listened well as it came to them from the source and they have passed it down to me.
And I'd always wondered where it came from, this wisdom that they knew, the wisdom that they knew so well and passed it down to me. So today I've come to join them, the ones who came before, filling my cup from the stream so crystal clear and flowing directly from wisdom's source as it nourishes both mind and soul from that celestial mountain almost touching the sky.
And from that mountain high above, the water flows so pure and clean, no barriers can restrain sweet wisdom as it flows through the walls and confines that man has built to keep it in. And at the source, all barriers broken, I join with them and fill my cup with the gentle rush of wisdom flowing there across time and generations from the source, so I can pass it on once more as it has been passed down to me.

JUST BEYOND THE RAIN
It's difficult to know from one day to the next, the canvas of the sky changing so every day, how things will go, what direction they'll take, today blue skies and sunshine, tomorrow stormy gray; and driving rain is on the way, dark clouds clinging in silence to my mountains and my mood.
And as the rain begins to fall, I close my eyes once more as drop by drop by drop of rain the gray that has consumed my mood is slowly washed away, my heart caressed by each steady and rhythmic drop, a soothing balm to the jagged edges that have punctuated my thoughts on this day.
And as the sun begins to shine, the rain departing, the clouds moving away, I find myself once more refreshed and renewed, feeling like myself again just beyond the rain.
