2008/07/05 1300 HRS Afternoon JD Sr....
All right! All right! All right! I know... I slept late today... Marv, before you even get started, Brat, I know I've disrupted your schedule! I did it apurpose, so there! I live to disturb you... gotcha Brat... lololol
Now, for those of you who might mistakenly believe that I am Ms. Neat and Tidy, don't let me disabuse you of the thought! Somehow tho, whether my feather beds are 'made' each day or not, has become the topic of conversation! Let me explain that my home made bed weighs a ton... I cannot move it out of the corner of the bed room. (I am sure there are 20th generation dust bunnies living under there.) Any way, it is a job and a half to straighten it so that is looks less unmade. I work to keep it looking sort of decent because you can see it in the background in my web cam.
Also, you must keep in mind that I have at least four dogs that have been in training for months for the Cover Diving Olympics! The official CDO has numerous events which I will not go into at the moment! The point being, though, is the results to my old fashioned bed!
Newbie has chewed on the foot of the bed and one of the bed posts. The Wrecking Crew (See photo section) re-arrange everything to their satisfaction and comfort...The 'unmade bed' dog ( also in photos on profile page), piles the pillows up against the far wall, then snuggles in! Spudley, neat little dog that he is, just flops on his back in the middle of the top cover... None of this fancy stuff for him... he is a simple living critter...lolol Well, needless to say, all of this cover diving, re-arranging, flopping and wriggling does ruin the semi neat look of the bed.
After much pondering on this opposition of thoughts, I have decided the heck with it... I will no longer attempt to keep the covers neat and tidy...will not plump pillows...put a sheet on the top comforter... nope, not anymore! Meems gives up... Gonna dump all on the floor and join the dogs there when sleep time comes! Look at all the work I will save...
Meems must now wish a happy birthday to a man who doubted the emom's word! Look out xe2cift, Meems is gonna getcha! On April 1st this year, the editor and owner of the Mountain News (Meems) put out a special edition with a News Flash! A SPECKLED SEA MONSTER was spotted in the vicinity of Cow Creek, KY. A photograph was supplied and verified as being untouched, un- retouched and genuinely real! Old timers in the area were interviewed but were hesitant about venturing an opinion. Any way, with all this verification of the sighting, xe2cift doubted the photos and interviews! Can you believe this... Would these lovely green eyes lie, make something up, imagine, construct a fairy tale and generally mislead the public? Oh yeah! Just ask anybody who knows me...Xe2, honey, I think there might just be a gotcha in there some where! Hugs honey, and much love... many happy more!

Hey kids, come on out on the back porch! The sun is up.. birds are singing and watch out, don't trip over the dogs! Sorry about the coffee not being ready! The old pot (the big one) quit last evening! Had to round up the small one cup maker... but at least, it is hot and fresh when it is done... line forms on the right! lolol
I spent the afternoon yesterday re wording and playing with my response letter to the head of the SS office in the nearby county...Letter went out in today's mail.
Be warned all, that nothing, absolutely nothing, will get my attention any more quickly than underestimating or insulting my intelligence! Meems may be scattered but meems ain't stupid!
Another big no-no is to force meems into a corner when I have nothing left to lose! Never, ever do that to anyone!
Choose your battles carefully and know thy enemy! True words to live by... honest!
Now, I've got to tell you about the Graywolf! Today is him's birthday! The wolfer and I have been friends for a long time now...He is a writer and a good one. However, he is not that quick at getting the kitchen remodeling done! I figure his lady is a saint for putting up with him! Gotcha Wolfer! lololol hugs honey and happy birthday.... with many many more to come!
And Marv, my buddy, my pal, the rotten kid, has been celebrating Cinco De Mayo...Too much partying, I guess! Two word emails yesterday... "head hurts". Would this imply that the Marv has a hangover? Too much 'joy juice'? ... lolol Nah! Would I torment a pal who has a hangover? OH YEAH! No doubt about it! gotcha Brat!
Oh dear, I must rake the bedroom and hall way floors again! Newbie is shedding big sheets of fur/hair all over the place...still! His ear is healing nicely and he is back to his old self...Lord help me! He is still wanting to climb in my lap...steal my shoes...and remove all the contents from the waste paper basket in the bedroom and bath room. Did I mention that he has shredded the local papers again... at least this time I was able to read them first. There is nothing left of the small throw rug except a few threads BUT the back walls are still standing! The back porch guard rail has a few uprights missing now...hmmm...wonder who might have chewed them up...Must have been one of the little dogs! Yeah, right!
Meems is off to work again today...You guys and gals try to stay out of trouble... Do NOT follow my example...lol

Welcome, home dear, hearts welcome home! Coffee's fresh, scrambleds .. toast..bacon and sugar cured hickory smoked ham...biscuits ..fried apples...home fries...Sheesh, I making my self hungry! lololol Anyway, get in here and eat and enjoy the companionship.
Look out for the dogs tho. Newbie is pestering the living daylights out of me already. He will do the same thing to you, looking for hand outs... He is not starving even tho he will try to convince you that he is! He is a magnificent con artist and sneaky to boot! In fact, all six dogs are con artists. What one doesn't think of to get into, the others will. People tell me my dogs are spoiled. What? Who me? Spoil a critter? Nah! Never happen... Again would these lovely green eyes LIE?
Oh yeah... without hesitation! lolol
Yesterday afternoon, I walked down the hill to throw some food for the chickyducks...Romeo was complaining again...Feed Me! Feed Me! Now, here is another critter who is NOT starving...Well, I sorta', kinda' spoiled him when he was little...I bribed him with lemon cookies! Oh yeah...him loves lemon cookies..or crackers or bread or or or...That bird will eat almost anything...even cabbage by the head! Ducks like cabbage too!
Coming back up the hill, I saw my flyguys up there in the blue having themselves a time...X's all over the place...still have never seen an O but maybe someday, I hope...but I can imagine myself up there...mesmerized by the beauty I would see all around me... hugs, mine!
I spent time yesterday doing (here comes the big nasty word again) house work! Did I ever mention that I hate housework? Well I do...! Absolutely, no doubt about it, I don't like it! Lolol...Tugging, hauling and toting feather beds outside to air is not my idea of fun and games! The plus side of all this heavy duty stuff is the smell of the sun and outdoors on your bed! Pillows too.
Wowser!
I have to laugh...The Garymeister has announced he will be painting the deck at his place! Now for that, I could pull up a chair and watch all day... give directions, instructions and generally be a pest! lolol I would probably end up dipped in the paint bucket by the Boss as punishment for my unwanted attention! I can sit all day and watch some one else work! gotcha boss! hugs
KK is being nice to me for a change and so is Marv! They are up to sumfin...I can feel it in my bones...Oh well, I will find out eventually...and I will get even... just remember that you two...and be forewarned!
Guess that's it for now.. meems gots a lot of work to do.

Welcome home, dear hearts, welcome home! Get in here, grab some coffee and good hot food... Give a new meaning to 'fill'er up! lolol Sun's up, shining bright, a few clouds, light breeze and I do think it is gonna be a gorgeous day here in the mountains. Little chilly yet but sweatshirt or a light jacket will probably do.
Gee, sorry about the following but I received a letter yesterday from SocSec. which made no sense at all. lolol...Meems needs to start writing letters again...Oh well, I needed something more to keep brain active! NOT!
And has anyone besides me had trouble with everything on line the past couple of days... My email, printer, photo stuff, transferring copies of paper work have all changed. Is it me? I don't think so but I must ask what happened to the simple life on the net? Just about the time I have something figured out, it's gets changed and not always for the better...If it ain't broke, why do 'they' need to fix it? I believe that is the question of the ages...
Marv is on a roll again and he is pickin on this poor lil ole lady..meems. Meems is nice most of the time. Would these lovely green eyes make something up? Not this time...lolol What will he be up to next? I'm afraid to find out!
Newbie is right up there with the Marv. The back walls are still standing. So am I, just barely...my arms are now covered with black and blue polka dots from Newbie's teeth. And he has decided that he belongs in meems' lap.
This wouldn't be all bad, he is a cuddlesome dog. However, he has all the grace of a teenager during a growing spurt and the weight of a sumo wrestler! These two items are not compatible with this old body...I think I am taking a beating here! lolol Wouldn't trade it for the world tho. If I can survive this terrible two's doggie style, I will survive anything! This critter is a walking disaster just waiting to happen.
I guess that's it for the day...Meems is gonna' go lookin' for trouble to day.. Maybe I won't be able to find any! lolol

Sheesh, it's raining, chilly, and I am freezing...I want to go back to bed and curl up with dogs...get warm...go back to sleep!
Welcome home, dear hearts, welcome home. Coffee's hot, so's the food...Dig in, enjoy, and DON'T feed the dogs scraps from the table. No food fights while my back is turned either!
Well, kids, today is the NapaNags day! Now, the NN is in a class by himself. He appears to be intelligent, has a way with words (Oh yeah) but just can't seem to learn not to mess with the Meems. In other words, he is cute and cuddly but not too bright. Gotcha NN... hugs
Flying Brian's birthday today. What a rotten kid! Nah, he ain't too bad yet but he is learning! lolol All us ol gals are trying to house break him... Takes a while with these young'uns... gotcha Brian! hugs and many happy more!
Keeping this short today... Meems would have taken nap before doing the News but Marv would be on line chewing my ears off...Him do get upset when the News is late! LOLOL...all part of his charm!

2008/02/05 0945 HRS Mornin' JD Sr.
Anybody want a dog? Sweet natured, gentle, loving, loyal and true blue? Newbie is back to normal and so is meems...He weighs about 90 pounds now... loves to lean against the meems and almost knocks me over! Tried to con the meems last nite! I am minding own business here in swinging chair and he wants up in my lap! Now this is not going to work... at all! He tries to sweet talk me by chewing on arm and hands! I am saying (read screaming here)off and no and and and.... lolol Does he pay any attention? I don't think so!
Well, I decide to bribe him...As NN can tell you, I have a package of Oreos right next to me.... I get a piece of cookie... Tell Newbie to Sit! He sits, I give cookie! I tell him, 'all gone'... Newbie looks disappointed but resigned. He acts like he wants to get under puter table but he is blocked. Meems has had enuf of crawling on floor, between table legs, around filing cabinets to turn the surge protector back on. What I thought he was doing and what was actually occurring are two different things entirely.
Now, at heart, I am a barefoot type mountain woman. I had taken my shoes off and they were on the floor by my feet. While I thought he was trying to get under the table, he was really trying to steal one of my unchewed shoes. He finally got one and spun away from me, prize in his mouth!
I, of course, being the intelligent and quick witted person that I am, caught on right away.(read several seconds here). I come out of the chair, squalling NEWBIE at the top of my lungs... Newbie keeps going, smart dog. Well, I catch up with him before he gets out bedroom door. Get my shoe back in one piece and start to scold him!
Well, the Newbie, master charmer that he is, promptly sits... assumes the appearance of complete innocence and I cracked up... You cannot scold an animal if you have the giggles.. It just don't work! Trust me I have tried...The brat has outsmarted me again! I am so glad!
Well, kids, that's it for today...Please do not follow my example...try to stay out of trouble... lolol

Hey everybody! Welcome home, dear hearts, welcome home! Y'all get in here and eat...Breakfast is ready and hot! Pancakes and maple syrup, blueberry muffins and not a calory in the bunch. Would I lie? OH yeah! but go ahead and enjoy! Little too chilly this morning to set on the porch. Well, you can...just be sure to bundle up!
Even though it was mostly cloudy after sunset yesterday, I did get to see some of my flyguys up there a heading home as fast as their tail assemblys would let them. Did see some 3T's up there. (tic tac toe). And because of the layering, I did see the con trails stitching their way through the clouds. I know it is serious business but I sure would love to be up there playing in the clouds...just for a little while...How glorious! hugs guys...
Guess there won't be any air time here today...No clouds, very dry air and high, dangerous winds predicted for this afternoon...Officials are really concerned about forest fires in these conditions. Been in the middle of a couple of those and I rather not do it again!
Speaking of disasters, the Newbie is much much better and back to his usual rowdy self...Oh, dear me! I heard the most unexpected sounds coming from the back porch before I went to town yesterday morning. Newbie was thumping, jumping on porch...A cardinal complaining mightily. Now what?!? I go out to check...I find Newbie doing an excellent job of protecting the house and its contents from invasion by a herd of cardinals...Poor birds, poor me! I really feel safe! lolol
Newbie just loves the hidey hole under the computer table... his very own cave of sorts...I don't mind dogs being under table until Newbie decides to change his position. Occasionally he will, by accident, turn off the surge protector for the puter system. System off? The emom throws a hissy fit for this means I must get down on the floor...crawl between table legs...around a filing cabinet and then reach on/off switch in the darkest part of the room. No problem doing this part. It's the backing out that gets to me! Getting to old for this stuff.
Now for the updates on Wednesday's Birth day bash for the KK. Gee whiz...there were lots of 'Happy's', cards, gifts, comments and replies...there was even a fantastic gotcha Roast for her by Karen ... Check out CCC and TLS to see what her friends (?) thought and said...It pains me deeply to say this but the lady deserved everything she got yesterday...everything... lolol gotcha KK hugs

Welcome home, all of mine, welcome home! Get in here and help selves to the goodies and blueberry muffins...oh yeah! Pancakes and hot syrup... buttered biscuits. Hot coffee and tea makings. Get warmed up it is really chilly out there right now...'Redbud' spring is over and now the real one will soon be here to stay.
Oh dear, guess who ate the rest of my fleece lined slipper boot and a little more of the throw rug? Nah, really? Do you suppose the Newbie would do something like that...poor little critter is just starving to death! I am lying in my teeth! Sheesh... That dog is rapidly eating me out of house and home. Well, I guess I can handle it as long as he leaves some of the back walls standing! I didn't think I would ever find another dog as active and into everything as a lab. Boy, was I wrong...Newbie wins in the chewing department, hands down. lolol I am so glad! He is very much better...

Another iffy day here...Thick clouds, low ceiling, winds and chilly...If it gets too bad, I just might go back to bed for a nap...lolol

Hush Marvin! Sheesh, the boy gets all bent out of shape if I disrupt his schedule! Trust me, good ppl, there is no such thing as a schedule for the Meems!
The guy who commissioned the paintings on the turkey callers came out today to pick them up and dropped off two more to be painted...Now I have four items to be done and finished. This does not count the ones I have in mind to do! Wowser, I am having the best time!
I must give a big thank you to two people who help me tremendously! TCornish, bless his heart, keeps all of mine updated on the latest veteran's info. He just quietly goes about doing an excellent job and I sincerely appreciate it.
Then there is KK... Well, how do I explain this rotten kid who is so generous with her time and abilities? I guess I don't explain her! She is rotten to the core, picks on meems unmercifully and keeps me up way past my bed time! These are a few of her good points....I hesitate to start on the bad... one is only allowed so many keystrokes...lolol gotcha!
And then, there is BG... Glenys has an accent she tries to teach me... A hopeless task cause meems is definitely southern or midwest. However, she refuses to give up on me... This morning I received a Monk e mail from her that cracked me up! lolol Keep trying Babes, you might succeed yet!
