Just had to share these with you.  This is what I see first thing in the mornings… just as the sun comes up and before I go back to bed for my nap!

I hope the pix came thru.. I really like the convenience of the puter cam but there ain’t nuthin like the old 35 mm cams for nice crispy pics.

 

Well, yesterday was one of those days again.  Yahoo must have been having problems… some of my emails took forever to go through.  Then last evening, Incredimail would not send/receive anything!  AAAARRRRRGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

 

Called Support!  Oh dear….

 

J.J., a very pleasant young man answered.  He humored me.  I gave him to know that I hated puters. He empathized.  We discussed the merits of demolishing the puter with a brick.. A carefully and properly placed brick!

 

I said the monitor… ‘No No!’ says JJ!  ‘A swift kick to the tower… ‘  Hmmm…

 

I pondered on this for a couple of seconds… Decided either type attack would take care of the problem temporarily! Told him I was going to take up drinking…Asked if he would like to share my vanilla.  He got tickled.

 

Then I got tickled! 

 

Oh dear! We laffed like crazy but he did get the next level techie to get my email back on line.  Thank you JJ!  Still think a brick thru the monitor will do the job! Lolol

 

A short dispatcher story here:  On duty… Unit on the road ran truck plate.  Abbreviation on tty said veh type “Ken”…Kenworth.   I relayed all the info correctly until I came to the KEN… What falls out of my mouth?  I said Kenmore (a washing machine).

 

Nobody ever said a word… lolol

 

Another one… Run a Soc #…  Female/White/DOB/Weight/ BLD (BLD translated to bald)  A bald female?  Somebody had not done their job… the original code had been BLN…blonde.   Somebody had not bothered to notify the departments of the change!

 

Nobody ever said a word about this one either!

Today is wear a red shirt or a yellow ribbon day!

Oh dear, I think I have confused the Marv. Well, that’s easily done! LOLOL Gotcha’!

With the comments I am getting about yesterday’s News, I guess I didn’t explain too well. Lolol I don’t know that a total explanation is possible..

Well, I finished priming the panel… have it all ready to go… just need to wait for the background toner to set up. While I was at it, I managed to get white primer on my undamaged navy blue sweatshirt! The one with the autumn designs embroidered on it. Well ratz. I know better but I will be to do it anyway!

Someday, I am going to measure the size of the studio room. I have more junk in there and I can just barely make it between two easels…storage shelves line three walls and the closet is also filled with shelves.

The other small bedroom is is lined with shelves. There is a huge heavy duty desk right in the middle. I hammer and paint and frame stuff in there.

I think the whole house is a studio and I live in a small apartment within! Or sumfin like that!

The New Name game… My roving reporter’s new name is Sloopy Pollydoodle! On the floor again. Do they allow names like that in Maui? Donna, keep me updated… she says through the giggles!

Sleepy weather again! Raining like crazy… already have had 1.75” of rain. We’re having a nor’easter. Still above freezing but some sleet has been mixed in with the rain. Far western counties have flood warnings… northern, around Cincinnati, snow warnings!

Have to tell you tho, the section of road between the curves are still ice covered and snow packed. No traffic today on the road.

I did have a couple of my flyguys go over! Oh yeah!

I am buried under a stack of covers, 4 of the 6 pack and one attack cat. I hear the roar overhead and no, it weren’t no tornado! Them rotten kids were buzzing the roof top, waking me up and stirring the coffee in my mug… all at the same time. Did you know you cannot sleep when you are giggling? Spudley grumbled some.. stood up and looked out the window…then rooted back under the covers where it was warm. I was still laffing! Lolol


I am also trying to come up with sumfin to get even…. Now, THERE is sumfin for you all to worry about!

Ok, so now it’s Thursday afternoon. I’ve been playing in the basement…Priming a panel. Answering the phone.. Making phone calls….I can’t believe all this stuff is going on!

Rx company called me… autodial. I called back. How bout there is a ‘conflict’ with/in the meds that I am no longer taking. ???? Yup. Spoke to a very nice young lady. Poor thing, she gave me the company ‘line’. The “pharmacists” will have to have a meeting to ok my old meds. Have I mentioned I don’t like being treated like a two year old? I didn’t give the little girl a hard time. She doesn’t know any better. I am still documenting tho!

The next px I make will be to the Ohio retirement system. This situation is getting a little old! I may be cute, but I don’t have a whole lot of patience with mind game playing nonsense.

Ok… so I take care of the Rx business… The phone rings again. This time it turns out to be a doctor’s office. This is a little morbid so you might NOT WANT TO READ the rest of this paragraph. Lady at M.D.’s office is calling me because my name was on the list to be notified/contacted. The ONLY name. I was to remind the patient to come in for a 6 month after surgery check up. The MD’s office was not aware the patient is deceased. I gave the lady the info she needed to close the office file.

All I can say is I wish I had at least been asked or told by the patient. I don’t know what else to say. Take care all of mine. Go in safety always. Remember to use caution when answering the phone.

Welcome home dear hearts, welcome home!

Well, it’s back to a gray day.  Had winter storm watches for this morning but nothing has happened out there except fog.  Or maybe they are clouds.  It IS above freezing so that’s a plus… I guess. 

I guess everybody knows I do the Mountain News.  What may not be known to every body is that I post the news on two other sites.  (Eons is home)

Well, some guy has been making increasingly filthy and suggestive remarks one of the other sites.  God knows I don’t take offense at much but this guy and his posts are really over the top. I have blocked and banned him from replying to anything/anywhere I might be.  Just a ‘heads up’ kids.  The world is full of baddies!

I was outside again yesterday.  Setting in the sun. Beautiful calm day.  No air moving.  Watching the six pack and the Attack cat playing in the snow.  I get so tickled.

Lily will be to burrow in the snow…  always ends up with snow and ice on her face.  Spudley wants to get up in my lap… especially when I start waving at my flyguys.  Lolol 

Oh yeah, them BBSBs went over and I got flashed!  I did my curtsy thing.  Lordy, I hope the neighbors aren’t up on the back hill watching.  They already believe I am a third cousin twice removed from Annie Oakley.  Lolol  Love you guys/gals up there! Just once….

OK there are a couple of new things going… Well ratz.. I just went looking in CCC and can’t find it there.  A ‘new name’ game.  I do know that the game is in Armed Forces News and Updates.

I have cracked up… My new name is Dipsy Farkleface!  Annie1946 (who sent me the original list) is Snickle Dippinshorts.  Wayne is Dinky Chickendunkin.  And best of all, the Boss’ new name is Dorfus Farkletush! Gotcha Boss!

Go play the game and add your name to the list!  Apparently, it doesn’t take much to cause me to go into hysterical laffter!  Lolol  I think the phrase is ‘simple minds; simple pleasures’!  I wrote down all of the names I received but I’ve lost the paper already!  Ratz!

Monday Edition…2010*2*1

WELCOME HOME, DEAR HEARTS, WELCOME HOME!

Magnificent day out there.  Oh my gosh.. Bundle up and come outside with me. Sun is shining and warm…Wind is chilly tho.  My lady, the Mountain looks gorgeous in her new winter coat.  I was outside earlier…

Or http://www.eons.com/photos/photo/682110-Spudley-and-Lily-in-the-snow[... laffed and giggled and howled.  The Lily is built very close to the ground!  If you’ll notice her little face and legs in the pic above you’ll see what I mean.  She was burrowing into the snow… I guess she was looking for a bone or sumfin but she had snow and ice hanging from her brows and whiskers.. lolol

The icicles on her legs ran all the way up to her belly.  Or is it the other way around? Whatever works… lolol Anyway, I cracked up at the sight of a mini-snowplow trundling (there’s one of my favorite words again-trundling) through the un-marked snow.  Nose to the ground…leaving the weirdest looking track…No mistaking that chest/belly mark in the snow… lolol

Well, did I mention that I was cute?  Should have seen my outfit today!  I talked to Annie1946 on the phone and she said I was ‘color’ co-ordinated!  ????

First of all, it looked warm… I go out dressed in old paint pants (black), a T shirt (white)and a navy blue sweatshirt with autumn designs on the front.   Not enuf protection from the wind.  Came back in… grabbed my hooded jacket (brown) and my boggin (black, brown & tan).  Out the door again.  Hmmm… the wind is still too much.

OK… so I remember I have one of them ‘snuggle’ thingies in the truck.  So, I wade thru the snow and grab the snuggle (deep rich red).  I put it on backwards; arms thru the sleeves?. Sleeves are way too long!  Did I mention I am cute?

So now, I am dressed for the windy weather… Snuggle protects the back of my neck.  If you put it on backwards, it will also protect you head and help keep the warmth in.  Did I mention I am cute?

My flyguys went over…Short contrails.  I waved… threw kisses…hugs… I got flashed… I added a new one to my routine… lolol  Now when I get flashed, I curtsy!  Did you ever try to curtsy while you are sitting down…?  It just takes determination and a small case of hysterics to get the job done! 

Another thing!  I didn’t expect any traffic today.  I think we had about 8” of snow… some places were deeper than others.  No drifts to speak of but still the low spots were filled in. 

No plowing of the road… What?  Plow one mile of county road past the black top (gravel road)?  For one lil old lady?  I don’t think so!

Anyhow, I am settin’ in the sun… laffing with the 6 pack and their game of doggy gotcha. Spudley was ‘it’.  A red minivan, two white pickups and a black jeep looking veh came slip/sliding up the road. 

The guy driving the red mini almost had a wreck.  You should have seen the look on his face when he spotted me. (told you I am cute) I cracked up again…Two of the vehicles passed later  going back down the mountain….( Couldn’t believe what they saw the first time?)  Lolol  The two curves are sooooo dangerous… 

Well, ratz!  McAfee is running some diagnostics and puters will be tied up or slowed down to zilch for a while.  Got a couple of ‘cannot fix’ notices…Right now putertoo is locked up…sheesh!

Well, I have the giggles again.  Nothing unusual here. I seemed to be extra tired and spent a lot of time sleeping. The sun has been out all day… I went outside to sit for a few.  I was really cute!

Had on old peach colored, covered with paint, kangaroo pouch robe… a long sleeveless tshirt over the top… No hat, gloves nor jacket. (I never seem to learn) Did have on my high top sheep mocs…Them babies do keep my feetsies warm.  Did I mention I was cute? Lolol 

Anyway, I got to the mailbox … saw and heard bunches of my flyguys and gals up there.  Ask me if I got flashed?  Lolol  Oh yeah!  I cracked up.  I often wonder what the guys in them BBSBs think if and when they can see me.  I need to tell you that the flashes are real…  not them little blinking red lights.  I mean real flashes.  Them babies are rolled into the sun light.  The whole bird reflects the sun.  IMPRESSIVE!  How do they do that?

It’s not accidental either, those flashes.  One would flash everytime I threw a kiss.  Am I telling tales out of school here?  Hope not, I really enjoy the interplay.

I’m still waiting for all the other services to arrive or do a pass by.  Lolol  I can see the creek and the neighbors now… Here comes the fleet, the shore patrol, the marines… tanks, landing craft.  Military precision… jeeps coming up the holler!  Flyguys, heldoctors, jumpers… Wow, That would be awesome but I think I’d need a larger coffee maker!  Anytime, kids, anytime.  Plenty of wood for campfires.

I also need to ask about the colors for ours.  I’ve been reminding everybody to wear red on Fridays.  Annie1946 reminds to wear the yellow ribbon.  Is there any official ‘remember ours’ color that every body uses?  I have a set of red, white and blue pins that I have had for years.

Red, white and blue are always safe to wear but is there a consensus on another color to call special attention to ours?  Let me know… just an opinion on the color would be fine if you would.

OK, now what else?

Oh, go to confession, Catholic or not!  (no disrespect here) It’s just that the world is coming to an end!  I now have a new coating of gravel on the road!  Yes, real live gravel!  Heard (read the house shook) the rumble of heavy duty trucks out front.  I look out the window and, wonder of wonders, I see two fully loaded dump trucks … spreading gravel!  I almost fainted!  I am now sure the rest of the county’s roads are in good shape.  Other than the property belonging to mr.a, I am the last person living on this road and the one who lives farthest from town.

Which reminds me.  Mr.a went past yesterday while I was sitting in the sun.  Sheesh! Gonna need to start packing the .38 when I go out. 

The telegraph system (read rumors) mr.a was put in jail for the alleged upset in the next county.  He is on the loose again.  My cup runneth!

Just in case… lolol… should we lose power/phone service this week end, don’t worry.  The dog food has been delivered.  I have plenty of supplies…The emer only propane tank is full to the brim… I have water in the tub and in the basement.  Still don’t have any lamp oil nor an old fashioned coffee pot. I will run to a nearby store to get some chips and snacks.     Not going to the 2 pumper tho… mr.a hangs out there a lot and sometimes does work for the owners of the store.

Guess that’s it for the time being… Take care all of mine.  Go in safety always.  Remember that Marvin says “Don’t shoot the delivery guy”.  (Would I do sumfin like that? )  lololol

Well, I have cracked up all day… The sun has been out most of the day. Was sort of iffy this morning. Lots of haze but I could still see blue sky up there. (At least, that’s what I think it was… it’s been a while)Wooooeeeee! Cold but soooo beautiful.

Now, let me tell you sumfin. This morning I looked out the window and saw that my flyguys had been up there a playing in the sunlite. Contrails all over the place… I decided to go out for a little bit…them BBSBs had a hot game of tic tac toe going.. In a few places, I could see where some of the clouds had temporarily been stapled together.

Then the clouds moved in and I could no longer see the contrails. Also discovered that I had icicles hanging from my tail assembly and my fuselage (read ‘nose’) had turned blue. Gee whiz, the wind was cold.

I had on my high top mocs, sweat pants, tshirt, sweatshirt and hooded jacket… none of which stopped the wind! I bundled my lil ol body back into the house! I am really not ‘into’ self inflicted pain! I didn’t have any gloves on either. Duh Paula! lolol

Then I’ve been receiving all these weather alerts.. Another Gee whiz! ‘They’ are predicting almost a foot of snow by the weekend. Back to saving the water in the tub until next bath time-just in case.

Called to order more dog food… still have enuf for a week at least but just in case. Well, the guy told me it would either today or tomorrow. He calls back and says he will deliver the dog food today after 1800 hours. (after dark) For me not to shoot him or his helper when he pulled into my drive.. I fell on the floor! He was serious!

I was talking to Anna for a few after this update on the delivery time and she cracked up! Anna tells me I have a reputation… lolol Ya suppose? Lolol Anna also says that them BBSBs are going to fly over and drop a net over me. Hmmmm…. (I don’t think they will keep me very long!)

So I go outside to sit in the sun for a while… I am dressed the same as earlier. It is just a smidgeon warmer…maybe 40 degrees? Wind has died down some but is still chill coming over the long fetch of the holler. Ok, so I am sitting there… air is ‘zap’ you dry. A very few, very small clouds… in one spot. To me, they looked like pebbles tossed up there.

The angle of the sun was just right… I saw sun ‘puppies’. Don’t know what else to call them. A dozen or so… and they looked like polished Australian opals. They did! So beautiful! They didn’t last very long because the dry air gobbled them up. I told the Creator, out loud, that he done good!

Back to the sitting outside. Told you I was wearing the old hooded jacket. Well, how bout my ears (ailerons) were getting cold? I pulled the hood over my ears. Trust me, this did not work well… For one thing it cuts down on sound reception.

Swiveling head back and forth trying to home in on my BBSBs does not work with a hood either. Head moves… hood does not! More than once, I turned head to find myself staring at the inside of the hood …blocked my view.

Swiveling head inside a hood also seems to generate activity in the Laws of Unintended Results or LOUR! Lolol

I now have a top knot hair-do that I did not plan on nor do I want! Next time, I’ll wear one of my home made boggins! Lololol At least the boggin moves when the head does! [Winter is coming] or view link

WELCOME HOME DEAR HEARTS, WELCOME HOME


Sheesh it is cold in here… well, not cold exactly but drafty. The wind has been blowing, the snow falling along with the temps. Pull up close to the heater and get warm… coffee is fresh hot and tea water is hot on the stove…

What can I say here? I did some laundry last nite, right? Did a load of paint clothes first…trying to get rid of the rusty water. Have nice sparkling white whites! Right? Wrong! If anything, my whites are orangier (I just made that word up) than before! Shut up, Marv!

I don’t know if any mail came today or not… been out on the back porch to feed the dogs and that’s about it. Way too chilly out there for me. I did tell you all that I rec’d my 1040A booklet, didn’t I?

I went through and filled out my IRS work sheet… lolol I crack up when I try to read the ifs, ands, or buts… if this, but not that, then do the other.

Now, I am dyslexic… can’t do numbers, dates, times at all. The strange thing about this number thingy is that I can add, subtract, do all kinds of things in my head but cannot do them on paper. I have to look up the dates for my kids birthdays because I cannot remember them… and, trust me, I was there when they were born! Didn’t help my recall system a bit! Lolol

I scan rather than ‘read’ the written word. If sumfin doesn’t make sense, I re-read. Sometimes, I re-read and it still doesn’t make sense. (I once wasted a whole day reading a poorly written novel because I thot I had missed sumfin the first time around. I don’t do that anymore! Once WAS enuf!)

I need to be nice to the Boss Man, the Garymeister, here… nice for a few minutes anyway. He has, at my request, taken over the newly formed group Armed Forces News and Updates… A fun military/veterans family oriented group. The Boss and I have been friends for several years now. We pick on and torment each other unmercifully. I have the best time at his expense…he puts up with me. Lolol Him do get even tho. And there are times when I head for the fall out shelter for the duration!

I noticed Annie1946 pounding on the door of the ‘fos’ this morning… now what has she done? Lolol

An aside here… did you know that humans developed an opposable thumb just so we could use the remote or text messages a million years down the road? Now THAT is forethought! Wonder what pandas are working towards?

Get your buns in here and get settled… got cold over nite… had snow storms off and on all yesterday afternoon and evening. Screaming winds and the storm gods were battling!

I did get the trash out… got the mail… saw a few breaks in the clouds, blue sky! Real live Blue Sky up there. I heard my flyguys up there. Naturally, I couldn’t see them cause the clouds were mostly tickling the tree tops. I waved anyway…

I watched for a few while the dogs played gotcha/tag and ran laps around the house… Can you say muddy paw prints on my clean kitchen floor? Sheesh… If I put washable throw rugs by the doors, the critters will make beds out of them. Or drag them out into the hall way. Broken field running for the meems, remember? Anyway, the rugs never stay where I want them.

Yes, the world is coming to an end! I scrubbed the kitchen floor… did a load of laundry. Dark clothes first this time… Maybe, just maybe, my whites will come out white this time…or not! Lolol

My creative side is starting to simmer… I have all these clam shells. Remember I bot some stuffed clams a while back? Well, I saved them… soaked them in hot soapy bleach water… scrubbed them thoroughly. I think I have 8 of them… I think I will do some mini-landscapes in them. How does that sound?

And remember I was going to paint the apartment wall and the bed black. Wall will still be black with large white leaf patterns… Just the one wall. But I am going to paint the bed a shiny Chinese red. I think this will look really neat with all the leopard prints on the bed and up against a mostly black wall.

Then I can paint a faux paper trim strip around the tops of the other 3 walls. Woooohooo!

The ceiling was painted sky blue with white puffy clouds. Hey, they were my walls.. lolol I painted the bedroom the same way finally.

Before I had normal work hours like everybody else, all light was blocked out of the bedroom and the walls were a dark battleship gray. You talk about your basic cave. Lolol

I guess that’s it for the time being… I’ve started a painting for Anna and El of the homestead. Need to get some more done on it tonite….
