Welcome home, dear hearts, welcome home.

OMG!  I feel like your basic turkey…stuffed, overbaked, underdone and way tooooooo full! Or sumfin!  Not only did I receive a care/gift package from a dear friend  (I am honoring his request to keep his name to myself) However, if he is ever put up for adoption, I will find him a home!  Lololol   Gotcha, Brat… now I got the giggles!

And then about 1630 hours or so, Anna calls… can she come up?… well sure!  Up she comes with a care package… Oh dear!  Ham, turkey, smashed taters, potato salad, home made biscuits, yeast rolls…a whole punkin pie … A LARGE loaf of Amish bread and a dozen apple dumplins… I can feel all my cheeks starting to grow and put on weight. But they are alllllllllll rosy!  Half the loaf of Amish bread disappeared before bedtime.  Nummy nummy good!

Watched part of a movie last nite… kinda cute… a thanksgiving type fairy tale called Night At The Museum.  Starred Jerry Stiller… Mork played a bit part as the ‘come to life’ statue of Teddy Roosevelt.  Why can’t I think of his name/  Mork?  Well, Ratz! Anyway it would be a cute movie to watch with your kids if it ever comes on TV again.

I gotta tell ya too… while I was busy feeding my face yesterday, Delilah and Ophie were playing on the bed… I cracked up!  They are similar in size but the Ophie weighs three times what the Lilah weighs.

Lilah was sitting up on her haunches and batting Ophie’s nose… The battle was on… Ophie would pretend bite and Lilah would nail her with her claws… This went on for more than 5 minutes… I got hysterical… Spudley finally couldn’t stand it any longer and broke it up… everybody had a good time!

And I’ve been trying to get all the stuff to center on my news letters… The Boss gave instructions one day on Blooming Boomers.  (Did you guys know I am a Bloomer girl?)
I tried it and it worked the first time…yea for me… then somehow in my addled brain, I used the parentheses instead of the greater/less thans.   Duh Paula… I finally remembered the little <>’s and the centering worked part of the time.

Trust me, I can rewire a lamp.  Work out the neutral ground on a three prong plug.  Cut, sand and glue pvc.  I can build a furniture kit without looking at the instructions.  I can super glue with the best of them.  (including gluing my sweatpants to the chair cushions) but I cannot remember the simplest things with the puters!  Sheesh!
Oh, another thing!  Tis the season for goodie catalogs… Oh my gosh….  Wishful thinking time… lol

Finally got a call from the RX company today… Only been two weeks since it was faxed to them.  Just a minor heads up here…. The scripts were held up because this company now requires a drivers license before they will fill some scripts… Pharmacies require more and possibly different info….Might be a good idea to call your pharmacist and see if there have been any requirement changes in your scripts… Safety issue here.

Will probably be another 10 working days before my stuff comes in the mail… It’s OK, I’m covered.  Another 10 days of the sleepies… and who knows how long it will be for the old body to become acclimated to the new stuff.

Looks like it’s gonna be another cold nite.  Sleep with the window open again.

Take care all of mine… go in safety always.  Remember how lucky we are to be Americans…every day!

Many hugs, much love and lots of today and future lafter… meems

WELCOME HOME, DEAR HEARTS, WELCOME HOME

HAPPY THANKSGIVING DAY!

2009-11-26 0925 HOURS

Get yourselves in here... and make yourselves to home. Coffees hot... there's all kinds of stuff to warm you up... How bout a mug of hot cider with a cinnamon stick to give it more flavor? Oh gosh... I haven't had hot cider in years!

Here we go with the coffee maker again... well sorta! Would you believe I knocked over a whole mug of fresh coffee last nite? Oh yeah! All over the bedroom carpet! Ratz!

Then this morning, the coffee pot and I had a couple of go-rounds.

While I tried to pour the last bit into the mug, the pot spilled coffee all over the counter top! I cleaned the pot and the counter. Filled the pot with water. Tried to pour the water into the maker well... this did not go well either! The water ran down the side of the pot... off the counter and onto the floor!

What am I doing wrong? I need some help here, kids! I know this coffee maker is gonna outlast me out of sheer orneriness. You also know that I am not gonna buy another maker until this one passes into the great coffee tin in the sky.

Of course, I could eventually get carried away and throw the darned thing over the hill and down into the creek... Oh, lordy pete, the temptations!

Has anybody seen the new TV show on the Alaskan State Police Force? OMG...Those guys are amazing... I sit here with my mouth hanging open in awe! Special people, those gals and guys.

I watch with the professional eye and I AM impressed! I don't have the patience to put up with some of the things people do and say! I wouldn't last two days on the road. I just know I would deck somebody or give them a mouth full of knuckles! I didn't dye my hair red for nothing! Suited my personality!

I always thought that I would eventually move to Alaska. I am a survival type, right? Now, I'm not too sure. But I sure would love the weather and the scenery... the new ideas, blending into the old cultural ways.

Did you know that gas is $7.00 a gallon up there? Or that a gallon of milk costs $9.50? Sheesh... Well, I don't drink milk anyway.. But as you guys know, I love my coffee... didn't hear the price on a pound coffee but I will keep listening!

Oh dear... gonna cut this short... Macy's Tday Parade is on! I love to watch the parades.... and Sesame Street is 40 years old this year! It's hard to believe.

Take care all of mine...go in safety always. Remember to love one another, share the good times and to be there as support in the bad times. It takes so little effort to be good to one another.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL OF MINE!

Many hugs, much love and lots of happiness to all ... meems

HAVE A WONDERFUL THANKSGIVING

TRY TO STAY OUT OF TROUBLE… Is tomorrow football day?

2009-11-25    1113 hours

Hey everybody!  Come on in…grab sumfin to drink… sumfin to eat…but be sure to save room for tomorrow.

One thing I am very thankful for on this magnificent day.  I am thankful the wind gods weren’t playing like they are today when the trailer burned.

Does my life seem to be turning into a badly written soap opera?  Gee whiz!  The last 3 months have been on the wrong side of the happiness list.

or view http://www.eons.com/photos/photo/649213-LEFTOVERS-2-9-11-25

This
is all that’s left of Mr. A’s place.  Notice the standing chimney to the right.  Chimney is all that is left of family homestead after it was burned/arsoned.

Enuf of  that!

Let’s see here… Yesterday, I met and talked to the new UPS delivery person.  His first name is Josh… about 30 yo… red haird and cute as a button!  Eat your hearts out ladies cause he has the most charming personality!

Now, as you all know, I am immune to charming men!  (Would these lovely green eyes lie to you?  In a NY minute!  Lolol)

However, the Lilyputz is not.  The little Horlette was flirting outrageously with him!  Talked and sang to him.  Talk about your little doggy magnetic personality.  We had to roust her out of the van 3 separate times… Spudley got into the van also… The Lil sat up… had her ears in the Yoda position… them little shoe button eyes just a glittering.

Josh said he wasn’t too sure about the first few deliveries he’d made… the whole pack charged up to him when he tried to get out of the truck… lolol  I explained the dangers inherent in the pack greeting…  Just to be careful if the Newbie leaned on him… could knock you over… while we were talking, the Newbers… was nearby… behaving like the sphinx.  Viva and Spud were playing doggy tag.  And the Lilyputz was still advertising for all she was worth.

Well, before Josh could get out of the driveway, here come the guys from the feed store.  5 bags of dog chow… One 50 lb bag of what they call chicken scratch… a mixture of all kinds of grains and seeds…I know, I know… the chickens are gone but the crows are not.

I have 5 of them critters out there now…Mama, Poppa and 3 youngun’s…All beautiful and shiny blue black…Talking to one another in soft murmuring tones…(.Nothing at all like the sounds the crows make when they are alerting at intruders or hunters…)  The most wondrous thing of all?  The Newbie was doing his sphinx thing not 20’ feet from the family..

Take care all of mine.  Go in safety always… Remember to watch the wild or tame critters, for that matter!  One can learn a lot by being quietly still…

And before I sign off here today… I went out to the mail box… sat out there for an hour and a half … got cold in the wind… wrapped myself in an old green flowered water bed top sheet (queen sized)… waved at my flyguys… lolol  I think I may have really impressed them with my attire!  Lolol  I got flashed… A LOT!  I am freezing my butt off out there and giggling like an idiot… Love you guys… Thank you…

Many hugs, much love and much lafter …. meems

Welcome home, Dear hearts, welcome home!

Morning, everybody.  Get your buns in here… Don’t know what to say about weather this morning…. Don’t need a coat out there but it sure looks miserable… The clouds are hanging out in the tree tops.  Even the trees look miserable…

I heard the crows complaining … Feed us Mom!  We are starving!  Yeah, right!  I should look so good and healthy.  Off I went to feed them… red robe, wild mane and all!

Well anyway, set yourselves down… and be at home… lololol  If you can.  The Newbie is in one of his lovey-dovey moods this morning…wanting Mom’s attention!  So far, he’s played tether ball with me and the chair.  Put his chin on my forearm.  Stepped on my feet.  Leaned against me.  Drooled on me.  And last but not least, he nailed my feet to the floor with his head.

Delilah has decided she wants to help do the News.  Just let me sit down for two minutes and here she comes… Up on my lap…then over to my left arm.  She gathers her feet under her and proceeds to edit and comment on everything that falls out of my fingers.  Lolol

Gots to tell y’all that I played with Google last nite… I should have been in bed but no, I had to get involved with Google!

I went looking for the author of the ‘deer roping’ story.  I really would like to give whomever the credit for his work.  The story is a keeper.  The earliest report of the story I could find was March 9, 2007.  Nobody seems to credit the author.  Course, I could have missed it.  An awful lot of pages referring to the ‘deer’ but none were specific concerning this very creative writer.  Either several names were given or none at all.

The Deer story reminds me of a story I read two or three years ago.  The humor and writing styles were similar.  The author is/was supposedly a Firefighter in a Southeastern state.  Something about two cops in a cruiser.  I can’t remember enuf of the particulars to go searching for this rambunctious tale.  Well, ratz… I would like to read more of this guy’s work… if I could just find it!

Anybody out there have any ideas of who this might be?

1310 hours….Well, the fire department left about an hour ago… Mr. A’s trailer is completely gone… It is still burning up there tho.  Please God, the wind stays calm.  We have a volunteer fire department…  I called Richmond at 1015 hrs… One engine company arrived at 1100 hours on the dot!

I went back to bed this morning… The dogs woke me.  I went to see what they were carrying on about… Saw the smoke… watched for a minute or less then started making the calls…Sheesh!  If it ain’t one thing it’s a dozen others.
OR http://www.eons.com/photos/photo/648494-MR-A-4

I
heard the pop of two rounds going off in the fire… then the dogs started roaring again.  The Viva started up the hill opposite the front of the house.  Went about half way up then turned around and came back home.

Sometime in the middle of this madness, I heard three rounds being fired from the hill.  Oh good!

Have tried to get in touch with Kim’s office about meds… Been a crazy week for her and her crew… Some how in all of this confusion, my meds weren’t ordered… I called the Rx company on Friday to check… then Kim’s office…then the Rx company last nite… no order in the works… Another sheesh!

I have plenty to hold me without making a trip to town… All I want to do is verify the order has been placed…

Need to go check the fire/smoke… Gots to keep an eye on it for my own safety…

Take care all of mine… go in safety always.  Remember to look up and wave at our guys when they go over… Heard them BBSBs up there this morning but couldn’t see them… too many clouds and a lot of drizzle!

Many hugs, much love… and some HYSTERICAL lafter on my part… meems

Welcome home, all of mine, welcome home!

Get in here and warm up. Sheesh, talk about your getting cold overnite, it was 28 degrees yesterday. Lots of heavy frost. The Newbie and the Viva stay outside and seem to love the cold. You should see the thickness of their coats. I can’t wait until ‘shedding’ season arrives next spring. Oh dear!

The sun came out for a while and I staggered out to the mail box. Wasted trip… Not a thing in that critter… not even an ant’s egg.

Well, not totally wasted… I saw bunches of my flyguys up there. I parked my buns on the tail gate. Searched the sky. No wind and dead quiet out there. When I did hear one of mine, the sounds came from an entirely different direction. The echoes are not coming from the usual areas. The leaves are mostly gone and that has a great effect on the bouncing of the sounds.

While I was scanning the skies, the Newbie started a singsong. Can you say ‘goosebumps’ up and down your spine?

I’m out front, right?… The Newbie is on the back porch. Newbs starts to sing…I hear a double echo… one off the hill opposite the back porch which bounces off the holler in the front of the house. The sounds overlap. Eeriest sound I’ve ever heard. I get the biggest kick out of watching the Newbs when he sings! Nose pointed straight up… muzzle puckered… eyes squinted almost closed…

Then everybody else joins in and we have the community sing-song! All noses up, lips puckered and all is well with their world. Lolol I do love my critters.

I did a no-no the other day… I fried up almost a pound of hickory smoked bacon… just for me. Froze the rest. Now, I have all this yummy bacon grease to mix in with the dried dog food. I digress (thank you KK … a wonderful word)

Back to setting on the tail gate… I started whistling ‘The Streets of Laredo’. (SP) and then I started whistling the dog calls to see what would happen.

Here she comes up the holler… the red tailed hawk… my whistle must be very similar to an injured animal or to the hawk’s call itself. I have learned so much up here.

I’ve learned about growing and harvesting tobacco… This is a vanishing way of life. I’ve been taking pix and documenting the many different steps needed to make a successful crop appear.

I’ve learned and saw for the first time the mating flight of the hawks in spring.

I’ve seen flocks of turkey feeding in the bottoms.

I’ve seen deer. A bear cub… a bobtailed cat. Heard the wolves/coyotes sing. Seen flocks, yes, flocks of cardinals. Have bluebirds nesting around the house. I have a swift’s nest built atop one of the shutters. I have a wren who lives outside my bedroom window.

I’ve seen all the colors of the rainbow painted on the clouds by the sun. I’ve seen storm clouds crawling over the mountain tops. I’ve seen the rain marching up the holler towards me. I’ve seen the rain not falling but blowing sideways parallel to the porch.

I seen the snow whirling in the winds… ice crystals dancing in the sun… leaves sliding down the sunbeams.

I’ve scented the aroma of skunk (I love the odor of skunk…had one as a pet), the mimosa blossom and the honeysuckle.

I know I am repeating myself but I value what I have now. Maybe this is my Thanksgiving message. Enjoy each day, it is so valuable.

Then there are the friends I have made in the past two plus years.

I’ll tell ya what… I will only mention the Boss and the Marv here… if I try to name everybody, sure as shooting I’ll forget somebody. These two keep me on my toes on a daily basis. The Boss, him been pickin’ on me… I guess he was covering for the Marv who was out of service for a week.

Fair warning here… the Marv is back on line.

I seem to be in a mellow mood… a rarity for me, I guarantee you! Lolol

Take care all of mine…go in safety always. Remember to appreciate what you have, especially the good memories…

Many hugs, much love and soft chuckles… meems (/center)

Went outside for a bit to sit in the sun… Was glorious out there… Saw lots of my flyguys. Got flashed… flashed, hugged and kissed back. Giggled but got dizzy and almost fell off the tail gate of the truck… Not really, but it was a near thing.

Spudley got on the truck with me…Ya know what? That lil dog is jealous! Truth, so help me! I’d wave at them BBSBs and Spud would get right in my face… lolol Every daggoned time!

TOMORROW IS WEAR RED DAY!

THE FOLLOWING IS FROM THE JC!  LOLOL  It’s a riot!

Roping a Deer
>
>Actual letter from someone who farms, writes well and tried this!
>
>I had this idea that I was going to rope a deer, put it in a stall,
> feed  it up on corn for a couple of weeks, then kill it and eat it.
>
>The first step in this adventure was getting a deer. I figured that,
>  since they congregate at my cattle feeder and do not seem to have much
> fear of me when we are there (a bold one will sometimes come right up
> and sniff at the bags of feed while I am in the back of the truck not 4
> feet away), it should not be difficult to rope one, get up to it and
> toss a bag over its head (to calm it down) then hog tie it and
> transport it home.
>
>I filled the cattle feeder then hid down at the end with my rope. The
> cattle, having seen the roping thing before, stayed well back. They
> were not having any of it.
>
>After about 20 minutes, my deer showed up -- 3 of them. I picked
> out.....a likely looking one, stepped out from the end of the feeder,

> wrapped the rope around my waist and twisted the end so I would have a
> good hold. The deer still just stood and stared at me, but you could
> tell it was mildly concerned about the whole rope situation. I took a

>The first thing that I learned is that, while a deer may just stand

> surprised when.... I reached up there to grab that rope and the deer
> grabbed hold of my wrist.
>
>Now, when a deer bites you, it is not like being bit by a horse where

>I, being smarter than a deer (though you may be questioning that claim

> day.
>
>Deer will strike at you with their front feet. They rear right up on

> noise and make an aggressive move towards the animal. This will usually
> cause them to back down a bit so you can escape.
>
>This was not a horse. This was a deer, so obviously, such trickery
> would not work. In the course of a millisecond, I devised a different
> strategy. I screamed like a woman and tried to turn and run.
>
>The reason I had always been told NOT to try to turn and run from a
> horse that paws at you is that there is a good chance that it will hit
> you in the back of the head. Deer may not be so different from horses
> after all, besides being twice as strong and 3 times as evil, because
> the second I turned to run, it hit me right in the back of the head and
> knocked me down, Now, when a deer paws at you and knocks you down, it
> does not immediately leave. I suspect it does not recognize that the
> danger has passed. What they do instead is paw your back and jump up
> and down on you while you are laying there crying like a little girl
> and covering your head. I finally  managed to crawl under the truck and
> the deer went away.
>
>So now I know why when people go deer hunting they bring a rifle with
> a  scope to sort of even the odds.
>
>All these events are true so help me God...

Rolling on the floor… Thank you, my dear heart, for sharing… I love it!

Helpful house hold hint… Don’t EVER mess with a goose either!  Geese are worse than a deer ever hopes to be.

This has gotten awfully long already but I have to tell you that the guy from the elec company came out today… He is one of mine!  YES!… Asked if it was ok if I gave him a hug… YES!… His name is Joe… Army guy… Fort Sill….

Take care all of mine..go in safety always. Remember to leave deer, horses, geese and little old ladies alone!  Lolol  Gotcha!

Many hugs, much love and lots of lafter… meems

WELCOME HOME, DEAR HEARTS, WELCOME HOME.

Well, gee whiz… go to the doctor, and sure as shooting, you’ll come home sick! Lolol Bad timing Paula! I have to laff cause that sure is the way it seems to work.

Right now, I am either too hot or too cold!

I have to tell you all the rest of Monday’s story of the trip to town. Lolol

Remember, I told you about tormenting Luli and her co-worker. Well, while I was there the Prisoner Transport Officer came in.. He really is a nice guy! He started telling us about a female prisoner who wanted PTO to strip search her… NO NO NO NO!

Well, since I understood the problems sometimes involved with with female prisoner, I volunteered to let him strip search me… I wasn’t doing nuffin at the moment.

I looked at Luli and she was crackin’ up. I started to giggle. Turned around to look at the PTO and he had disappeared… Rolling on the floor now… Luli, was it sumfin I said?.. The way I said it? WHAT?!? All three of us ended up crying with lafter. That is also when I got thrown out… sumfin about being a bad influence, me! Can you imagine?

And if I remember, tomorrow I want to call Johnny.. The Police Chief of downtown Booneville. He is a fantastic photographer. (Don’t tell him I said that tho) He has a photo of all these ding dings I torment when I go to town… Need to get his permission to post it in the News… or not! Lolol Gotcha Johnny! WooooHooooo! Took me ten years but I finally did it!

Another gift on Monday… Got home and there was a large box setting on the rail on the ramp to the side door. Oh boy! Now what?

It, the box, was from MeSneaks… picture frames, an article on the Pharaohs of Egypt. AND a box of maple sugar candies… real maple sugars… Oh yeah…

God love her, she always remembers the story of the emom who only had a penny and the maple sugar candies cost two pennies. I think we were really poor when I was small. So anyhow, at least once a year, I find a box of maple sugars… Thank you, my much loved daughter… hugs…

Marv is still having puter problems…Won’t be back on line until maybe this weekend or longer… Said the phone co. needs to replace a whole block’s worth of cable.

Annie’s puter is in the hospital again… she is using her daughter’s.

I’ve been in bed most of the day…just me and the critters but I did make a trip out to the mail box. And it is the 4D’s out there. That’s what the Boss Man calls this kind of weather… lolol Dark, dank, drizzly, drinking weather! Well, since this is a dry county, I am force to stick with the vanilla! I do, however, agree with the Garymeister… Other than sleeping in this kind a weather, drinking is the only answer! Or not!

Another thing! Sheesh! I have mice! The field above me was mowed right? Lots of displaced mice running around out there! Oh dear… You know what I must do now and I really don’t want to… Mice will eat your wiring, start electrical fires and entice the snake population to come inside; this is just the beginning of a very long list of damage they can do.

And finally, I kept the door closed today… too chilly to leave it open. The Newbie is not happy about this! Not even a little bit…

Won’t let me type in peace… puts his heavy duty chin on my hands…. Bumps and plays tether ball with me and my chair… drools on me… kisses me on the nose… looks pitiful.. wags tail and just about beats me to death. I let him out… and not 15 mins later he is pounding on the door… in-out-in-out! LOLOL and sometimes there is another dog underneath him on these treks…

2009-11-17    1105 hours…

WELCOME HOME, DEAR HEARTS, WELCOME HOME!

Ok, so here I am… stoppied up dose and all.  I think age is catching up with the ol body!  Went in to Kim’s office yesterday for my appointment.

Lordy pete, the place is a disaster!  I mean really!  This is the week she is moving into her new building.  I think I will complain here!  Not a magazine in sight!  No racks, no nuffin to read… Moving vans all over the place!  Mumble grumble grouse carp!  I always catch up on my reading when I am in the waiting room or exam room!  Shucky darns!

I grumbled at her and all she did was laff!  Lololol  Can you imagine? That Kim is one impressive lady!

Well anyway, we/she decided to change my meds… The Toprol was the critter causing my sleepiness… and a few other problems… Meems is gonna live if I can just get rid of this cold!

Gotta tell ya that Kim made me cry yesterday.  Not anything bad but extra good!  I admired a ring she was wearing… Beautiful square cocktail ring with crystals and onyx set in white gold.  She said to try it on… Oh, it is a knock out!  “Does it fit?”  Yup… “it’s yours.”   No no… yes, yes!

I’ve never had anything like that happen before… I was stunned, overwhelmed and on the verge of tears…  OMG!  I thanked her and all she said was ‘don’t you dare cry’ .. I’ll cry too… lolol

Tried to take a pic of it but I couldn’t get the focus right with the one cam and I need to do a diff set up on the other cam.

Well, after a trek down the hall to the lab, I was thrown out…

I dropped off the paintings at the Action Team… Got thrown out of there too.  And Pogo, the rotten kid, told me I was stuck with her.  When I tell her some of the things I’ve been doing, she just drops her head and laffs.  I think I am a bad influence on her!  Nah!  Not ME! Lolol  Which reminds me… Pog’s could you do me a big favor?  Would you see that Kim gets of copy of this one?  Thank you missy… hugs

After I left the Action Team,   I drove across the road to the flower shop… I’m looking for some silk calla lilies… Have another painting in mind for my lady of the flag…..

The Flower shop is gone!  It is now a second hand place… I went on in to see what I could see… Oh dear, two beautiful stuffed with veggies and herb type bottles.  Paintings immediately fell out of my brain… The shapes!  The color combinations… Oh dear!  Well, I bought them… and a small mirror and an abstract type chicken.  (Speaking of color, check the reds on the Bradford pear out front)

I got the heck out of there before I got into more trouble.  I headed for the courthouse.  Tormented the Sheriff, caused one of his deputies to blush and leave the room.  Lolol Can you see this happening?  Lololol  Oh yeah!

Sid’s office was too busy for me to start anything in there.  So I wandered down to the Office where Luli works… lolol  Tormented the heck out of her and her co-worker… Stopped by the Judge Magistrate’s office but him was busy too…Well, ratz!  I only got thrown out of two offices… I must be slipping!

I headed for home… and made it to Anna’s… Was only gonna stay a few minutes which turned into an hour or more!  I gave her my boots!  Yup…  took them off right there and gave them to her…  nice warm winter mukluk types.  Got them last year and they fit fine.  I put them on yesterday and they about ate the tops off my toes.  Ouchie ouchie!  Do your feet get bigger as you get older?

Any way… she turns around and give me a pair of Persian design silver rings. Same design on both but one has a mother-of-pearl inlay; the other has jet inlay.  Merry Christmas, Paula.

I finally got home…got the mail and sat out front for a while..Awesome fall day.  Some clouds, mares tails…a light breeze…88 degrees…and a lot of the BBSBs.  Had to sit for most of the carrying ons… sort of dizzy again.  I waved and threw hugs and kisses… and laffed when I got flashed! Lolol  Spud climbed up on my lap.  The Newbie spent some time leaning against me.  Viva came over to sprawl next to me…The wrecking crew and Lilyputz were playing in the sun…

I was out there early this morning with dogs, cigs and coffee… Only saw one contrail today but I did see some of mine up there… just a roaring!  Still checking for that second window… got the giggles here!

The
hunters were out playing up and down the holler.  The crows (watchdogs of the wild) were complaining.

Gotta tell ya I almost drove off the road on the way to town… the sun was up and the mists were rising from the ponds and streams… I got a good look at the clouds hanging below the mountain tops…  Most awesome sight in the world to look down a valley… to be able to see for miles.  Farms and homesteads sprinkled here and there among the forest and the streams and waterfalls… Can you say: Paradise?

Let see, what else?  Oh, I called the Electric company.  Gonna have another security light put up…I can pay to have the pole installed etc.. over a period of 5 years at $3.50 plus the regular charge for the elec.  Sounds like a deal to me!

I think I am going to have it put at the edge of the southeast corner of the field.. light aimed at the house.  There goes the view of the stars but safety first….  I’ve been having a lot of prowlers again… Not the hunters… prowlers… Sheesh.  There are some drawbacks to living out here.  I hear shots being fired down the holler from me right now.  Right now though, it’s the hunters on their 4 wheelers out playing.

Gotta tell you quickly about the drive home yesterday.  Lolol  Would you believe I turned on the wrong road?  Oh yeah… Drove for a couple of miles before things didn’t look right!  Found a spot to turn around and go back to the main river road.  I made the mistake of telling Anna about it… I will never hear the end of it either!  lololol

Well, I don’t often travel Rte. 11…and some things had changed!  Lolol  In fact I think it’s been almost a year since I went that way!  Lolol  Duh, Paula!

I think I best get off here and do sumfin besides sleep…

Take care all of mine… go in safety always… remember to not take the wrong turn when in the mountains.  Who knows where you might end up!

Many hugs, much love and lots of lafter… meems
