I am a single mother/caregiver of my dear mother.Just built a beautiful home in centeral Michigan where I live with my family of 3. My daughter 18 and son 19 both are a joy and greatly loved by their mother. I have been so busy making this house a home and landscaping outdoors all summer to have a beautiful yard. My intentions are getting there and it looks wonderful now.

My son is planning to become a writer and second year in college his short story will be entered in a contest. I am proud of this young man and when he was 12 he wrote a poem and it was published!

My daughter is too a writer. Her poem has a copy right and she did this when she was 14. She is a senior in high school and that keeps me busy! I am very proud of her too!

GONE
Where is my Mother...Where has she gone?
The one who loved us and steered us from wrong.
Prepared our meals ...and wiped our tears,
Cuddled us close... And calmed our fears.
Made sure we were clean...From head to toe,
If we missed a spot...She would always know.
When we fell off our bikes ...She would always be,
There with a band-aid..To patch the knees.
Refereed the fights...between sisters and brothers,
Trying not to side ..With one or the other.
Was always there ...When we came home,
Watching the clock...If we were too long.
Today as I look...At the Mother who cared,
I have to realize..She is no longer there.
Her body still functions ...As she walks about,
But the Mother we knew...Is gone there's no doubt.
But somewhere very deep...Inside that old shell,
Is the loving Mother..We all knew so well,
Her mind relives ...The days long past,
But memories of today...Refuse to last.
I have to believe...As hard it may be,
Somewhere deep inside...She will recognize me.
Where has she gone?...I really can't tell,
But she is still the Mother...We all knew so well.

My psoriasis is a turn off...I wish one day there will be a cure. I have been a ginnie pig at U of M for years in hopes of a cure.
