A poem's kiss,
flows from my pen
to your brown eyes
lingering, longing
as a silent embrace
as words light up the skies..
Our words touch
as lips, softly searching
verses thrill the heart
tangled in emotions
whispers of "I love you"
promises to never part...
Colors of passion in stanzas
written in abundance
as tears frozen in time
deep and longing
until rivers become oceans
and you become mine....

                        SOMETIMES, LOVE IS LIKE A ROSE

From the first day we met
our tiny seed of love was planted
night and day it slowly grew
so stunning we thought it was enchanted..
It never lost a silky petal
and the sharp thorns never hurt
the emerald green stalk grew
absorbing all love from the dirt..
Then one hot sunny day
the ruby rose promptly woke
bees kissed their way into the flower
and the relationship quickly broke..
Apologies were cried but were too late
the scarlet petals started to die
losing their once striking color
and sadly forcing them to say goodbye..

                            LIVING FOR THE MONENT

The years go by so fast.
memories remain from the past.
You remember the times of good and bad,
the days you wish you'd never had.

Life can be good,
doing things you thought you never could.
Living your dreams
facing your fears,
with fun and laughter,
with heartache and tears.

Trying to express your feelings
wishing words would come your way,
All the thoughts in your head
are all so hard to say.
To love and hate
to give and to take..

Searching for happiness
no matter how near or far...
Trying to find out the person you really are..
living for the moment,
giving life your all,
never giving up...
no matter how bad you fall.

                              I DREAMED OF AN ANGEL

I dreamed I saw an angel,
beautiful and fair,

with eyes of frosted sapphires,
and golden silky threads of hair.

I dreamed of an angel,
full of charm and grace,

all stopped and stared,
to marvel at her face.

I dreamed of  an angel,
that made the heavens sigh,

the stars began to twinkle,
so they could reflect it in my eyes.

I dreamed of an angel,
a bloom that heaven chose,

my beautiful guardian angel,
more stunning than a rose.

                                 SUGARY RAPTURE

Last night I was dreaming of our perfection

feeling your luscious lips fuse with my own

the sweet perpetual bliss of all our affection

also the hottest rapture I had ever known

Holding you tight for what seemed like days

passion shines into our souls deepest core

the beats of your heart kept my own ablaze

sending me to the Heaven I so fondly adore

Both of our souls merge while we are kissing

creating our paradise which is heavenly pure

even the gleaming stars shall be reminiscing

that instant so perfect making our lips allure

It is sugary rapture as I taste your sweet lips

melting of our bodies in this moment divine

as I caress your neck using all my fingertips

makes both of our hearts softly after....

                               UNDER THE MIDNIGHT SKY

Tonight we lay under the midnight sky,
Just as a shooting star catches my eye..
I'm making wishes that I hope come true..
my favorite one is being here with you.

The grass we lay in turns silver by the moon,
warm summer winds blow in early June....
Looking into your eyes I see them shine....
my heart left thinking soon you'll  be mine.

Crickets are chirping in the fields nearby,
out from the grass a single firefly....
A heart is formed from the light left behind...
when visions of our future flood my mind.

                                      WOUNDED

Slowly spreading embroidered wings
gently fluttering from flower to flower
With each quiver, a slight breeze it brings
sparkles fall from each wing creating a shower...

Delicately watching which way she goes
carefully hiding the damage that was done
Wings still sparkle, but she no longer glows
her beauty, confidence, coming undone..

A beautiful butterfly slowly floats to the ground
Wings lightly slowing down, no human knows
The gentle wind,  and birds cry.. the only sound
A wounded butterfly, slowly dies beneath a rose..

                                PETALS OF LOVE

A rose oh so pretty, can you capture it all,
the thorns that will pain you, or the petals that fall.
The scent just a teasing, aroma does lead,
your hands to the steam, where they just might bleed.
Yet drawn to it firmly, its color and glory,
shall lead us to find, another love story.

We ponder about its beauty to hold,
till petals that shrivel, as they grow old,
But the scent carry's on, forever the bloom,
if deep in our hearts we still give it room.....
