KISS OF THE WIND

To be outside once again
feeling the kiss of the wind
running through my hair
gently touching my skin


Sun shining on my face
basking in it's wondrous glow
as it slowly burns away
all the little sorrows


My heart fills with joy again
my soul  is set free
hearing a bird's delicate song
the world is one with me


How these simple pleasures
slowly passed me by
then opening the window
letting them once again inside

                         FEELING LIKE A ROSE

I feel like a rose,

beautiful in many ways,

but I have many thorns,

the rough parts of my days.

I feel a like a rose,

meaningful and deep,

but that fades away,

though I'm trying hard to keep.

I feel like a rose,

please handle me with care,

I could break in a second,

if my loved one's weren't there.

I feel like a rose,

my beauty will soon fade,

and while hurt by my thorns,

I'll replenish in the shade.

That little teardrop...

so beautiful but bitter,
it can be full of pain,
or so sweet it glitters.
When a tear falls,
it streams down your face,
and ends at your smile,
travelling with grace.
Harboring pain,
exposing your fears,
many a secret
are found in tears.
A container of truth
filled with emotion,
defining love,
and your devotion.
Tears of happiness
laughter and glee,
but also anger,
stress and worry.
Its a wonder,
how a tear so small,
can hold so many emotions

and still glimmer as it falls..

Even with many misconceptions in my life
your guiding light has always been bright
and lit the path of darkness

I hear your angelic song

feels so right this night.

they take away my eyes..

Gaurdians of the night..

Glowing on my shivering skin,

to the night..

I finally give in.

                             DANCE OF THE FIREFLY

In the pitch black night,
like sparks from a fire
dancing ever so bright.
flitting so very quietly.

Gleaming and glimmering,
flickering and glowing as
they prance around nightly
full of energy in the dusk sky.

Beauty that cannot be
seen in the light of day,
but come each evening
they will freely illuminate the glen.

Nightly they perform their
spectacular poetry of light.
These little dream nymphs
of the dark mysterious woods.

A magical nocturnal world,
filled with their green glow.
Cutting through the darkness,
these beautiful fire flies.
