2011-7-1...

I have no idea what day it is! Lol
WAIT TIL I CHECK

Well, I guess I’ll have to go along with what the puterwon says. July 12, 2011. I know where all the time went sort of…lolol

WELCOME HOME, DEAR HEARTS, WELCOME HOME!

Might just as well get comfy cause you’re gonna be here for a spell… but only if you want to catch up on the latest…lolol

OMG! There have been almost daily power surges outages for more than a week… If it ain’t the storms, it’s the heat… Yesterday was over a 100 in the shade on the back porch. Today it got to 98.. again, in the shade. The humids are a killer… I don’t know how they farm here in the mountains with that kind of heat going on. I know that Anna and El pace themselves.. work outside early in the day and late in the afternoons. But still, it’s so oppressive.

Well, I gotta tell ya about Anna and El. God love em, they both came up here last week between the downpours. Anna driving the suv and El was driving the tractor with the bush hog. El mowed the field, Anna and I sat on the shady front porch and ran our mouths while Elmer slaved in the sun. Anna has the boy well trained… lolol (The field needed cut so the measurements for the fence could be made) They wouldn’t take any money even for gas. Well, I told them both I would think of sumfin and I did!

The next day, I called down there and told Anna that I owed El 24 hours of nice… to be sure to let him know. She said she would. Well, she forgot… lolol and then we both decided at the same time that his 24 hours were gone/used up. We got hysterical… poor Elmer… lolol Elmer heard her side of the converstion…’24’ and the giggles…wanted to know about the 24. This sent us off into another fit of hysterics. I don’t know if she ever told him what the ’24’ meant or not…I did get all over her for not mentioning the cam. Daggone it, I wanted to take some pix of them up here.

And I need to tell you that Stormy is a perpetual motion machine when she’s awake. She torments the Pyggs…shredded a whole roll of paper towels all over the kitchen and the hall. She’s not very big but she has already learned what chairs are about. If mom has anything like food in the middle of the table, she can manage to get to it.

I’ve raked the carpet in the bedroom, used the curry comb on it… Used the small vac… had it looking purty good for about an hour. That’s as long as it lasted. The little girl seems to have an excessive amount of ‘lint and paper’ fall out. I am finding interesting things buried in the covers on the bed. All three of them make their own little nests/retreats over there behind me. Sheesh. So far, I’ve lucked out and not found any additional critters under the blankets or pillows…I’m afraid it’s on a matter of time tho until I do! Remember the black snake in the bedroom doorway?

Oh yes, the Grasscutter came out to mow… with all the rain, the grass/weeds were growing like crazy. This plantain is over 36” across and the seed stem is 27” high.

or view link

Then he came out another time to help me put rocks around the front flower beds. No problem… didn’t take too long with the two of us working. I did ask him to take me down to the two pumper (One not working right now). Off we went down the road.

Well, on the way down the mountain side, I got to telling GC about Tim, the maleman, leaving a lite bulb in the mail box. Told him how tickled I got. And I just said, ‘If you see him, tell him how I raised a ruckus about ‘it.’’ Lolol GC comes out with… OK, I’ll tell him how upset… that you wanted a red lite! Well, I fell out of the truck! Lolol I never thot of that… GC did a gotcha on me! Lolol I’ll get even tho, just wait! Then on the way home here down the road comes a nanny with her two younguns going home. Daggone it, another time without the cam.

Oh, some bad news here. I finally got a hold of the JC. Found out that he had been injured in a cycle accident. Apparently someone driving a van rear-ended him and he ended up in a ditch with the cycle on top of him. Has 11 broken ribs and 4 fractured vertebrae. Can you say Ouchie? He was a little spacey when I talked to him the other day but he’s alive and that’s all that counts. JC is a good man, honest and hard working. He and his son have opened a new business…Tshirts with sayings, titles and adv’s. I’ve asked them to do a shirt with my black eye pic on the front and Granny Grunge designs on the back. Lolol Don’t know if they can do it but I promised to pay extra if they could/would. All SherriAnn’s fault…

And last, but not least, there’s the Marv. Sheesh, what a pest! Lolol We did manage to skype for a few the other day. Did you know he’s lost some weight? Gotten a military looking hair cut? And has let him mustache grow out natural… Don’t ask me about it, ask him! Lolol There was sumfin else I wanted to tell on him but all I can remember is it is about an ashtray in a car? Oh well, it will come to me eventually. OR view link
Ain't him cute? lolol gotcha!

I think I have stirred enuf stuff today… I’m still on midnite shift… still trying to get estimates on a fence…and praying that we don’t have a power surge right now…

Take care all of mine, go in safety always. Remember no matter how many broken ribs, being alive is all that counts!

Many hugs, lots of love and gobs of lafter even on a bad day. meems

Welcome home, dear hearts, welcome home.

Sheesh!  Get in here where it’s cool.  It is 90 out there and nothing, nothing is moving!  The birds aren’t even singing.  The rag taggers have stayed in all day…

Well, I got the bills paid/checks written last nite.  I even went out at 0200 to put the envelopes in the mail box.  Can you say the meems is now broke?  Lolol  I’m also a little grumpy.  I didn’t get to bed until 7 am?  Somewhere around that time anyway.

Now, I want to let you in on some of the emails I receive.  Lolol  Oh dear, I read one (from a party who shall remain nameless) that ordered me to get my lazy butt out of bed!  OK, I’ll have y’all know that my butt is not lazy!  It is just laid back, relaxed, and comfy to sit upon!  My tail assembly needs tender loving care.  It’s the only one I have!  So there!

Here’s another one.  I went out to check the mail box.  Stormy went with me.  Her just a talking all the way out and back.  Anyway, I opened the little trap door on the mail box and what to my wondering eyes should appear but a gift from Tim, the maleman!  Wrapped in a clean paper towel was/is a mini lit bulb for my at the moment burned out candles.

I consider that a sneak attack even tho he warned me he was going to do the candle thing!  I absolutely howled, whooped and hollered.  There I am at the end of the driveway, bent over from the waist, laffing till I couldn’t breathe.  I even got dizzy but managed to stagger over to Tildy till I was able to walk.  Lolol  Tim, I WILL get even, just you wait!  Have you been talking to Marv… I’m beginning to think there is a conspiracy going on here.  Obviously, some people don’t have enuf work to keep them busy.  Fair warning Brats,  I have a very long memory.  Lol

Then, there’s limerick thing from the other day!  This one was added to my blog page by the rotten brat, Ozarkreader.

posted by ozarkreader 4 days ago

There is a fair lady named meems
Which is just as odd as it seems
Hold on to your britches
She keeps us in stitches
By writing her blog up in reams

And then I came up with this one for a friend out there in cyber space…lolol

There once was a chef named Drake

Who attempted to bake his first cake.

He tried chocolate and white

And orange delight

But his oven refused to partake!

There once was a lady named meems

Who’s not nearly as nice as she seems.

Stark naked she runs

Showing all of her buns

But wears bug spray so shiny she gleams.

Now this one might be offensive to some, fair warning.  I got this one from my good neighbor, Dorothy.  Sorry, but I think this is a riot.  Bad meems

There once was a pervert named Weiner

Who had a perverted demeanor.

Forced from the hill

For acting like Bill

Now Congress is one weiner leaner

(MM)

Oh dear, meems is out of control sort of…lolol  I have the best time with limericks.  Lolol  Anyway, take care all of mine… go in safety always.  Remember that too much orneriness can be debilitating!  Oh yeah!

Many hugs, much love and loads of laffter your way every day!  meems

Welcome home, dear hearts, welcome home!

Here’s the pic that didn’t come thru in yesterday’s News of the two missings… and no, they haven’t returned.
or view link

OK, now let’s go back to yesterday, Sunday. I am sound asleep… the phone starts ringing. I stay in bed. The phone starts ringing again. This time, I roll out and answer. It’s Anna. She is on the way to church and all rattled.. She’s seen a black painter (mountain lion) run across the road near the house. Then she mentioned a neighbor by name. Well, as I am still not awake yet, I misunderstood what she was telling me.

I called her this morning and found out that the crossing was at the infamous lower curve just below the house. (Her cel px wouldn’t transmit in the immediate area… she had finally gotten thru at/near the neighbor’s.) The cat had come up from the creek and was following a pathway used by other critters, maybe? Hmmm… well, a chain link fence won’t keep out a big cat but it will at least keep my critters from wandering off by themselves. Anna suggested and I am inclined to agree that the big kitty got to Ophie last year. However, that does not explain the poisonings and the shootings.

Let’s see here… Oh, I finally got a hold of the fence company… Donny, fence guy, said he should be here this Tuesday or Wednesday to give me an estimate. Chain link, two drive thru gates (I have a walk thru gate already. I sometimes use it to block the back porch steps. It’s not attached to anything.) Still with me? Lolol

Some place during all the mayhem, I managed to write a limerick… lolol Have I mentioned my mind works in strange and mysterious ways? Well, actually, I wrote two and my brain is working on a 3rd. lolol

There once was a feller named Bare
Who wandered around without care.
He gathered some weed
And plucked at the seed
Which he ate with no offer to share.

And then….
or view link

There was a dispatcher from Glancy
Whose first name of course was Nancy
In order to please
She’d quickly strip tease
By dropping her drawers which were fancy.

The ‘Nancy’ in this case was my original training officer at the PD. Lolol and we are still good friends. I have more…

There was a police chief named Gary
Who searched all his life for a cherry
He looked high and looked low
And wouldn’t you know,
He finally tripped over a fairy

I think I’d better quit now. Lolol meems is being bad. How come it is that limericks are most always a little ornery? Anyway, I think we need a group dedicated to limericks… lolol Anybody want to volunteer? Lolol
An aside here… the ‘nancy’ one was created while I was taking a bath up in Ohio many moons ag0… lol I’m nutz! Lol

Take care all of mine…Go in safety always. Remember, a bored mind is a dangerous thing!

Many hugs, much love and lots of laffter everyday… meems

LAST SATURDAY 2011-6-18 AND THEN THIS SATURDAY 2011-6-26

WELCOME HOME, DEAR HEARTS, WELCOME HOME

I’m crackin’ up in my old age…lolol Been outside and I guess I’m not used to the fresh dry air! Or sumfin… I’ve been flashed by my flyguys and gals, whistled at, run over by dogs and abused in general! You should see my bruises! And MORE TICK BITES! Damn!

Magnificent day out there… I guess I shouldn’t complain too much tho about the bugs. They’ve been miserable and wet too! Anyway, before I went out, I sprayed myself all over with Kentucky eau de OFF! Can you say: greasy? Lolol I didn’t spray yesterday when I checked the cherry trees and I found 4 ticks on me this morning.. Sheesh!

Anyhow, I was out playing in the dirt…I found some planter boxes on sale and bot 3 of them… I bought some plastic containers at the dollar store… Containers measured 5 by 7 inches maybe? Well, last nite I burned holes in each container with a wood burning tool… Put the holes about an inch or so above the bottom of each. Today, I put the dirt in each container and planted Nasturtium seed that I got in the mail… Flowers are supposed to be yellow… can’t wait to see how they do. Oh, I forgot to mention that planter boxes are not closed at the bottom… Have slats. That’s why I bot the small storage bins/containers. Will keep the dirt from washing out. Sounds good anyway. Right now, all are sitting in the Tildy’s bed… in case it should rain over nite.

An aside here… lolol I’ve been advised the talking about parties and Tildy’s bed sounds like I’ve been naughty. Another person (read Tim, the maleman here) advised that I really should get my candles lit again… That he, Tim, was gonna get me some light bulbs! I think Tim is looking for a cut in the parking lot meter fees… Gotcha, Brat! Lololol

Let’s see here… what else? Oh, the Boss man is back on line. Seems like he was under the weather for a while. I chewed him out! Yes, I did… Take my eyes off him for two minutes and he gets into all kinds of trouble… Welcome back, dear heart.

Back to the cherry trees for a minute… They have cherries on them… the Bing cherry is loaded but the fruit is very small…not much larger than the normal sized cherry seed. I guess I’ll fertilize them tomorrow if it’s a half way decent day. Not one on the Queen Anne’s. Been a hard year on just about everything up here… Frost and snow while the trees were blooming and then we had way too much rain. Had 9/10” this morning.

Ok, that was last week… Ya best sit down cause you ain’t gonna’ believe this week’s doin’s!

Well, let’s start with Sunday, late… posted by emom101 5 days ago
or view link

Both these dogs have been missing since 2300 hours Sunday, June 19, 2011.. Strange man came to side door late last nite (Sunday) at 2230 hrs... wanted me to help him with his truck which was stuck in the ditch up the road from me... I refused.. and he didn't want to argue with .38 pointed his direction...I haven't seen Rocky or Gremlin since. I did offer to call someone for the guy but I wasn’t about to go out/down the road with someone I don’t know.

Well, both dogs have disappeared and not returned. I did make a police report…and checked with all the neighbors, just in case. That’s 8 dogs now since December.

I’ve decided to put up a chain link fence with drive thru gates around the back part of the property. I wish I could fence in the whole thing but fencing in an acre and a quarter +/- is a little out of my price range. (read “a lot out of”) Anyway, I’m calling different businesses to get estimates and all that neat stuff.

So, now to Tuesday afternoon. Butch, the good neighbor down the road came flying into the drive… He thinks he saw one of my dogs. Well, I go put my teeth in (I woke when the door bell rang)… grab cigs and out the door I go. We end up in the next county over and spot the two dogs he had seen. Nope, not mine… and those two were ‘traveling’…in other words they had someplace in mind and that’s where they were heading. I really appreciate the kindheartedness of my neighbors. Wellllll, I can be nice once in a while. It’s a struggle tho…

Then there’s Wednesday or was it Thursday…? I forget. The 3 homebodies started fussing… Now I find I have 3 strange dogs in my yard. The two I saw yesterday and a third that was the same coloration as the Gremlin… Off I go to the phone again to let people (read Kelly’s office and the neighbors) know about the visitors. Don’t want anybody to think I am stealing dogs. For one thing, I can’t work theft into my schedule for some strange reason plus the fact that I don’t lie well… Another can’t remember anything! Lolol

And can you say thunderstorms and deluges? My rain gauge has imbibed 5 or more inches of rain this past week. The winds have been fierce and the chicky-duck pen has been damaged by a falling black walnut branch. Ya still with me????

Twice this past week I’ve seen two of the most hellaciously huge litning bolts I’ve ever seen in my entire life… Two separate storms, one bolt struck about 6 or less miles from me… I was inside. The second bolt, a ground to cloud jobby, struck within a mile of me… I was outside. Guess who hustled their buns inside for safety sake.

So, anyway, I am now back down to two dogs and one pup (the little girl, Stormy) I still need a bigger dog for safety but I’ll just have to wait until I get the fencing up.

To put it mildly, I’ve had a helluva week… I am broke from stuffing all my money into the complaint box…Sheesh! Maybe I’d better get a back up complaint sign… this one is being overworked!

I’m outa here for a while… take care all of mine…go in safety always. Remember, when all else fails, go take a nap; it’s safer! Lolol

Many hugs and much love… meems

OK, OK! I’m still breathing… Get your buns out here on the porch after you grab some coffee! Or Tea, or or or! Lolol A little humid out here but a lot cooler than last week. Had .9” of rain finally. The tiger lilies are blooming… ditto the agaves. And the Mimosa is sending out its powder puff blooms. (Smells good too) However, I have some downed branches in the chickey-duck pen… and some damage to the pen itself. Can y’all say windy? The Chocolate tree is coming right along… has lil branches all over its lil body.
view link

Having all kinds of problems with Yahoo messenger… How’m I to run a business if my customers can’t get thru? Lolol Now I am getting tickled at myself! Anna says I have to quit this late nite partying… lolol

Now, I must mention the Marv! I get this message to expect a package in the mail box. OK… Now what? As bad as I felt, I struggled out to the box to check for mail or a package. I emailed back and asked what I considered to be pertinent info. Is it bigger than a bread box? Is it another mouth to feed? Will it need to be trained/housebroken…? No response from the Marv… none, zilch, nada! OK then… I wait!

Finally, I get to the mail box…Aha! A package! Oh yeah, from the Marvin! I’m almost afraid to open the package. (I can’t remember if we are still engaged or not.) I struggle with the sticky tape on the box… I finally get box open and innards are exposed to the light of day.

A MATCHED SET OF FLEA/TICK COLLARS FOR HUMANS!!!!! Two family packs… each holding a yellow, an orange, a purple and one ‘glow in the dark’ white insect repellent bands. All because I’ve been complaining about the itchy bumps from the tick and other insect bites? Would I complain? Oh, you betcha! Lolol

Now wait a minute here…Is the Marv trying to send me a message? (At least he didn’t send me bubble bath and shampoo) And what’s with this glow in the dark one? Lolol Or maybe I shouldn’t ask.
Thank you, rotten kid…I think… According to the instructions, I can use these thingys on the critters also. I think I like this idea … a dual purpose flea repellent! Lol Or is that dual critter?

And speaking of critters, yesterday, somebody, who shall remain nameless, stole one of my everyday mocs. Hmm… did you know that having just one shoe is a problem around here? I finally got down and looked under the bed. Well, I found my other moc but I also found a bunch of dust bunnies… Would you believe the db’s were picketing/protesting their living conditions? (Would these green eyes….. ???? lololol ) I just made the part up about the dust bunnies picketing? But they were working with hammers and saws and stuff.

I think I best be getting out of here before I dig myself in any deeper… lolol Take care all of mine… Go in safety always. Remember, it’s always simpler in the long run to tell the truth. Hmm, Paula, good advice!

Many hugs, much love and loads of laffter… the being silly meems

WELCOME HOME, DEAR HEARTS, WELCOME HOME!

Sheesh! Grab your face masks at the door… I am nothing but an oversized germ on two feet! Have splinters in my afterburner because it’s been dragging on the floor! Please deposit your donations in the beggars box (as rental for mask usage) because my funds are depleted.

I’ve whined, grumped, grumbled, complained, coughed, sneezed, thrown fits, gotten dizzy, shivered and sweated! This is just the minor list! Don’t have enuf room here to talk about my real complaints!

I have been cussed at, fussed at, chewed out, you name it! Apparently, I am not allowed to get sick. Sheesh! Like I caught the flu deliberately, just to get some sympathy… lolol Between the flu and the itchy tick bites, I’m almost ready to give up! My enemies would be dancing in the streets if they knew.

Let’s see here… I told you that I picked up the new pup. He’s a gem but, OMG, he is full of energy. He already loves the meems… and at the moment, he’s curled up on the bed! Uh oh, he WAS on the bed… need to go check.

Anyway, he’s about half the size of Newbie (I still miss him)… all white with a few hound dog brown spots… one spot in the middle of his back…the others on his head and ears. He made right up with me and already knows the meaning of the word ‘goodie’. He ain’t slow nor is he stupid. Lolol He’s also learned the meaning of the words ‘no’ and ‘bad’… we are still working on ‘off’. Lolol
or
view link

Then, we need to talk about the Stormy girl… Good grief! She has taken over as top B-----! As young as she is, she already puts the boys in place… Trust me, they don’t argue with her. She climbs in the bed with me… flops on her back and takes over the empty/unused pillow and goes sound to sleep. She snores tho… Well, so do I, so I guess we are even.

Back to the trip for a minute… lolol Gcutter did the driving… We got caught in the most God awful downpours on the way home. Visibility was absolute zero at times. Unloading wet groceries is not all it’s cracked up to be. I’m still finding rain collections in some of the bags. The diet Pepsi was on sale so I loaded up. However, beings the cartons were wet when stacked in the kitchen, they are now glued together in a solid mass. Bring on the pry bar!

With all the rain, it’s been a good growing year so far. The agaves have blossomed up and the stems are at least 10’ high. The Chocolate tree is sprouting nicely. The Draco looked up some info on the net… He tells me that maybe I should hire a guard to keep it safe. (That bugger cost me almost $50 but I just couldn’t resist) Then, after I had pondered for a while, I figured I need to hire another guard to watch guard number 1. lolol Not sure what the fruit of a Choc tree looks/tastes like… hope it’s choc covered raspberry creams… yummy yummy!

I think that’s it for the moment… spent most of this past week in bed. (Marv, bite your tongue!) lolol Anna accused me of being a party animal what with my candle lit dinners and such. Does this sound like a sympathy message to y’all? I don’t think so! Lolol

Anyhow, take care all of mine and go in safety always. Remember, even if you have to look under the bed or in the closet, you will find some good in each day.

Many hugs, much love and lots of laffter to all…. meems

WEDNESDAY

WELCOME HOME, DEAR HEARTS, WELCOME HOME!

Well, get in here and park your buns… load up on the coffee or whatever cause you ain’t gonna believe this one!

OK, so I was supposed to go over to the far side of Beattyville to pick up the new pup, right? Right! Gcutter said he would be out to get me and the cage a/a 1630 hours…Didn’t happen.

Gcutter called me and said he’d had a problem pop up and that he wouldn’t be able to come out today… OK… I was feeling purty good so I told him I would drive over myself… no problem. I hang up, grab my purse and out the door I go. Drag the big cage out and wrangle it into Tildy’s bed. Jump in Tildy and take off down the road. I couldn’t believe the size of the potholes and ridges in the gravel road… I drove down the mountain side in second gear… Took my time.

I get to the end of the road,,, hang a left and up 1503 I go… Get to 846… no problem. Then I get to the spot where 846 dead ends into Rt. 30 at the new bridge. DETOUR signs all over the place… The State has finally decided to put in a new bridge at Traveler’s Rest. (the one I reported as being damaged 5 years ago) This years floods finally did a number on the bridge and put it totally out of commission.

Ok, so I make a ewe turn across Rt. 30… Back the way I came… Ratz! Still with me? Lolol Well, I decide to stop at Anna’s to see if anybody might want to go with me over the 1350/11 route.

Now, this is where it gets VERY interesting. I drive past my road and here this strange sound. The closer I get to Anna’s, the louder it get… Sounded like an air blast or an open line reducing pressure. Now what??? I pull in, park up by the house so I am out of the way. Turn off Tildy… look up and here comes Anna. Just a flying… “Don’t turn the key on… get out of the truck!!!”… There’s a gas leak within a hundred feet of where I was sitting. That was the sound I was hearing…

OK, so now I am in emergency mode! I’ve worked explosions… Trust me they ain’t fun! But I finally convinced Anna to move to the other side of a small rise on past the barn… the only protection of any sort… just in case.

The repair guy was coming all the way from Irvine and had another emergency to take care of before he got to Anna’s. I finally got home after 1830 hours… Nobody was hurt…nothing damaged except the valve which the repair guy replaced. Everything working ok when I left.

Now tell me sumfin. Was I not being nice… taking in another unwanted pet? Driving 50 or so miles one way to Joey’s? Going the extra mile so to speak? Lololol Well, that and $0.50 wouldn’t buy me a cuppa! I had a hard time myself believing what I had gotten into… There went the trip to Joey’s for the day!

Oh, this reminds me… a heads up… Please, please, should there be any emergency… tornadoes… Quakes, etc., Please do NOT call into the disaster area for at least a day… preferably longer. I know how it is to wait and worry to hear from loved ones but again, please, do not make the calls immediately. Wait for a day or two.

Speaking from experience, so many calls going into the disaster area ties up the phone lines which need to be kept clear for emergency personnel to be able to contact other EPs locally. I know it’s hard not to know… I DO know but one incoming call may cause someone to lose their life. Please. Thanx for letting me vent a little… And the Marv thinks I don’t get enuf exercise… Sheesh! Lololol

OK… so Gcutter calls me this evening… says he’ll be out tomorrow… We’ll try again. I called Joey to let him know what I had been up to… He just shakes his head… lololol

I think I quit for now… lolol Take care all of mine and go in safety always. Remember to remember to practice what you preach. Well, sometimes anyway!

WELCOME HOME, DEAR HEARTS, WELCOME HOME!

Git your buns in here and sit a spell. Good grief! What a couple of days again!

I got more funny remarks about my matching underwear showing. Was that too much info at one time?lolol
Sorry about that, if it was… sorta’. Lol Trust me, I have threatened to commit mayhem on Tim, the maleman! Lolol Gotcha Tim!

I got to thinking about some of my spectacular falls in the past… Lolol One time I knew my foot was going to slip on the rainy Post Office steps … To late to stop the forward motion, my right foot landed on the wet step and slid off… lolol My right shoe flew off and into the flooded gutter. I bounced down two or three steps before I came to a complete stop… A very kind lady rescued my shoe and handed it back to me!

I think this was back in the 50’s. I wasn’t hurt, but I sure was embarrassed! Lolol Post Office is still located just off the main drag in the city of Hamilton! The event occurred at/about 1300 hours…week day… lots of observers… Sheesh!

Then there’s the time I slipped on an icy curb…gutter was full of very cold water…I ended up shaped like a bridge over troubled waters… lolol Feet were in the street parking spot and hands were up on the sidewalk. Now picture this… There wasn’t a soul around at that moment to help me up… And, if I moved anything, I was gonna have a VERY cold assembly packet!

As clutzy as I am, I did take ballet classes when I was around thirty… and yes, I was graceful…yes, at the end of two years, I was teaching others. My outside the studio activities (falling down, falling into ponds) did not improve! Lolol

Now let me tell you about yesterday. My packet of trees came in from Nat’l Arbor Day Foundation last week…I order these every year. It rained and rained and rained! I began to worry about my lil saplings so I decided to go out yesterday to pot my trees… Rain be damned! Out I went! I gathered up all kinds of potting containers for them… And while I was out there, I found my chocolate tree (boxed) inside Tildy.

Wowser… Let me tell you about the choc. Tree first… It appears to be a graft of some sort with a mimosa.
I took it to the west side of the drive way and added it to a newly started bed…By the time the roots develop totally, I will be off on a new adventure. I mention this because mimosas are notorious for invading septic and water systems. Ya gots ta watch where you plant these babies. Oh yeah…

The ten lil babies each went into its own pot. Pots are all sitting in Tildy’s bed right now. Let’s see here… I planted one of each… A white pine.. Northern red oak..Blue spruce.. silver maple.. white dogwood… river Birch.. Pin oak.. a redbud.. a sugar maple and finally a red maple. Got them into their pots and today I went out and sprinkled some flower seeds around. Some went on the tree pots and some went on the ground.

I sprinkled poppy seeds, Johnny jump-ups, daisies and some blue… sheesh, I forget what the blue one’s are.

OH, I have to tell you that I have 4 poppy buds out front… FOUR! Finally! After a gazillion attempts at getting poppies started, I’ve finally made it! YES!

And while I was outside today, I walked the edges of the yard and the big pond. Got run over by rowdy pups while I checked to see what was growing… Woohoo! The wild roses are blooming all over the place. The honeysuckle vines are full of buds. I love the aroma of honeysuckle… The forsythia cuttings I stuck in a big pot several weeks ago are looking good… lots of new leaves. The old fashioned purple iris out by the back pond are blooming like crazy… and the butterfly bush is starting to come out.

What else? Oh… Judy, from Joey’s office called. How bout a 5 month old Great Pyrenees male pup? I had Judy cracking up… but anyhow, the present owner will bring the pup to Joey… Joey will neuter when pup arrives… Judy will call me and let me know when the pup is ready to pick up. I know better but I am gonna do it again anyway!

And guess what?!? I am being a guinea pig. I changed/added to one of my meds about a week ago. I am starting to feel great! Or maybe, it’s just the weather but I don’t think so. Another thing… I think my sleep patterns are starting to stabilize… I go to bed a/a 0200… Stormy wakes me about 0700 … I roll out, throw the critters out and then I go back to bed. More sleep… Have you any idea how great it is to drift awake and be at peace… there is a quiet for me that is so relaxing. It doesn’t sound like much, but it is a great improvement over what I had been feeling.

Guess that’s it for a while… Take care all of mine. Go in safety always. Remember, even if it rains, some good will come from it.

Many hugs, much love and lots of lafter… meems of the green thumb lololol

Welcome home, dear hearts, welcome home!

Would you believe I just discovered today is primary day…? I think I am a day late now to go vote… Sheesh! I really need a keeper or sumfin.

Bein’s that I was on the inside once upon a time ago, and I know some of what goes on behind the scenes, I don’t think anybody missed me today.

Well, get in here and get yourselves warm… It is absolutely, positively, without a doubt, a miserable day out there…All of 47 deg with a constant drizzling. No wonder I slept late again. However, the day wasn’t a total loss… I did a gotcha on several people today… Sure did lift my spirits! I even got to flirt a little! Well, more than a little! (Would these lovely greens lie? Flutter, flutter, wink, blink)

On a slightly serious note, I’ve received an upgrade notification (make that several) from Yahoo… About how they are changing/upgrading their emails… and at the end of the month, I will no longer be able to receive my regular emails addressed to emom10101@yahoo.com. Hmmmm!! Ok… so I go to the download page. I know I am a little outdated myself when it comes to puters and stuff… but I don’t understand a bit of it. I can’t do instant messaging either at this time… Hmmmm…. Where’s the vanilla? I’ll take it straight please? Is this a DUII, the vanilla? Driving under the influence on the internet? Pondering is no help here!

Well, today, I received the funniest email from a good friend (who shall remain nameless at this time)… Email tells of friend being caught by flyguy in a most embarrassing situation. Friend said I could tell, but I won’t. Not right now anyway… lolol can you say: Blackmail???? Lolol Situation is even steven right now as I told the friend about my being ‘caught’… lolol

Then I remember a day when I went to work all dressed up… Kids, meems really looked good! Brand new outfit… stem to stern! Oh yeah… Hair all done up… nice subdued make-up. Can’t remember what top I was wearing but I had on my beautiful new burgundy, ankle length, suede skirt which had a slit in the back. Had on my high heeled, color matching leather boots. Gold jewelry. (had matching underwear too) I had to walk past a very busy hotel (the only one in town) a block and a half to get to the back door of the dispatch area.

Relieved the on-duty person and started to sit down… I sit! Sumfin not right! Wrinkles? What? Well kids, I discover to my horror that the hem of my skirt is up around my waist band. I have walked that block and a half, showing a lot of unplanned exposure in the aft section! I wanted to die…! Lololol Thank goodness I had on the matching underwear… maybe some might have considered it an avant garde clothing style! My face eventually matched the color of my outfit! Does this kind of thing happen to anybody else?

And then there was the day I wore mismatched shoes to work… the design was the same, the colors were not… Would you believe I was working early shift when I did this one… I was up, but not awake!

Then there was the time I pulled into the disp parking lot in Fairfield… Was winter.. lot was covered with ice! I get out of the Datsun and the next thing I know, I am on my back under the car… only my head sticking out from under… OMG! Right outside the window of the detectives office… I would never hear the end of this if they had seen me!

Well, I managed to scramble out from under and made my way into HQ… Wonders will never cease, no one saw me… and I never said a word! Didn’t even have a bruise this time! Lolol Am I graceful or what?!?

I think I’d better quit while I am ahead here… I DO have the giggles… Take care all of mine. Go in safety always. Remember to remember your human times… they can be hysterically funny! Lolol

Many hugs, much love and loads of lafter every day… meems
