DARK SHADOWS OF MY MIND

Shadows dark in silent slumbers,

Ghosts and zombies rich in numbers,

Lurking in the deep dark places,

Turn and look, they have no faces,

Vampires thirst, lonely widows weep.

These darkened places in my sleep,

In my dreams, these shadows roam,

Lost souls longing to haunt my home,

Clawing, sobbing, invaders of dreams,

 In darkened shadows till sunlight gleams.

                  SIMPLE THINGS

A dash of color, a sparkle of light,

My sons face, a sweet healthy hug,

A big bright smile, a moonlit night,

Freshly mowed grass, a cute lady bug,

A pie in the oven, a valentines kiss,

Snuggling in bed, a little love letter,

 Things so special, I really would miss,

Simple things, to me, there is nothing better.

                 SOMETIMES I STUMBLE

Sometimes I stumble for words to express my love for you,

I know deep in my soul you wonder why I do the things I do,

I need you to know my love for you is real, my love is true,

No matter what happens, each day my love feels brand new,

I'm not perfect, far from it, but you need to see,

I would ever do anything at all to hurt you and me,

Life is so strange,  as if theres an invisible wall,

If you try to climb it and stumble, you're bound to fall,

One thing that  I'm sure of and I have no fears,

If I ever fall,  you pick me up and wipe my tears.

I love you my sweetheart, through good times and bad,

You're the the best friend, by far, that I've ever had.

                  LOVE SO FREE

Everything in this world is about money,

I'm so blessed, I have my sweet honey,

Love is the only one thing that is free,

I love my sweet babe and he loves me,

 Never quibble about dollars and cents,

In todays world it  makes one so tense,

                   TWISTED FEARS

My nightmares.. this place I've seen,

Zombies, spirits, faces twisted green,

Where should I run, it's all a maze,

Swimming in fear, mind in a daze,

I can't wake up from this insanity,

Spirits and loneliness are all I can see,

Succumb to the madness, no real choice,

In this twisted place, I have not a voice.

                 DARKNESS FALLS

Darkness has fallen all around,

The air is silent, not a single sound,

I embrace the shadows in every room,

Peaceful, whispers of silence loom,

I must admit I  long for the night,

When darkness falls I feel alright.

My time is now, I have my space,
