SUNDAY, 2011-11-20 WELCOME HOME, DEAR HEARTS, WELCOME HOME! Get on in here and make yourselves to home… There’s some extra chairs, fold up types, in the living room closet. Help yourself…there’s some rocker styles too. Anyway, I said I would finish the story of burial # 13… I need to mention a few more things about being on a dig. Besides keeping yourself warm, you need to take your own food and coffee. You also need to be prepared to share what you have… including cigarettes. No problem tho. Upon arrival at the dig, I’d gather all my stuff, painting knives, bristle and squirrel hair brushes, a trowel came in handy too. I’d pack all this stuff down the hill along with my coffee. Down the hill and over to the little trailer camper. There must have been a dozen or more of us in the trailer’s lil body. Size wise, it may have been built to hold two people at one time. There were 6 of us sitting at the small table… Can you say crowded? Lolol Anyhow, during the first briefing session, Tim advised everybody we only had 3 days to work at the site. Me, being me, I piped up and asked if an extension had been considered. Answer? Nobody wanted to A:stick their necks out…B: get involved because they had too much to lose. I just made the remark that I didn’t have anything to lose…and I didn’t. Now, mind you, this occurred back before I became a dispatcher. I really was shy and didn’t speak up much. Well, I worked on one site on Sunday. Got home and got to thinking about needing the extension timewise. I picked up the telephone, called Western Union, and proceeded to send a telegram to Ohio State Governor. John, my husband at the time, almost fainted. John says something like:…â€but you didn’t even vote for him!†My only comment was:â€He doesn’t know that.†Like I said, I had other things to do on Monday. Tuesday, I was off again. We have our usual mess exchanges in the camper… then out to brave the elements. Cold rain! The flood plain has now become a muddy mess. Sheesh! I am dumping the excess dirt in a pile outside the plastic tent. Back inside … more dirt… more trips. Well, I hear voices uphill and look to see what? There were 5 0r 6 guys, dress overcoats, patent leather shoes, briefcases, expensive suits? Oh yeah. I felt sorry for them… river clay is nasty and sticky. I don’t think they liked the appearance of their shoes and pants cuffs. Lolol I nailed Tim to find out who and what. Governor’s men and the dig had been given an indefinite stay. Keep working! Now, burial #13 was pretty much off to itself but there was an emptied grave site (No tent) next to 13. OK, so I am playing in the damp clay, scraping carefully, exposing more of the remains. I also dug a trench of sorts outside and on the higher side of the tent. This allowed the rain water to run down hill but not thru the burial site. I found some projectile points and an item that kind of reminded me of a metate (sp) or pestle. Didn’t know that much about anatomy at the time but I took it that the remains were of a female. I marked the burial goods location/directions then took the items to Tim. I looked for signs of posts settings (None) Sometimes I took some pix. (the Hamilton Journal did publish some of them… but attributed them to Paul (no ‘a’) Rice… (What? A woman can’t take pix?) Later, I had two guys assigned to me that I was supposed to watch. I saw several deer swim the river during our coffee break huddles. Now, remember… I am bundled up, working under a plastic covered A Frame thingy. It’s cold, wet and windy! The ground is wet… and my tail assembly is frost covered. Well, Tim came by… looked at 13 and said sumfin about cleaning it up and removing the protective plastic I had been sitting on. Tim told me to go outside…gather up the plastic, that I was to pull the plastic out of the tented area when he gave the word and lifted the tent. Well, I gathered up the plastic and was holding on for dear life. Tim got his timing off just a bit. He spoke and lifted at the same time. Me, thinking I was going to get a verbal warning first and THEN he would lift, me would tug and all would work smoothly! Wrong! He lifted, the plastic came out in a hurry and I… I went over backward, tail assembly first, into the empty site behind me. Talk about your teacup over nail polish situation! My tail assembly was soooo cold I didn’t know for at least two days that I’d bruised myself. I’ve often wondered how I survived some of my misadventures… I’ve often wonder about Tim and where he might have ended up. I only worked at the site for about a week but I learned a lot and I did have a good time. Lolol I think I will start looking for him and find out what the conclusions were. Was it a Hopewell site or Post-Adena? I’ll also try to find those pix I took of the burial goods. This dig occurred about the time I started working for the City of Fairfield. I was dispatching on Monday morning!!! It’ll all come back eventually or not. Lolol I am so bad at remembering the amount of time spent or passed. Then, there was the time I was at Houston Woods Park in Oxford. I struggled my way onto a newly fallen tree which now spanned the creek. I decided I would cross the creek by walking on the fallen tree. Well, I got out to about the middle… decided to sit and watch the water… to see what might be playing around down there below me. I saw some carp, may 8†long. Some crawdads… I was off in my own little world. Beautiful day! Lolol Then one of the boys got my attention… Mom? Mom! Look around you… lolol What?!? I looked around… and on every branch there hung a baby snake. Dozens of them… lolol Another interesting day!?! Just a thot here… If I ever ask if you want to go to the woods/creek/mountain side, tell me NO! You’ll be much safer! I think that’s it for now. Take care all of mine and go in safety always. Remember that being in the middle of nowhere is not for everyone! Lolol Many hugs, much love and lots of lafter every day… Meems
EMOM'S MOUNTAIN NEWS posted about 1 hour ago I knew something wasn't quite right about the first one... lolol 2011*02*03... SUNDAY 2011-10-30 WELCOME HOME, DEAR HEARTS, WELCOME HOME! Hey kids… I want to let you know that my tail assembly has been covered with frost for two days in a row. Lolol Lots of rain lately and no work on fence. Ground is too wet to work. I was outside today for a while. I got so tickled at my flyguys and gals… I got flashed when they were overhead. Pretty day.. I love this time of the year. Hibernating under the covers at nite…window open… and surrounded by 4 dogs and a cat! or view linkZara, Travis and Chester… Conference? or view linkAll 4 on duty or why I never get anything done! Let’s see here… what have I been up to lately? How bout stomping feet and throwing hissy fits because the puter soooooo slow? I’ve called the phone comp… gotten a high speed upgrade for DSL. Doesn’t seem to help at all during certain hours during the day. Can you say: not enuf bandwidth? Sound familiar? Lolol I like Skype and Yahoo IM but both give me fits! Skype will lock up putertoo in a heartbeat or drop me altogether. And Yahoo IM freezes up. I have a question here. How come it is that when Y-IM freezes up it ALWAYS captures my face wearing a horrible non-complimentary expression? I couldn’t look any worse if I tried. Lolol Does this sound like a personal problem to anyone? lolol I treated myself to a new toy! I bot me a Kindle! Yup, yup, I did. And I have access to Amazon Cloud. Wooeee! Can I get into trouble with books and reading?!? Oh yeah, I can! Right now, I am reading a book on flint tools and the dates of their manufacture… Does that sound boring or what? Lolol I have some flint pieces and I have one huge fossil out back. The flints I found in Ohio… the Fossil came out of the creek opposite Anna’s house. She is almost as bad as me about wandering up and down creek beds. I love to root around in creek beds and banks. She is also an expert on local wild plants. Oh dear, I just said sumfin nice about her. I must be slipping. (side note… El gets tickled but puts up with both of us… Dale, their son, just shakes his head and walks on) Tis deer hunting season now. Anna tells me to aim pistol up in air if I need to fire warning shots. The hills are alive with the sound of gun shots and hunters! Last Sunday, I heard a good ten to fifteen shots on the far side of the hills to the west of me. High powered rifles…Then there are the ‘black powders’…I think bow season is over. Anyway, I’ve given Travis (fence worker) permission to hunt deer on my property. He uses the meat to help feed his family. He’s not a trophy hunter. Travis doesn’t like crows tho. Lolol When I told him I listen to what the crows have to tell me, he agreed. He says they give away his location to the wild critters when he’s out hunting. Lolol He kind of reminded me of Easy’s (Gene P) complaints about similar events with the crows. My advice about crows is to make friends with them. Crows can be a great warning system for people too. I always smile when I think about Easy. We became good friends on another web site. He has passed but I know where he is.. He is in his boat, fishing on the lake or he is wandering the woods way up north of me fussing with the crows. Be at rest, my dear heart. Enjoy. What else? Oh, the Marv… He’s been up to no-good again! Would these lovely green eyes… flutter, blink, wink! I’m not sure what our present status it. Are we still engaged or married or disengaged? My short term memory ain’t what it used to be, darn it? He seems to blame me for all his problems? Lolol Well, at least I haven’t moved next door to him. Hey Brat, that’s a plus in any persons language. So watch it! Guess that’s it for the time being. Go in safety always, all of mine. Take care and remember to always be nice to crows, they come in handy sometimes! Many hugs; much love and lots of lafter… meems Edit blog entry

WELCOME HOME, DEAR HEARTS, WELCOME HOME!
WOOHOOOOO! Get out here and enjoy this magnificent day! Sun’s shinning… the Cloud Gods are up there playing hop-scotch or sumfin… racing across the skies! The Wind Gods are up there chasing them! Deliciously cool!
Let’s see here… I walked around the front yard and then noticed sumfin new/different down by the chickyduck pen…
The walnut tree has been snapped off by the winds and now lies crumpled and in pieces in the bush-hogged field…part is hanging off the edge of the drop off… That tree is/was 6 to 8 inches in diameter. Poor thing was in the wrong spot somehow. Litning struck and killed it several years ago. It could have started a hellacious forest fire but the Storm Gods were kind. No fires… but it sure did split the main trunk and kill the tree.

Now here comes the good part! I called the WX at Jackson to report the ‘damage’. Well, in the background, I heard a guy’s voice semi yelling ‘’I want pizza’’. And me being me, I invited myself over for some of the pizza.
The guy on the phone said the background voice belonged to one of mine who had just gotten back from Afghanistan! YES! One of mine! I asked to speak to the guy… they put him on the phone! I thanked him for all of us… I also babbled like an idiot but he was very kind. And so sweet…
Wonder if another tree will go down so I can have an excuse to call back to Jackson? Hmmmm…… If I do, I really must ask him if he is interested in older women… I can hear him hitting the floor now… lololol
OK, I remember telling you about the go round I had with the hammock… well, that saga continues.
After my struggle, I decided to go downstairs and get the pillow and mat that came with the hammock. Maybe, just maybe, I might get that to work. Wrong! I’ve decided that I am chicken! Lolol anyway, I put the mat and pillow on and tied them down to the mesh. Been all fixed up for about a week…
Well, I’ve been hearing this thumpy noise from the back porch. I figured it was either from the dogs/kittens or both romping around out there.
Well, I was sort of right… The hammock is now upside down. The mat is twisted and partially resting on the floor and the pillow is dangling. Seems like the Imp Brigade have been using the whole setup as a trampoline system. Sheesh!

AND A BIG YES! I think I’ve found somebody finally to do the fence, one drive thru gate and one walk thru gate that I already have. It’s only about a third of the ground area but much better than nothing. The dogs will be safer and I can always add to it later.
Then again, maybe should I go out to the fenced area to stay. Weather aside, I would probably be safer? How bout Shadow ate my phone cord and none of the other cords work..?.. On the upside tho, I bot two cartons of ‘moose tracks’ ice cream when I went to the store. I’ve died and gone to heaven… It’s vanilla ice cream wiff iddy biddy Reesey type pieces and big chunks of chocolate. Yummmmmmmmmyyyyyyyy! Lolol
Guess that’s it for the time being. Take care all of mine. Go in safety always. Remember when all else fails, climb aboard a playpen and hoist it to the ceiling. Take a Kindle with you and a pot of coffee…
Many hugs, much love and lots of laffter… meems

WELCOME HOME, DEAR HEARTS, WELCOME HOME!
Hey Brats! Get out here on the porch for a while and watch the clouds. Beautiful fall day here on the mountain and my Lady is showing all her gorgeous colors…all set against the deep blues and greens of the firs and pines. When the sun’s rays hit the oaks and maples, they light up like the fiery jewels they are.
Coffee’s fresh for a change…lolol Would I serve antique coffee in modern cups… absolutely! Lolol and the breakfast/snack goodies are Jelly Cream Pies… chocolate covered and strawberry filled. I think I am addicted. Help selves, find a seat and enjoy… No feeding the dogs please. They get more than enuf fattening stuff as it is. Come to think of it, so do I!
Let me get this out of the way first. I had convinced myself that no decent self respecting germ would/could attack and thrive on me. Was I wrong or what? Lolol The good part of this, I lost 5 pounds.
Pups are doing ok. Sheesh… the Shadow spends as much time under my robes and caftans as I do. Stormy is as happy as a clam in butter sauce. The Lily is still grumping… and Pyggs? Pyggs is being his usual charming self. (and for the Marv, who always worries that I am not getting enuf exercise, training pups and young dogs is not compatible with a sedentary life style) I can see the Marv now… hitting dictionary mode while he tries to figure out what I just said! Lolol) Meems is being bad.!!!
Almost had another great Pyrenees given to me. Three year old male. I had to tell the lady about the dangers (Dog killer )out here. The lady thot it over and decided not to bring the dog, Maverick, out. I told her I understood but was disappointed. I do like those huge monsters. They, in their way, are so gentle. Anyway, I’m still trying to get a fence up. Haven’t heard from Tim so I called his cel and left message.
I don’t know if I told you or not, but I did have a retired cop call me about his dogs…one adult and one pup have disappeared. He is UPSET!
I’m gonna make one more complaint here! I did manage to get outside for a couple of hours a few days in a row. My complaint??? There must have been a gazillion chiggers out there waiting to gang up on me. I almost look like I have the measles or sumfin. And I itch. (Is there an echo in here?) Tick season seems to be over, thank goodness. Now all we need is a heavy frost! The itchies will be all gone til next year!
Oh, I almost forget the rest of the work routine. Marv, I do deep knee bends and play 5,000 paper pick me ups after the monsters do their paper thing! Never fear Child, that I will ever get totally out of shape!
There’s oodles more… I have a brand new Kindle to play with! And I bot a memory thingy for puterwon. I had to call about the Kindle. Wasn’t down loading very quickly.
Well, a really nice young man named Matt had the misfortune to answer my call. Lolol He even checked with his engineers and co-workers about my reception. The consensus was ‘’poor’’ to ‘’no’’ reception in my area. Nah, really? Do you suppose? Lolol that and the guy with the cb beams and the linear amplifier. Sheesh!
Anna called to remind me that it’s hunting season. To aim pistol up if I have to fire any warning shots. And now I’m running out of room.
Take care all of mine…go in safety always. Remember that flu bugs are NOT particular about whom they land on!!!!
Many hugs, much love and loads of laffter… the recovering meems

Welcome home, dear hearts, welcome home!
Sheesh… guess who’s had a 24 hour virus/ food poisoning/ or sumfin just as interesting or misery making!?!?! Lolol Thank goodness, I’ve been able to stop making the bathroom into my temporary apartment! Too much info…? But while I’m on this subject… why is it that the phone will ring or a dog will want in or out or whatever when I am taking a bath? I was in the tub the night someone arsoned the house across the road. I think tho, that I will recover… I have only lost 5 pounds… that’s the plus. And, this is a biggy… lolol I have eaten two bagels, a can of mushroom soup and lots of fluids since it all settled.
Today…today has been fun… I had another bagel (breakfast..I got up at 1500) and then this evening, I was craving chocolate… Yes! Well, I got the package of pecans out… and the jar of hot fudge. Oh yeah! Warmed it up in the nuke machine… grabbed a spoon and headed back to the apartment… lolol My idea of heaven… Shut up Marv!
And then, there is a 16 yo male escapee from a mental institution. They’re not even looking for him. His family lives within 5 miles of me. Poor kid, he’s just out there wandering around…Nobody wants him, a person with a low to non measurable IQ… not even his family. I’ve already been warned NOT to take him in nor let him in. This seems to be SOP here in this area. I had no idea this type of thing could still happen in today’s society… Obviously, I am wrong.
Anyway, before I came down with the ‘’flying hoe handles’’ I did manage to get outside for a few hours the other day… It was gorgeous… My fave time of the year… Same day, the handle flapper do-hickey on the toilet broke. I thot that was really cute too. A couple of those slide thingies took care of it. One on the flapper and one on the handle. It works! Lolol Doesn’t take much to make me happy!
Here’s really a cute one… Thanx to the Marv for posting the info about my puter problems… Problem may start again tomorrow morning after businesses open. Was told the phone co is updating/changing their/our email system and the system keeps crashing. Well, ratz! It’s crossed my mind that the phone company would also need to update their system to meet standards on 911 enhanced emer phone info. I think my cup runneth over… or sumfin.
I rec’d an email from the ‘’system’’ dated 5-jan-2009 in yesterday’s email. Where do you suppose that info has been residing for 2 ½ years? A 550 type message. Sheesh… I am beginning to believe in an overlapping universe… I do understand the concept… I was reading Isaac Asimov when I was 10 or 11. The man was brilliant! But he was also a skirt chaser! Lolol I saw him interviewed one time… and he was a real rascal!
And then there was an incident with the monster Shadow… It might have been last Friday? Not sure but anyway, I was in one of my caftans. I collected the trash… Decided to take the one bag out to the non-existent curb while I collected the mail? Right? Right! OK, so off I go!
Put the bag in a trash can… look in the mail box…3 send us $ for something or other charity/green organization and a CHRISTMAS catalog. (I’ll talk about this catalog another time)
I walk a few feet away from the roadway, looking at the mail while I am walking… I whistled for the dogs. Next thing I know, I have a large red pup on the underside of my caftan! Oh dear..
Shadow hasn’t a clue as to why I am dancing and screaming at the top of my lungs! (what is this thing I have going with red?) This time it was a red critter instead of one of my robes. I, however, knew what was happening and it didn’t help me a bit! I managed to dig him out and then cracked up… I have a couple of bruises but nothing serious! Shadow naturally was happy as a clam… He had whipped up a new game and he got MOM’s attention all at the same time. Oh dear! Shadow also helps me at the keyboard. Lolol
view link
Another thing… I got the floors raked! TaaDaahhhh! And here you guys all thot I would never get around to it ever again…raking, that is! Lolololol
Keep your fingers crossed for me for email system update… Take care all of mine. Go in safety. Remember don’t let the sorrowful eyes and tongue hanging out fool you… especially if attached to a pup!
Many hugs, much love and lots of laffter meems
SATURDAY 2011-9-11 HEADS UP EDITION or is that addition? Whatever! Welcome home, dear hearts, welcome home! The Heads-up part::::: Talked to BratiRi aka Suzy Blue Wire, our favoritest Eons Team member… or not! Lolol I am writing this to pick on her! Would I be nice? Have you ever known me to be nice? Shut up, Marv! Miracles do happen once in a great while! Well, ratz! Ri had a set back in her recovery… Back in the Hosp but improving mightily. Told me she was glad I didn’t call yesterday because it would have hurt to laff. Believe me when I say I gave her a hard time today but she did get tickled and laff some. I complained that had I known she was not comfortable laffing yesterday, I would have called her then! She cracked up! Ri said to send her love to everybody and that she misses all of us. Please keep her in your thots and prayers… She is rotten to the core but I love her anyway! (No accounting for taste) Lololol Gotcha Brat! Keep improving or I will move next door to you! That’s a promise and a threat. (Even the Marv backs off when I say that! Lolol ) I did manage to get out back for a while today. It’s a lot cooler today with big puffy white clouds… None of them miserable gray ones, thank goodness! Anyhow… I started cleaning and straightening up on the back porch. (Not that it needed it… Would these lovely green eyes lie to you? Flutter flutter blink blink!!!!!) The kittens are having a field day out there. Bellies are full… Mama’s milk is nutritious. The temps are cooler and they are so very active. Gee, with no help at all, they removed everything from the cupboards except the plant food bin (It has a lock top) And I got to thinking… I have chicken wire out there. I can use it to protect the lilies and lotus in the front pond. (I’m not a hoarder, but I do set re-usables aside just in case) Which reminds me, I have some silk shirts that I want to give to Anna. She might be able to use the fabric in a quilt. Did I tell you about the hammock I got last year? Got it at a junk store. I moved stuff around so I can use it on back porch. (I do need a shed) Anyway, I climbed aboard the finally set up hammock. Was trying to take pix of the kittens. Lolol Pix didn’t work… I was too slow to keep up with the little ones. I was really comfy… until I tried to get up/out! I thot I was gonna’ spend the rest of my unnatural life suspended between the floor and the bottom of mesh. Did I mention when I sat up, I bottomed out? Oh yeah! Lolol I thot that I would just be able to swing my legs over the side and then stand. Trust me, it didn’t work that way. I finally had to hang on to the mesh and the stretcher bar. Roll over on my side… work my knees over the edge… planted knees on the floor. Grunted and groaned and lifted my buns and finally made it to the floor. (I think I might have prayed while I was down there) Managed to get to my feet without doing too much bodily harm. Do hammocks come with written instructions?… I think I need some! Written instructions, that is! Lololol I’m off and running again. Take care all of mine. Go in safety always. Remember to read the directions before trying out a new piece of lawn furniture. Just in case! Many hugs and much love. Loads of lafter. Remember that puters and hammocks have much in common! They’ll both do a gotcha if you’re not reallllllly careful meems
Friday 2011-9-09 Welcome home, dear hearts, welcome home Gee, I started this 3 days ago… and I’m just now getting back to it! Can you say busy and frustrated? Was in the best mood.. started to work on the News..took some picks of the monster sleeping on the floor in here. Would you believe that ninety mins later, I was still try to get the 1 pic to upload? Pix went into the system with no problem. Off to a good start right? Wrong! I could NOT find the pix! I finally found what I was looking for under ‘’games’’. Don’t ask me why they were under games?!! I have no idea what I am doing to begin with anyway! Lolol or http://www.eons.com/photos/photo/909465-Doggy-Tag or http://www.eons.com/photos/photo/907657-The-monster-has-grown This has been a busy week… in some ways. Had lots of rain. Talking to the neighbors… to Richmond… and to Anna! Lolol Now, Anna wanted to borrow my big dog cage to take her female to the vet. No problem… she came up to pick it up and brot 2 jars of her homemade salsa and some home grown maters and some pears. Wowser! On the home made/grown goodies! She and Lily ignored me again! Just as well, I had the giggles anyway. There is something about those two talking to one another that absolutely cracks me up. The prolonged conversation continued yesterday afternoon when Anna brot the cage back. This time Anna brot me half a watermelon. OMG! I dove into the watermelon right away. Can you say, yummy, sweet and tasty. Oh dear! I went to bed last nite chubby full! I dipped chips in the salsa. Then I mixed the salsa into cream cheese with onions mixed in. Oh my goodness… So yummy! The salsa can be used as a cold soup type side dish… or poured over a scoop of the cream cheese mix … a couple of mint leaves…some cross cuts of chili peppers for décor and plop the whole thing on a fresh cabbage leaf. A few chips, or not, and you have a meal. I called Anna this a.m. raving about the salsa! She sounded surprised that I liked it so well. Hey, if it’s good, it’s good! Lolol I tried to sound pitiful so she would ( hint, hint, hint) bring me some more. Lolol I’m tellin’ y’all… that woman can cook! Anna, hubby El and I have this running situation/prank going. El owes me a million dollars that I am supposed to find in my mail box one day/some day! Anna has started running a tab also. She thanked me for the loan of the dog cage… I told her to put it on my bill! Lolol I think I put that backwards but it was close to what I meant! Lolol Do you know that normal people think the 2 or 3 of us are arguing? That idea cracks all three of us up! Oh here’s another goodie… I read an article about how talented (in a different way) dyslexics are. Did I tell you that I am dyslexic? ( Oh yeah. Just in case y’all wondered where I came from. Contrary to Rodney’s opinion I do not come from outer space) Big article today in Yahoo’s news. Lolol I read the article and chuckled… No matter what the scientists say; they still do NOT understand the way the brain works. lolol Guess that’s it for now. Take care all of mine. Go in safety always. Remember to slow down when turning a corner… It’s safer that way! Many hugs, much love and lots of lafter… meems
IT’S TUESDAY, I THINK? 2011-8-11 My gosh! The days pass so quickly now. Almost Labor Day already and just yesterday I was in a January freeze. One thing good about this rapid passage is that one can say ‘’and this too shall pass’’ and it does. This last Sunday, Grasscutter was out to mow. And for the first time since forever, I could smell the freshly cut grass . I mean it’s been years since I can remember smelling the lovely aroma. It was wonderful. Well, naturally, I park my buns on the front porch and just sit! or http://www.eons.com/photos/photo/906480-Chocolate-Tree-2-11-8-25 I thot about the things I should/could be doing but no, I decided to live in the moment! Sky was beautiful… the air was cooler and dryer than is has been all summer. The critters were spread out over the cool concrete napping. Lolol There was peace in my world and I was content. This mesmerizing time lasted for all of 15 mins at most. Lolol I hear a vehicle coming out of the west. So do the dogs. Lily races out to the end of the driveway and starts yodeling. The monster Shadow stayed by my feet… wasn’t too sure what was going on. I did tho…lolol And sure enuf, here comes Anna on her way home from church. Lily knows when Anna is on her way past. Lolol Well, I waved Anna in… here she came… in the drive… out of the truck and up to the porch. Lily yodeling and talking the whole way. Anna gets up here on the porch and grabs a chair. Lily sits in front of her and they start their private conversations. Eye to eye…Both of them singing, yodeling and talking over all the local gossip. God forbid I should interrupt their chatting. Neither one of them missed me when I came inside to get some paperwork that I had done for Anna. (I enclosed a pic of my black eye. Did I get any sympathy? I don’t think so!!!!) or http://www.eons.com/photos/photo/906481-Pyggs-and-the-Shadow-2-11-8-25 Another thing… did I tell y’all about the yellow caftan? I ordered a couple of inexpensive ones over the puter. One yellow and one red. I wore the yellow one first. I’m not especially fond of wearing yellow but hey, it didn’t cost a million. Anyway, I looked terrible…washed out… pale and sickly… sheesh. I don’t need that kinda look at my age. Lolol Anyhow, I threw the ylo caftan in the laundry…washed and dried it and gave it to Anna… She loves to wear the color and also loves yellow flowers. Daggone it… she looks good and sunny. Oh well, she is a Summer person and I am a Fall/Winter type colorwise. Oh, I gotta tell you about this one… Y’all know I watch/listen to the real cop shows. Well, I finally saw sumfin funnier that the cops rounding up live stock which had escaped from the Nativity set ups at Christmas time. On nite last week, two guys were dispatched to capture a gator in somebody’s garage/car port. Poor little thing, it was all of two feet maybe. Yes, I know about gators and crocks and how much damage they can do to a victim. However, I sat here and watched those two trying to get the lil feller trapped, taped and removed from the property. Under the car… move the car. In the corner, try to trap. Through the lattice work on the side of garage. A ewe turn and back thru the lattice.. Well, kids, I was cracking up! Not that I would have done any differently than they but the sight of two 6 footers after a two foot gator was all I could take. Lololol The guys finally managed to grab it and tape its mouth… Then out to a waterway and release. Whew! Lolol Well, my unknown visitor has been at it again. I found a Pall Mall cig butt in one of my flower pots the other morning. I smoke cigars… and I definitely do NOT put my cigs out in my dirt filled flower pots. None of my company/friends who come to visit smoke. How do you suppose it came to be crushed in the pot that was on my front porch? This kind of thing has all the signatures of mr. A. I’ve checked and one person thot he might be back in the area. We’ll just have to wait and see. Guess that’s it for now. Take care all of mine. Go in safety always. Remember to check your garage for itinerate visitors. Especially if you are barefoot! Many hugs…much love and lots of lafter meems
