WEDNESDAY

2011*4*6

Welcome home, dear hearts, welcome home

Good grief!  I really must work on designing some kind of schedule for myself… (Don’t hold your breaths tho while you wait!  Lolol

Help selves to some coffee or lemonade or tea or cider.

Here’s a biggy and goody tip… Make your ice cubes with cranberry juice or apple juice.  Pour in some diet cola.  It’s yummy, sweet and tasty.  I like the cranberry the best.  Gonna try it with ginger ale one of these days.  A thirst quencher when working out in the sun and wind.

I played with the bricks and plastic and mesh around the little pond out front today.  I bot a brand new set of shears for heavy duty work.  Took them out with me to cut the ground cover mesh stuff.  Lolol  How bout the wind took mesh and shears right into the deepest part of the pond.  Well, ratz!  Lolol

I retrieved the mesh… couldn’t find the shears.  Went back inside, got an old pair of scissors, back out.  Well, I reached for the roll of mesh and it had disappeared.  Guess who had stolen it?  The Gremlin!  I walk down the slope, retrieve the mesh and daggone it, the Gremlin steals it again.  Hmmm!  I must ponder on this situation.  Lolol  or not!

or http://www.eons.com/photos/photo/861342-Small-pond

And then there’s the toad who spends a lot of time in the pond… lolol  The Gremlin got ahold of him one time and let him go in a big hurry!  Cracked me up…(Hey Sherri, does a toad count the same as a frog?)  Just thot I’d ask.

Anyhow, Toad gets into pond and can’t seem to climb out.  I go over to pond and scoop his buns up and set him down on dry land.  Lolol  I’ll have to fix him some steps or sumfin.  Where does it say in the fine print that I am a toad rescue person?  I already take care of box turtles when they are in the roadway.  Ditto with snakes.  (Grasscutter thinks I am nutz!)  lolol

Back to the small pond… I am putting the bricks around the bed/pond as an edging.  The wind was blowing like crazy again… (we had a tornado touch down not too far from here the other day)  No storm warnings today but a definite Fire alert warning… I don’t like fires. Anyway, it got into the 70’s and it was a gorgeous day.  I took my time playing with the bricks… dogs were no help at all.

Butch, the neighbor, and his grand-daughter were out on his 4 wheeler… stopped by and chatted for a few.  Then the Electric Co supv. Stopped for a couple.  The Elec Co has tree trimmers running the areas around the high power lines that run the ridges… Those guys stopped and talked for a few… I asked them about deer bones up where they were working.  None on the hill but Mr. A’s burned out location had a bunch.

More happenings… lolol  I was in the dark (shut up, Marv) for one nite… electric out from storms Sunday and Monday.  The phone was doing strange things… No music, no puters, no TV… no nuffin!  Well, I got my wind-up emergency radio out.  Wound up the generator in my emergency flashlite, then lit a candle.  Did you know that it gets really, really dark here on the mountain when the electric is off?  Oh yeah!  Heavy thick clouds, no moonlight… Yup!  It gets dark!  Lolol  Had 1.8” of rain in less than 24 hrs.

And you’ll never guess what catalog I have open… How bout water garden flowers… meems is gonna order some lilies and one lotus.  I’m just pondering what colors to order… and then this cat. has bog plants too.  All kinds of goodies… I’ll get them started out front then transplant to the big pond out back.

Anna stopped by to pick up her Christmas present… some cleaned candle jars and lids and a small start of the white hosta.  These white hostas are so strange looking when they first come thru the ground… Supposed to turn lit green later in the season… we’ll see.  Oh, and the 10’ tall lilies are coming up!  Yes!  I wasn’t too sure they were going to make it over winter.

I forget, did I tell y’all that the Arkansas Black Apple painting is done?  Finally!  I made a glaze of oil based gel, Ivory Black, Alizarin Crimson and slapped it on.  That’s all it took!  Lolol  And I’ve been fussing with that painting for how long now?  Lololol

I’m outa here.  Take care all of mine.  Go in safety always.  Remember to smile at the sun and wave at them BBSBs when they go over… There were bunches of them up there today.

Many hugs, much love and lots of lafter… Where did the time go meems!  lolol

IT’S PAPER WORK DAY AGAIN!
I HATE PAPER WORK!
HAVE I MENTIONED THAT BEFORE?
2011*3*28

Get your buns in here and make selves ta home! Sheesh! I think I am a grump today! Lolol I also think I just said an understatement! Lolol

Had snow this am early but it didn’t stick…The sun came out finally and it has warmed up to a comfy 51 degs. I went out to check on the cherry trees. The pears and quince are in full bloom and are quite beautiful. The red buds are just barely showing a little pink but I haven’t seen anything from the cherry trees… Black cherries and Queen Anne’s. Can’t wait for these to fruit… I love to pick cherries and munch them right off the trees. Anyway, I could see the tiny little buds starting to develop. So far so good! Then, there are the Arkansas Black seeds I planted and have sitting on the kitchen window sill. Not doing a thing yet… I should work on developing more patience, ya think? Lolol

BTW, I got flashed by mine while I was out there… lolol I really must move Tildy back to the driveway. Lolol Sumfin to lean on while I flirt and show a little ankle when I curtsy. Yes, I was flashed. Woohoo! Back atcha, mine…

Paper work aside, last week was a good week. Oh yeah! I received a CD from and made by Smokeyspop. His voice, his guitar playing and every one of the songs are among my fave’s. I started playing it on my boombox. (Is a 70+ year old lady allowed to have a boom box?) Well, kids, I started to cry. I was so touched by such thoughtfulness and kindness by the Smokey and his lady. Then I got tickled at the one piece… A guy waking up with a hangover. Had a beer for breakfast and another for dessert! What can I say? Love you two… hugs.

Then, there is the other side of the nice coin, sort of. Lolol The Secret Admirer sent me a gift (?). Oh dear!
I found this box thingy on the front porch when I woke up... Big box... yards and yards of brown stuffing/wrapping paper... inside the box thingy was another box thingy only smaller.

Woohoo, I found a large spray container thingy inside the smaller box thingy. Not having seen one of these newer model perfume spray bottles before, I decided to spritz some behind me ear to get an idea of what scent might be in the container.

I removed the red loop thingy, figured out how the spritzer worked...aimed behind my ear and pulled the trigger!

Wow! Next thing I knew I was covered with all this stuff and icicles! Maybe next time I should read the directions first? I didn't know they put shower foam/spray in big bottles...

However, after all is said and done, I do feel clean and I do smell better. Just in time for Easter. I'll consider thanking my secret admirer after I thaw out.

Ya know, I have looked all over for a brand name or the name of the bath smell good and can’t find it. Anybody have any ideas?????? Lololol

There’ll be more to come later… take care all of mine. Go in safety always. Remember it never hurts to try sumfin new… lololol

Many hugs, much love and lafter. meems

What is today? Oh, OK, it’s Monday? Maybe?
How bout the 1st day of Spring, the vernal equinox?

Hmmm… Wonder if ‘they’ve changed that too?

Welcome home, dear hearts, welcome home!

Get your buns in here and set for a spell. I’m writing this letter because of naggers out there in cyber-space.! Lololol There’s this guy who nags when I don’t post the News often enuf to suit him… and NO, this time it’s not the Marv!

Marv and I are still arguing about volcanoes and mud pots and hot springs! (Don’t ask!) We also have this thing going about some ancient texts and then there is always the one about the Ainu and the tsunami. Can you say esoteric? Lolol

Back to guy number one…Better known as Tootall sumfing or other… I call him Toot! Whether he likes it or not! Lolol Well anyway, he’s one of mine and sometimes has days that are kinda gray. Well, you know me. I have no compassion in my soul, appearances aside. Lolol I just had to pick on him for nagging! And I think I got him… However, as you all know, the fall out shelter is always primed and ready for occupation. I may be a little slow now but I ain’t totally stupid… lolol Hugs Brat! I just couldn’t resist!

Now, to yesterday. I am still dozing… I don’t have to get up… don’t have to go anywhere… all the dogs were outside… ditto mamma kitty. Window at the head of the bed was open. Can smell Spring in the air… all kinds of buds and blossoms opening up. I’m in heaven!

Well, I was until the Rag Taggers started carrying on. Then the door bell rings… Well, ratz! OK, I roll out… go out the side door and there sits the Grasscutters truck! Sheesh! It’s only 1100 and I don’t even have my teeth in! GC cracks up! I just frowned at him… I hadn’t even had a sniff of coffee yet! And he keeps laffing!

OK.. so eventually he goes to Tildy and her battery is dead again. Well, he does the cables thing… gets her started and states she needs a new battery. Moan, groan, shucky darns! OK so I get about a half a mug in me… go inside to get dressed… forgot my list naturally… out I come… get in Tildy and off we go.

We travel to the next county north (Lee) to a parts store that is open on Sundays. I tell the guy I need a new battery… OMG! Over $100? Well, I almost fainted (NOT) but the last new battery I bot only cost around $35. Now, Powers That Be, tell me that prices haven’t increased) I also needed a new set of connectors. It ran about $7 for the two of them. And the sales man fixed all of it for me.

I told salesman I was gonna rat him out on the net. After new battery was installed, he tells me he could have sold me a used battery for $35. That was all I needed to get me started! Lolol GC just sat back and grinned. I asked salesman if he was going to sell me my original battery? Well, he took me serious! Oh dear! Lolol

A couple of customers got in on the convo too… This one good lookin’ feller seemed to enjoy the interchanges and stopped for a few minutes to join in.

Good lookin’ feller had amvet logo on his t-shirt. You know what’s comin’ now, don’t cha? Oh yeah. Yes! He is one of mine! I asked what war… Nam! Yes, I gave him a big hug…(Ladies, I got a nice long warm hug back) Gave him Eons name and my email addy. Invited him to join us… Don’t know if he will or not but at least he knows somebody cares. (pardon me while I polish my halo) His name is JackR… I do hope he joins us.

Well, after we left the parts store, we drove thru the area looking for yard sales… Sunday and 80 deg? Oh yeah, but we didn’t see a one. My fave junk store was closed…Ratz! So I went to the Dollar store and got into all kinds of trouble… but I wasn’t arrested.. Those gals know me too well! Lololol I got a whole baskart full of stuff on sale… A couple of pair of polyester britches for $3 apiece…an apple clock…Hmmmm. I can’t remember what else I bot… Oh, a couple of mini smell good candles…

Remember my forgotten list? I needed vinegar for my salads… and a rain gauge (my old one froze and broke this winter) Nothing earth shaking but daggon it, I hate it when I forget my list!

Still on Sunday… lolol Got home from shopping… more work to be done! GC put my hammock thingy together for me before he left. I don’t know if y’all remember that I bot it at my fave junk/used stuff store last year or not. But it’s been waiting in the basement all this time… Well, it’s together…It takes up a lot of space on the back porch but I think it’s gonna be nice! Lolol I tried to get GC to try it out since he put it together… He decided to wait and let me try it first! Do I smell a rat here somewhere? I just Betcha! Lolol

Let’s see here, what else.. Oh, I took some forsythia cuttings and stuck them in a huge pot…am trying to get them started and next will be the Flowering Quince. Oh dear, I only have an acre plus to go… lolol

Think that’s it for the time being… Take care all of mine. Go in safety always. Remember to keep an eye out for mine/ours. If you’re lucky, you’ll find one everytime you go out the door.

Many hugs, much love and loads of lafter. The outrageous flirt meems

I DONE BEEN FLASHED! LOLOL

THURSDAY
2011*03*17

Welcome home, dear hearts, welcome home

I don’t know why it is that I want the 15th to be St. Patrick’s Day but I do. LOLOL So, happy to everybody again. I wonder if this has anything to do with age? (Shut up, Marvin!) Well, I was close enuf as to make no to little difference!

Sheesh, this sleep pattern I have is definitely not for the birds. They wouldn’t survive.

OK, so it is a beautiful day today. I went outside for a while…to the mail box and then to the tail gate. I saw some of my BBSBs up there. I waved, and threw kisses, and sent hugs… I got flashed…did my curtsy thing… came within an ace of losing my balance and finally staggered to the tail gate. Lolol Much safer for me if I sit while doing this performance… Getting tickled doesn’t help me keep my balance either. Hugs and much love to all my flyguys and gals. Y’all make my day go better.

or view link

Well, I finished coloring the west window late yesterday… Well mostly finished. I might give a second coat to parts of the greens. I am, however, not finished with peeling the stuff off my hands. When I get into sumfin, I REALLY get into it! I have various colors on my arms, my T shirt, my sweats, shoes and feet! Oh! And heaven forfende, I have dark green on my red robe! Does this mean I am ready for this coming Christmas? I have some sky blue on me too… what does that say? Wonder of wonders, I didn’t get any in my hair. Now, that’s a change!

Oh, a helpful hint here… re: the stained glass look. If you should try this, just remember to ALWAYS start at the top when working on a vertical surface. The stuff will run and you sure don’t want it running over a completed section.

What else? Dogs! Oh dear… Picture this. I’m cover diving. Pyggy is up by my pillow (just in case I move). The Lilyputz is down by my feet (sprawled along the back board) I am minding my own business (this is a change from the norm?) Next thing I know, my head is crammed into the southeast corner of the bed… right against the corner post. My knees are wrapped around the far end of my pillow and hanging on for dear life. My feet are drooping off the north side of the bed. Now what?!?

Ok, I keep struggling with the comforters cause I am getting cold. Well, ratz! I finally come wide awake! What IS going on here? My sleeping brane has decided sumfin is definitely wrong.

It’s the Gremlin! He curls up behind my knees or between my legs or on my legs and/or feet. (was that just a run-on sentence? Lolol) Anyway, depending on where he is sleeping, I get too hot, or my legs/feet start hurting and I move. I move, so does he… Oh dear! Well, at least I don’t have to worry about getting stuck between the bed and the wall… Tain’t enuf room there for me.

or view link

And there he is, the Gremlin, on full alert and looking innocent! Lolol (the Gremlin takes after me… I always look innocent—or not! Would these lovely green eyes…..?)

Need to get busy here… Take care all of mine. Go in safety always. Remember to hang in there and keep trying…Things will get better.

Many hugs, much love and lots of lafter… the ever in a muddle meems

I knew something wasn't quite right about the first one... lolol 2011*02*03...

HAPPY ST. PATRICK’S DAY!
2011*03*15

AND
WELCOME HOME DEAR HEARTS, WELCOME HOME!

I think I am having an identity crisis here! Thot I was totally of Germanic descent… then I find out part of me came from the mountain area of Northern Italy. Today, I am totally Irish… I even drink my vanilla out of a shamrock green painted bottle. I also have some green fuzzy things growing in the fridge (they’ve been there for a while) I suggest y’all stay away from them unless you are wearing a mask and rubber gloves. Trust me, sanitizer sprays do NOT take care of everything. However, I do use bleach in the dish water.

Back to the identity crisis… I also grew up believing I was born on the cusp (change-over) of Taurus and Gemini. Well, somebody with a slide rule or sumfin changed that a couple of months ago. ( I think it was a couple of months but I won’t swear to it)

Now… My question is…do I need to change my attitude, altitude, outlook, thot processes to comply with this new information? Am I no longer stereotyped? Typecast? Need I swap my stubborn charm for a more active outlook? I mean, really, when a person has one image of the self ingrained in the psyche for a substantial number of years, does this mean I got started on the wrong foot? Or, does this mean I have unknowingly complied with the stars? The calendar? Indoctrination? Or indiscriminate choices and values? I think I am becoming terribly confused…HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lolol Sheesh! Remind me not to ponder on these things for a while, will y’all?!?

Ok, it’s been a rough few months here… but I think I am recovering… as I’ve said before, if I was as smart as I sometimes think I am, I would stay down after a series of bad things occur. Can I do that? Nope, it’ll never happen. I’ve always picked myself up, checked out the situation and then carried on.

The Marv has been squalling at me for my absences. Well, daggone it… I have been doing things altho I’m not quite sure just what those things are.

A very sad note… the earthquake, tsunami and the melt downs in Japan are more than enuf to get my attention. I was glued to the puter screen watching all the incoming reports. OMG! I watched the cars, trucks, buildings, homes, boats, ships all loaded with humans being swept over the land. Where do you begin? Where do you start? With all the best of intentions, Where? God love the rescuers, I am with them every step of the way.

Another thing I’ve been working on mentally and finally, in the physical sense, is the west window in the living room. I drew the basic design with liquid lead last week… touched it up yesterday and trimmed some spots where the lead got lumpy (read my hand screwed up)…Then today, I started playing with the colors and applying them. The colors look cloudy when first applied and then clear as they dry… So, you end up with app texture and translucent color.

The colors are richer if the glass is on a horizontal surface… but the window is vertical and a whole other ball game for application. Might have to apply two coats. Anyway, should you not like what you’ve already done, the stuff can be pealed off.

view link view link

Another thing… the ragtag bunch love it when I go into the living room. They climb on the love seat or the chair or my lap should I decide to sit for a few. Lolol I am having a small problem with the Gremlin tho. I move… so does he, right to the warm spot I just left. When I come back to ‘my’ spot, he refuses to move! Lolol I then get physical! Lolol I have the same problem with the Pyggy… Only in Pyggy’s case, we fight over ‘my’ pillow on the bed. Sheesh! The way I am treated is awful… I really am a nice person…gentle, kind, loving… (I think I am gonna be sick here)… Maybe I’d better write up a reciprocal trade agreement of some sort… Do you suppose this would help me? Lololol Probably not!

I’m outa here for now… It’s 2300 hours already. Bed time soon. Take care all of mine… go in safety always. Remember to keep trying no matter how bad things get… Most time, they work out.

Many hugs and much love… the peeling colors off her fingers and hands… meems

SATURDAY
2011*3*12

Welcome home, dear hearts, welcome home!

I’m back. At least, I think I am back. Been one rotten week again. Come on out here on the back porch and have some coffee… Or you can grab a chair and sit in the sun. Gorgeous day! High 60’s, light breeze and a sprinkling of dust bunny clouds up there romping around in the blue.

The Gremlin is out back throwing a fit because the winds carried a piece of paper into the yard… He’s trying to sneak up on it…the breeze will capture it and move it down hill a bit. I’m going to enter him in the up-coming doggy Olympics. I’m sure he will break all the past records for the ‘Standing High Jump’ category! I fell out of the chair at his reactions to this major unknown threat! Lololol He don’t do half bad on the ‘sideways leap’ category either… He’s already a pro in the cover-diving department! Oh yeah!

or view link

Now, here comes some bad news… The new lab mix is dead. I found the Doggerby out on the back porch. He had been poisoned. This time, it looks like rat poison. I finally managed to contact Grasscutter. He came right out and buried Doggerby for me. I don’t know what I would do without his help. He’s a good man.

Well, I called everybody…including the Game Warden. Remember? I have a yard full of deer skulls and various other body parts. My thoughts on the matter include the poacher who might be setting out poison to reduce the number of coyotes in the surrounds.

I talked to Joey, my vet. No other reports of poisonings in the area. I talked to Kelly, the High Sheriff. Not much can be done unless the perp is caught in the act. Kelly and the Game Warden were out here nite before last. I gave them the facts and all the hearsay (I specified which was which)…They both checked the bones and yes, the skulls showed trophy removal.

Last words out of Kelly’s mouth as they were leaving? “Now, you (me) behave yourself!” lolol I had to laff. Does seem I have an established a self propagating reputation. Lololol

What else?… We’ve had lots of rain… the other nite, while those two were out looking at the bones, the rain changed over to snow… guess we finally had about a two inch cover. I forgot to mention that I was wearing my red robe during this visitation. And yes, I got snowed upon… and my hair had sleet on it and ….lolol and no, I didn’t come down with a cold. Stranger things have not happened if you follow my drift here! Lolol

Now, fella’s the following info is for the ladies… so go look in the mirror or sumfin. Lolol Shoo… scoot!

Ladies. It so happened a while back I tripped over some caftans, reduced in price, on the net. Are you guys peeking? Sheesh! Anyway, I ordered 3 or 4 and I think I paid less than $30 for all including shipping and handling. (Will you guys go sit in the corner or sumfin?) So, the caftans came in…One was made of cotton and had African native designs on it…done in natural earth colors. Well, I decided to wear it today. (are all those boy brats gone?) And I discovered, are you ready for this?… that cotton underwear and cotton caftans are incompatible? The fabrics do NOT slide past one another… at all! So, just be forewarned! If you sit down wearing the above combo, when you stand you just might find your caftan is hiked up around your waist in the back. The worst case scenario? Your underwear hikes up when yanked by the non-sliding caftan!

Oh dear… I think I’d better quit now.. and you male brats can start reading again! lolol Take care all of mine. Go in safety always. Remember that comfort does not lie in appearance…it lies in the slidability! Lolol

Many hugs, lots of love and bunches of laffter… the ever learning meems

SATURDAY – 2011*3*5

Welcome home, dear hearts, welcome home

I’m gonna tell you right now, when you get into your 70’s, late nite parties are NOT the way to go!  Lolol Night before last, I didn’t cover dive until 0600.  Well, I went to bed early enuf… I just couldn’t get to sleep.  I finally said the heck with it and rolled out… made a fresh pot of coffee and started to catch up on my diary.  Like the News isn’t enuf info.  Lolol  Trust me, I got some dirty looks from the Rag Taggers… They do NOT like to have their sleep interrupted… I’ve noticed they are whispering to each other.  Do you suppose they are thinking about evicting me?  Would I be that lucky?  Lolol

Well, I finally crawled back in the bed… and drifted off to sleep… I missed all the sunshine, daggone it!  Later in the day, I was up (?) Went to the side door and looked up… Dark clouds rolling in but right above me I had clear blue.  Lolol I also had a three dimensional tic tac toe grid up there.  Well, ratz!  I missed it!

I did get some work done on the Arkansas Black apple done while I was awake.  It must be the change of seasons or sumfin but the painting is not going well.  Need to change the background color and lighten it a lot.

(An aside here… A sure sign of my growing maturity is that I no longer throw a difficult painting across the room when I lose my patience!  Nor do I shred the canvas with the painting end of a brush.  Would I do that?  Oh yeah!  One time, I threw a red lantern and smashed it against a brick wall.  The smashed lantern stayed on the floor in the studio until I moved.  I’ve heard that this activity is called “artistic temperament” ..  I refer to it as a fiery hissy fit.  [I didn’t dye my hair red for nuffin back then] lolol  I did learn rather quickly that hissy fits can be rather expensive over the long haul.  I quit doing that years ago but the temptation is still there.)

or

http://www.eons.com/photos/photo/798897-Meems-on-Halloween

I’ve always believed, in order to create, I must maintain a childlike attitude when I am in the mood to paint… not childish.. childlike!  Childlike maintains an attitude of wonder, awe and innocence at what we see around us.   Childish is self destructive… Oh dear… I’m sort of preaching here.  Sorry bout that.  I guess I am still more than upset about the funeral ‘demonstrations’.

By the way, I did some checking on that group… The name ‘Baptist’ is not copy-writed and can be used at will.  Also found that the ‘group in question’ is an extended family.  Oh dear, I could be sooooo sarcastic here but I am trying to behave.   Genetics, anyone?  Bad, bad Meems

I quit while I am still slightly ahead… lolol  Take care all of mine.  Go in safety always… Remember… real humans try to learn and improve their outlooks daily… then there are always the others…

Many hugs, much love and lots of laffter … the gonna get into trouble yet meems

Welcome home, dear hearts, welcome home!

WooHoo! I done been flashed…lololol

Gorgeous day! Oh yeah! Meems has been sitting in the front yard…clear blue except for my BBSBs up there playing tic tac toe! Gentle breezes…brilliant sun (I think that’s what it was… It’s been a while since I’ve been out there to stay for a bit!) Lolol Another good thing, the breezes were gentle enuf that I didn’t need any extra weight in my tail assembly. Lolol

Now everybody duck! I want you to read this! It’s in the NYTimes…an alert. “ “ “ Supreme Court rules that protests and picketing at military funerals are protected by the First Amendment free speech guarantee, taking precedence over the mourners’ right to privacy…………SC upheld a lower court in favor of..Westboro Baptist Church of Topeka, Kan….. Ruling was a defeat for Albert Snyder, the father of a Marine killed in Iraq in 2006, whose funeral was picketed by the “ “ “ “ group.

Read full article at view link

Please God, don’t let this group show up in my area… I am seriously in trouble if they do and so are they. Freedom of speech is one thing… A cult going under the disguise of a decent religion is quite another. I am thoroughly p***ed!

Now, you all know that I seldom if ever discuss religion in the news, but enuf is enuf. In my opinion, this group, who do not pay taxes and reap all the benefits of a religious group, is giving all faiths a black eye. My questions? If an interment is a private matter, where does the government get off intruding in the mourners’ privacy… Magic words being “intrude” and “privacy”! Only solution is for the city fathers, with careful wording, to outlaw any and all demonstrations on days of funerals. What happened to respect for the deceased? For all the years the human creature has been running around on this planet, there are very few examples of disrespect for the dead. What happened to the consideration for the surviving family member and friends? Even the Neanderthals buried their dead with flowers and items to use in the afterlife…to show respect for all involved.

NOW, For anyone who doesn’t like what I have written, DON’T read my words… The above is my opinion about the situation and I am entitled to my opinion.

My brain is still swamped with terrible thoughts about the above group. Altho to be fair to this bunch, I think their anger and rightousness (SP) is more than slightly misdirected.

OK, that’s enuf for the moment… Sorry, I just had to vent…

Back to the peace and almost quiet of the mountains. The rag tag packlet were out there with me. Lolol Thank goodness I wasn’t IT today..Being IT can cause serious damage to this old body… I certainly don’t look good in black, blue and yellow green! Lololol The packlet is still dragging bones and stuff down from the hill across the road. Sheesh, even a mummified possum? No, I am not kidding! All I can say is that I am very thankful that I don’t have a weak stomach…

Now, let’s see here… last evening, I grabbed the mostly shrunken apple to save the seeds. Lolol Lordy I was a sticky mess by the time I salvaged 7 seeds. However, the Arkansas Black apple seeds were in good shape. I wrapped up 3 of them to send out to a friend in Iowa. The Brat has orchards. I hope they grow for him. I needed to get mine planted so I can set them out after the last frosts hit. I went down in the basement and found four minipots… went back out front, filled the pots with potting soil and planted the seeds. Lolol pots and seeds are now residing on the window sill over the sink.. good light and access to water… lolol

Oh, I finally came up with a simple design for the west window in the living room… will take in the whole window when I get finished… I was thinking about doing fall leaves but maybe an abstract of red flowers on a frosted background. Who knows tho… I still might change my mind…lolol

With all the above being said, I think I am outa here for the time being. Take care all of mine…go in safety always. Remember sometimes even a sense of humor can be overwhelmed…oh yeah!

A short ps here… Ri, aka Suzy Blue Wire…. Put the $5 in my purse which is parked on the kitchen counter alongside the stove. Lolol Well, you asked! Gotcha! Lololol

Many hugs, much love and lots of lafter to all… the cooling down meems

2011*2*28

Welcome home, dear hearts, welcome home….

I’m up! Semi-awake! Meaner than a snake! Twice as charming! Or not! Lolol I’m back on puterwon for the moment. Lolol

Now, I have a bone to pick with the Boss Man! Apparently he read my last blog and decided he was confused … and, he wants Me to translate! Lololol Don’t hold your breath Boss…You, Sir, are on your own. Lolol I’m barely hanging on to the ins and outs of the last several months myself. Lolol When a person is in-country and down range, it’s kind of hard to hang on to logic or linear thought processes.

While I’m picking on bones, Marv, you’d better duck! Y’all know what the Marv did? Well, he read the same blog and immediately went in to his “Huh?” mode! The bone I am picking? The Marv knows I have no logic! His “Huh?” mode equals---I am thoroughly confused by what I am reading. Gotcha, guys…

Oh, then there’s Little Jake, another one of my close Brats. Oh Dear, I even hollered for the Red Head to do sumfin wiff him… I was advised that it was ‘too late’. … that LJ was spoiled rotten… and THAT I believe…I live downwind! Lolol and woohoo… another gotcha!

And SherriAnne almost stayed with the ins and outs, but eventually she lost the thread and gave up too… WTG, Sherri!

And you kids wonder why I stress documenting stuff! And keeping copies of everything. (Helpful household hint here… Dem boxes of paperwork can double as barricades, dams, and if you stack them just right, an emergency fall out shelter! ) Just sayin’… I’m starting to giggle…

I have to tell you about my puter-tech… He is a gem and really knowledgeable. It turned out he couldn’t help me with my picture situation but he tried. Now, this young man can multi-task like crazy. Anyway, while we were working on puterwon, he was doing physical repairs to some towers. He started crackin’ up. Now what?!?

Well, the tower he had chosen to repair/check had graffiti written all over the outside. In huge letters… I HATE YOU! I HATE YOU! I HATE YOU! He tells me this between outbreaks of laffter and I crack up.. We sat laughing and I giggled till I couldn’t breath… Gee, do I know that feeling or what?!?

Another woohoo! It was 70 deg up here on the mountain and the sun peeked out for a little while. I went out and plopped my buns in the sun. Oh dear, the dogs were having a good time out there. I was sitting in one of my white chairs…watching the low clouds just a flying…Interesting, the higher cirrus clouds almost stationary. I could almost feel as tho I was flying myself.

Did see some of my fly guys/gals while I was enjoying the out of doors weather. I didn’t get flashed tho. (I think I am gonna pout.) Anyway, I am all relaxed just watching the skies and listening to the wind talking to the pines. I can see the flowering Quince budding up…and the new poppies are just barely starting to leaf out. Maybe this year, I will have a few poppies bloom. I hope..

OK, so I’m sitting there enjoying my own little world…the next thing I know, I am under attack! The Rag Taggers have decided that the Mom is IT! Pyggs has climbed into my lap and is busily giving me doggy slurps… The Gremlin is trying to climb up too. The Doggerby is trying to steal my pop, wanting to stick his nose in the glass (sheesh! Is nothing sacred?)…Lily is under my chair, on the defensive. Behind my legs but still defending me… Oh yeah! And the Viva is pawing at me… wanting some attention too. Oh dear… lolol I am screaming, laffing, squalling at the top of my lungs. Making doggie laff sounds, snorting and sneezing. Lordy! It was near thing, but I managed to survive! Poor me, the abuse I must take just to be leader of the packlet! Lololol

So, I need to go batten the hatches again… Have severe storm warning for tonite…The other day, the winds were gusting above 60 mph. That’s as far as the wind gauge goes and it was jammed there… 3 plus inches of rain… With another one of these rolling in, I’d best get some lead weights to tie to my tail assembly… I have no intention of involuntary migrating…lolol No matter how attractive to the Storm Gods I might be! lol

Take care all of mine… Go in safety always… Remember to find the joy in each day… It’s the only way to go.

Many hugs, much love and loads of laffter… The fluffing and primping meems
