EMOTIONS

Emotions, we feel so many deep in our soul,

Live, laugh, learn, hunger for a lifes goal,

Emotions, love, loneliness, longing for  truth,

Memories, sadness, missing our youth,

Emotions, strong, weak, aching for love,

 Wishing on stars from heavens above,

Emotions, a look from a lover, hearts afire,

Passion,  empathy, hate and desire,

Enotions, they keep us alive and free,

Wanting exceptance, by  just being me.

                       Tender and mild

Love, it makes us feel alive, happy, aglow,

 Feelings we treasure, down deep in our soul,

Love, it can hurt, do damage, cause pain,

Still we come back to it, again and again,

Love, it's the bond between Mother and child,

Holding them dear, our baby, just for a while,

Love, is the language we all learn to speak,

No matter how tender, gently mild, or meek.

                            IN YOUR EYES

Eyes, they show so much.. look very close,

Specks of color, light, love, comatose,

Eyes, the flooded gateway to your soul,

Happy, some empty, others magically whole,

Eyes, blue, brown, lovely shades of hazels,

Their secret mystery, whole lifetime of tales,

Eyes,  gleeful, others bitter, lost, sad,

Some tell many stories, some just a tad,

Eyes, come hither, passion, anger, hate,

Fire, ice, tears, your untimely fate,

Eyes, they amaze, they love, they smile,

Lost in your eyes, may I stay just a while.

                           WHISPER IN THE NIGHT

A whisper soft  in the night,

Quickly I turned on my light,

Looked around, nothing there,

Just empty space and empty air,

I felt a presence, who could it be,

I know it's someone dear to me,

I feel a gentle whisper in my ear,

Grab my hand dear, feel no fear,

I'm not ready, I'm sorry, let me go,

I'll see you someday, in the afterglow.

                               IN DARKNESS

Last night after taking a nap I woke to total darkness, The power was out!

It made me think how much we take eletricity for granted.

We could not cook dinner, couldn't see, the computer was out, not to mention the T.V. and cable.

To make it worse we were not even prepared with a flahlight or candles!

We certainly do take eletricity for granted, We don't even know to function without it!

Think about people in the 18th century, they didn't have power, they used lanterns washed clothes by hand, actually talked to each other.

No television, so families had to entertain each other!

We are spoiled but we don't know any better because this is the only thing we know.. we don't know what it's like to not have electicity!

In the darkness last night it really made me think!!

Thank God  for electricity!!

                    UNPREDICTABLE POWERS

I look out the window to skies of gray,

Raindrops so sparkling are on the way,

I love the gift of beautiful rain showers,

It amazes me, Gods unpredictable powers,

I'll watch the rain from my warm abode,

This is my tribute, my thanks, my ode,

I look and I marvel at the glorious rain,

Off in the distance, whistles blow from a train,

Wow, what a morning, different delights,

Tickle my senses of smell, sound and sight,

I gaze out in wonder at unpredictable powers,

I can't turn away, I look and listen for hours,

Thank you my Lord for all of your gifts,

I couldn't feel down, you just gave me such lifts,

Rainbows, trains whistling, poignant smells in the air,

 Marveling at the world, snug and warm in my  chair.

                      COTTON CANDY

Cotton candy, ice cream,  lollipops,

School, homework, big raindrops,

Simple things meant so much,

Friends I wish I'd kept in touch,

Busy, chores, laundry, dishes,

I remember  childhood wishes.

Time eludes us, spend it wisely,

Grown up, things to do,  too sizely,

Thank you for being the love of life,

The wonderful one I adore,

The person who shares

all my dreams and desires,

My plans my adventures and more,

Thank you for being my very best friend,

My comforter when things go wrong,

The one who encourages me,

Cheers me, believes in me,

Changes my weak to my strong,

Thank you for being my partner in life

and for filling my heart with such pride,

                    MY HEART SKIPS A BEAT

Love, you make my life  complete,

I love you more every little meet,

You have risen me from lonely,

You babe, my one and my only,

The touch of your skin on mine,

Lovely , oh so sweetly devine,
